Samantala sa kabilang panig ng mundo..

"What are you doing here, Red? I thought you're off playing with your blinky friends from the west?" bungad ng isang hugis tao sa taas ng isang puno

"Jidu, how are you, old friend?" Bati naman ni Red dito.

"We're all good here, getting pretty boring if you ask me. After that battle we had against the dragon to get his chains, nothing much has happened here." Walang kabuhay buhay na kwento nito.

"Well, at least you're at peace. Have you heard what's happening in the Southeastern lands?" tanong nya rito.

"Nope, what's happenning?" namilog ang mga mata nito at lumapit sa kanya.

At nakita nya ang kabuuan ng binatang matsing na nakasuot ng parang sleeveless na armor at may nakasukbit na pana sa likod nito. Naka shades rin ito kahit na malalim ang gabi.

Ikunuwento naman ni Red lahat ng pangyayari dito sa matagal na nyang kaibigang anak ng legendary Monkey King.

"Really?? The king of vampires has locked the great Zeus in his own lair? How did he do that?!" gulat pero curious na tanong ni Jidu kay Red.

"I am not really sure how they did it, but they did. I think he got some help from other legendary monsters and demons." Paliwanang ni Red sa kaibigan.

"Wow! There must have been chaos there when they left..

Why are they here now? Why won't they just overthrow the old gods and take over mt. olympus?" tanong pa rin nito.

"That's the thing, they don't wanna do that just yet. They know that the other remaining old gods are still formidable, so they want to strengthen their ranks first before they do the final attack." Patuloy na paliwanag ni Red.

"Oh my! That sounds like so much fun! I wish I could join you in battle against those monsters and demons! You know I always wanted to have the chance to face one! Especially the higher demons!" parang excited pa nitong sabi.

"Well, I know you, old chum. I know you're always up to a good challenge. But, I am pretty sure you're father wouldn't let you leave this kingdom unless it's a life or death situation." Sagot naman ni Red.

"I know.. So.. why are you here exactly?" tanong ulit nito.

"I am hoping to talk to your father and see if he can lend us a hand with the battle," sagot ni Red.

"Hah! Knowing that old king! He wouldn't even listen to your story for a bit! All he cares about is this kingdom, and his position as the one true king." parang asar na sagot ni Jidu.

"Hhhhmmm.. That's true. But I have to try at least.." tugon ni Red.

"Then I'll join you! It's been a while since I've seen Father. Maybe he misses me, even for just a bit. Hahahah.." masayang sabi ng matsing.

"I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR YOUR WEEEZY STORY, OLD MESSENGER! I THOUGHT I'VE MADE IT CLEAR THAT ONCE YOU LEAVE THIS KINGDOM, YOU ARE NO LONGER WELCOME HERE!!" sigaw ng Monkey King kay Red pagdating nila sa palasyo nito.

"And you, my son. What makes you think that it's okay to leave your post in the farmlands??!! Who would fend our crops and harvests from those nasty Foxmen?? Go back to your post!!" galit na bulayaw naman nito sa anak.

"But father, the lands in the southeast are in danger! At least lend an ear to what Red has to say. We owe him that at least when he helped me get rid of the dragon some time back." Pakiusap nito sa ama.

"GET RID OF THE DRAGON??!! What are you talking about??

All you two did was to drive away that dragon that led him to stay in my favorite cave!!

I was the one who got rid of that dragon, not you two!!

That Red even stole the dragon's chains that made him vulnerable!!" galit na sagot pa rin nito.

"That's why you owe him one, father! If he hadn't stolen those chains, you may not have defeated the dragon. Who knows?!" bibong sagot nito sa ama.

"HHhhhhmmmm... clever as a real son of mine.

Okay Red, you got a minute. Speak." paubaya naman nito sa kahilingan ng anak.

Idinetalya naman ni Red ang mga pangyayari dito.

Pagkatapos ay malalim itong nag isip.

"This is not good. It may not be happening here, but it will only take a matter of time until he gets an army strong enough to try and take my kingdom." mahinang salita ng monkey king.

"I would love to help you out, Red. But I have to think about the people of my kingdom first. I need to prepare them for what's about to come." matigas nitong pahayag.

"You may take as many armaments and weapons as you can carry, but I am afraid I cannot lend you my soldiers. We have our own land to defend." pagtatapos nito sa usapan sabay talikod na kay Red.

