Ace, Kitchen and Boys

A yawn left Zeke's mouth as he woke up from his sleep. He doesn't know why Carl woke him up so early in the morning.
"Why did you wake me up so early in the morning?" Zeke whined looking at Carl.
"Dude, we have our game today. Before that we are going on a morning run, you have to be on the healthy side and take care of your body," Carl said tieing his shoelaces.
"But why?"
"Because of the unhealthy food that you stuff your mouth with. You don't exercise daily, at least join us for a run sometimes. Take care of your body and health," Carl said.
Kayden shook his head, he bent down and started tieing Zeke's shoelaces.
"You guys are joining the run and gym?" Rhett asked walking into the dormitory with Daman.
"We are," Carl replied.
"Where is Logan?" Daman asked.
"He went to get socks," Carl said.
"Gym? We are going to the gym too? Why are we going to the gym?" Zeke asked.
Kayden, Rhett and Daman started laughing while Carl shook his head. "We are going to the gym. Join us if you feel motivated after the run. Don't worry, we will take care of you," Rhett said.
"If you don't feel like going to the gym after the run. Just come nack and take rest until we return," Kayden said placing his hand on Zeke's shoulder.
Greyson pushed his hair back as he wandered towards the kitchen. It is seven in the morning, the boys and he is going for a run and then to the gym. By the time they will return back home, it will be around ten.
By eleven they can start their training. Greyson wandered into the kitchen to get water but got surprised to see Ace early in the morning.
Greyson raised his brow looking at Ace who is chopping vegetables. "Good morning," Greyson said.
Ace got startled by the noise. he stopped what he is doing and looked up to see Greyson who is looking back at him.
"Good morning, Greyson," Ace said.
"What are you doing?" Greyson asked taking steps towards Ace.
"Cooking."
"Early in the morning?" Greyson asked.
The siblings do question a lot. Ace thought in his mind. "Yeah, I'm leaving today and I have to cook and make the lunch box," Ace replied.
Greyson didn't say anything, he nodded his head. Ace didn't know that the boys wake up early in the morning. They wake up around eleven or twelve.
"Hmm, what are you doing early in the morning?" Ace asked.
"We all are going on a morning run and then to the gym."
Ace's eyes slightly widened but Greyson couldn't see it as his back is facing Ace. Greyson is filling his water bottle.
"Shut up, it wasn't me who farted so much in sleep," Myles said to Brooks as they both entered the kitchen to get their protein bars that are stored in the kitchen pantry.
They both got surprised seeing Ace holding a knife and in the kitchen.
"brother Ace, good morning. What a surprise, what are you doing?" Brooks asked.
"Good morning brother Ace," Myles said with his gaze fixed on the vegetables.
"What are you doing brother Ace? Are you making breakfast?" Myles asked.
"Breakfast? Who is preparing breakfast early in the morning?" Zeke asked confused walking into the kitchen with Carl.
"Brother Ace?" Zeke asked with wide eyes. Ace blinked his eyes looking at the boys.
"Are you preparing breakfast for us?" Zeke asked in shock.
They never saw their brother Ace in the kitchen nor do they know that he can cook. They all waited for Ace to answer their questions while Greyson leaned against the island watching Ace and the boys.
He saw the slight awkwardness and uncomfortable expression cross on Ace's face. He understood that Ace is not uncomfortable with boys being in the same room.
"Let's go, no one is staying back in here. I'm going for the walk and I want everyone to be out," Greyson said in his serious voice.
"Let's go," Brooks said pulling Myles with him when he understood Greyson.
"Let's go too," Carl said getting the message.
"Why are they taking so much time to step out of the kitchen?" Logan asked.
"No idea," Rhett replied.
Ace nodded his head looking at Greyson. Greyson nodded his head back before leaving the kitchen.
"Carl, for whom brother Ace is preparing the breakfast?" Zeke asked.
"How would I know?" Carl replied.
"Noone knows nothing, Zeke. Stop asking questions," Greyson said.
Carl and Zeke shut their mouths when they heard Greyson's voice. They would be lying if they say they aren't a bit scared of Greyson after their brother Ace.
"What took you guys so long to step out?" Logan asked when he saw the boys stepping out.
"Nothing, let's go," Carl said when he saw Greyson.
Ace shook his head before continuing with his work. Somewhere he remembered that Julie prefers picnics and homemade food. Blake has mentioned all her likes and dislikes in his journal and story.
When he is done with the preparation he packed the food into the boxes neatly and slowly. He even cut fruit arranged them in the boxes before placing them in the basket that he bought from the supermarket.
"Let's leave it here and go get ready," he told himself before going towards his room.

He put on his watch when his phone started ringing, he expected it to be Julie's call but he saw Gargi's name. He answered the call.
"Hello?"
"Hey, Ace."
"Hi, Gargi," Ace said looking at his reflection in the mirror.
"How are you, Ace? It's been a while that I spoke with you," Gargi said crossing her arms as she looked out of her window.
"I'm good, Gargi. How are you?" Ace asked wandering towards his shoe wardrobe.
"I'm good."
"Okay, you wanna talk about something?" Ace asked.
"I called you to know if you are free today. I don't have any appointments today, we could meet for a coffee," Gargi said.
"Sorry, Gargi. I actually have plans today. Maybe some other day, I will buy you coffee. Now I need to leave," Ace said when he got Julie's text.
Gargi's brows frowned in confusion. "Okay."
"Take care," Ace said ending the call.
Ace went down to the kitchen, he need to leave before the boys are back. He doesn't wanna see Lexon too. He knew Lexon would be asking questions .
Ace picked his basket and left the house immediately. Thankfully the boys didn't return from gym nor he saw Lexon.