Malungkot naman naglakad palabas ang dalawa na nabigo sa misyon nila.

"Hey, I got an idea! What do you think about wielding the greatest staff in the history of martial arts?" Kumikinang ang mtang sabi ni Jidu kay Red.

"Y-Y-you mean, the legendary monkey king bar?? gulat na sagot ni Red.

"Yes!! My father just told you to take any armor and weapons you like.

So why not the most powerful one?" Masayang sagot nito.

"Oh boy, I don't like where this is going..

I don't want that crazy king to beat the life out of me.

And besides, I don't know where he keeps it." kinakabahang sagot nito sa kaibigan.

"Maybe you don't." sagot ng matsing sabay kindat.

"Here you go! The one and only Monkey King Bar!!" masayang sabi ni Jidu sabay labas ng animo'y isang toothpick lang na staff.

"Awesome!!! Now I can join the battle with another legendary weapon!" masayang sagot ni Red sabay kukunin sana ang staff mula sa kamay ni Jidu.

Nang biglang isinara nito ang kamay nya.

"This staff is not going anywhere without me. You want the staff, you have to take me with you too." Matigas na pahayag ni Jidu.

Napangiti naman si Red.

"I would love to go to that battle side by side with you again, my friend." Masayang sagot ni Red sabay yakap sa kaibigan.

"But aren't you afraid that your father would find out about this?" takang tanong nito.

"Let me worry about that. I have it all covered. Besides, my father is always angry. What makes this time any different?" at sabay nagtawanan ang magkaibigan.

"My King! We just received a report that Jidu left a clone on his behalf to guard the farmlands. It's just standing over the fields like a scarecrow." ulat ng isang kawal sa monkey king.

"What??!!!

So, he left his post to join the Red in the battle..

Go get my staff. I'll teach that stupid monkey a lesson he will never forget." Galit na utos nito sa kawal.

"T-That's the other thing, my King. Y-Y-your staff is not on its shelf." Takot na sagot nito sa hari.

"HUWAATTTT??!!! I told them to get whatever weapon they want, but I didn't tell them to take my staff!

Those idiots!!!!

I'LL KILL YOUUUU!!!!" galit na sigaw ng monkey king.

A few days back...

Somewhere in Bhutan..

"Are you sure you want to do this? I mean, I trust that this is for a good cause, but you've created so much chaos before you left, brother Orange. I am not sure that the Master Dharma would be so welcoming." nag aalalang sambit ng isang monk.

"I have to do this, my brother. The lands in the east are in danger." Matatag naman sagot ni Orange.

"At least let me talk to her first. Let me remind her of your good deeds before you face her." Nag aalala pa rin nitong pakiusap.

"We have no time, my brother. A war is brewing as we speak. We can't waste any time worrying about ourselves when the lands we vowed to protect are in peril." Seryosong sabi nito habang nakahawak sa magkabilang balikat ng monk.

Pagkapasok pa lang ni Orange sa harapan ng monasteryo ay tumilapon na siya palabas at pababa sa napakahabang hagdan paakyat nito.

"You are not allowed to set foot on this Holy Monastery, you filthy old messenger!" matigas na sambit ng matangkad na leader ng mga monk ng monasteryo.

"I-I-I didn't come here to seek your forgiveness, my Master Dharma.. I came here to seek help in the upcoming war in the East." Hirap sa pag hingang sagot ni Orange dito.

"Help? And where was that help when we were attacked by the Samurai? Did anybody help us when we almost lost our lands?" tanong nito kay Orange.

"Even you, a vowed monk, have abandoned us before the invasion. And now you want our help? Talk about Kharma.." napapangising patuloy nito.

Nanatiling naka yuko sa ibaba ng huling hagdan si Orange. Hindi gumagalaw bilang respeto at pakikiusap sa dating guro niya.

Hindi naman ito pinansin ng Dharma at pumasok na ito sa loob ng monasteryo.

May ilang araw pa ang nagdaan ngunit hindi pa rin gumagalaw sa kinatatayuan si Orange.

"Very well..

We wouldn't bother sending any of our forces to defend those who do not care about others..

But I know you.

Despite leaving us to fend against the Samurai ourselves, you've done quite an impressive list of tasks for our Monastery.

So I'll give a favor.

If you can get the 999 swords owned and taken care of by Benkei himself, I'll let you use the Khakkhara to aid you in your upcoming battle." Alok ng Dharma kay Orange.

"B-B-but Master, hasn't Benkei gone crazy and turned himself into a demon in his cave?" takot na tanong ng monk kay Dharma.

"That's not my problem." walang emosyong sagot nito sa monk.

"You have until midnight, Orange." sabi nito sabay pasok ulit sa loob ng monasteryo.

"Don't do it, my brother. That is a suicide mission. You don't have enough power to face Benkei in his old self, let alone his demon form now!" babala ng monk kay Orange.

"I don't have a choice, my brother. I have to do anything I can to gain any advantage in this upcoming war. I have to do this." seryosong sagot nito sa kaibigang nagaalala.

Sa kweba ni Benkei..

"WHO DARES ENTER MY LAIR??!!" sigaw ni Benkei nang maramdaman ang presenya ni Orange.

"A single monk dares to challenge me?! Hahaha.. You're funny. I have defeated armies of samurai by myself, and you think you can just get your way with me?" natatawang sabi nito.

"I don't want any trouble, great Benkei. I just need to borrow your swords." sagot ni Orange dito sabay pakita sa demon.

"And what are you going to do with a thousand swords?!" tanong nito.

"You only have 999 by my count," sagot ni Orange.

"DO NOT MOCK ME YOU WEAK MONK!!" sigaw nito.

"You know I got a thousand, I just didn't bring Yoshitsune's sword back as a sign of respect for our well-fought battle." paliwanag ng demon.

"Uuuhhhmmm I think you only got about 499 right now." sabi naman ni Orange habang ipinapakita rito ang hawak na dalang sako ng mga samurai swords na hawak sa magkabilang kamay.

"W-whut??!! How did you get those?" galit na tanong nito kay Orange.

"Simple, I just took them while you're busy with your reminiscing story." Nakangiting sabi ni Orange.

"Well, those are the last of my swords you'll ever touch. I'll kill you if you don't give them back right now." Babala nito dito.

"Why would I want to give you back about 700 of your swords?" sagot naman ni Orange na may hawak na namang dagdag na mga espada.

"What t-the... How are you doing this? I should have sensed it if you sneaked up around me. HOW??!!!" pagalit nang sigaw nito.

"I think your obsession has gotten the better of you, great Benkei. You used to be a great warrior.

The best monk, if there ever was one.

You did get so much stronger, driven by your desire to get your swords.

But you lost your soul in the process..

You lost your connection to your very self..

Look at you now..

You're a demon.." malungkot na sabi ni Orange dito.

"AAArrrgghhhhh! Give me back my swords!!!" lalo pa itong nagalit nanag makitang hawak na lahat ni Orange ang mga espada nya.

"I'll give you a deal. I'll hide one of your swords here in your own lair. And if you find it, I'll give you back all the other 998 of them." Alok nito sa demon.

"Haah!! Stupid deal. Of course I'll find it. This is my lair! I know all its corners and all its secrets!! You pathetic fool!

Go ahead and hide it! I'll stab you with it, and all of the others after I find it. Hahahaha" baliw na tawa nito.

"Well, you can start searching now." tugon naman ni Orange dito saka dahan dahang lumabas ng kweba at umalis sa lugar na iyon.

Sa monasteryo..

"Impressive.. I didn't think anybody could do that task alone. You never fail to amaze me with your quick thinking and skills, Orange. Or should I call you, Raj.." nakangiting sabi ng Dharma kay Orange.

"I really hate to do this, but I gave you my word. Here is the Khakkhara to help you win this war.

But I warn you, if you lose the Khakkhara or if it falls into the hands of the evil forces, I will seek you out and destroy each and every one of your lineages." Seryosong babala nito.

"I promise to take care of your gift, my Master Dharma.. I'll protect it with my life.. Thank you" puno ng paggalang na sagot ni Orange sabay yuko sa harap ng Dharma.

"And one more thing, Raj..

Welcome home.." sabi nito sabay talikod at dumiretso papaloob ng monasteryo.

Napangiti naman si Orange at yumukod ulit ng ilang ulit bilang respeto at pasasalamat..
