Saving her

Therin P.O.V

I did it, finally, I've escaped my father and now I am on my way to find whoever that woman was, she's probably long gone by now but there may be a chance that I find her, yeah a fat chance, I snicker at myself. My ribs are broken, my wrist is better after some ice and some type of cream, no idea I didn't learn a lot about medical, my father had said it's a waste of time since we have the medics on hand, pffft I wish I actually learned some of that, my back's hurting but all in all I think I'm ok, I just packed some clothes, food, water, my sword and my side arm, only two magazines though, not a whole lot of protection.

I get to the main road after getting out of the forest. I turn and start walking down the road just off the side so no one hits me and so no one sees me. Few cars pass by but none are from my group, thankfully no one has noticed my disappearance yet. It's pitch black yet I don't run into anything thankfully. After what seems like forever I rest, take out a bottle of water and a granola bar, I eat and drink and then am on my way again, just ahead looks to be a little dinner. I stop off to use the restroom. Its a little 1950's style dinner, the waitresses are dressed in poodle skirts and button up shirts and they are on roller skates, Ive never seen anything like it. "Hiya darlin." This one little old lady says standing behind the counter says in a cheery voice. "Can I use your restroom?" I ask visibly uncomfortable beings I need to use the facilities, "want something to eat as well?" She asks in a sweet tone. " No thank you ma'am." I respond, she directs me to the restroom and I leave that way. As I come back out she smiles and puts a piece of pie in front of me, "here sugar take a load off." Something memorizing about her eyes makes me sit down and eat. "Coffee?" She asks with a smile, "yes ma'am" I retort. I see her name tag and it reads Lisa, "Lisa ? Can I ask you something?" " What is it" with a smile, "what is a 50's dinner doing out in the middle of nowhere?" I asked confused.

"Oh we are just here for travelers who may need a pick me up, or need some advice, or anything else really." I am whole heatedly confused by this whole situation, she must've seen this confusion " don't you worry about what I mean right now Therin." My eyes shoot directly up at her "i-i never told you my name!?" She gives me a sweet smile that would put anyone at ease "you must hurry if you are going to get there in time." Her smile may be sweet but her eyes have gone black. She starts to sway and a voice that wasn't her own comes out of her mouth.

" When the clock strikes, darkness comes, only one who walks a different path, saves a love they never knew, half past the chime they will be down, blood spattering all around." Her eyes go back to their unusual marble like color. "Well will there be anything else sweetie?" Noticing the plate and mug empty, "I have no money ma'am." With a sad look on my face. She smiles at me "I never said anything about money, I only asked if there was anything else you need." As if my brain knew what she meant beings my mind didn't I blurt out "I'm looking for this girl that escaped from my father, she's around 5'8, red hair , and I can't stop thinking about her." She gives me a wink, " walk another mile and head into the woods on the opposite side of the road, keep going until you hear the fight." I gasp " fight? What fight?" And at that she walks away with my dishes. I get up wincing I swear under my breath turn and rush out as fast as I can , in the back of my mind I hear myself screaming in pain because of my injuries, I run across the street and something tells me to slow down remembering what she had said, I start walking, I reach the mile that she said to get to and I turn walking into the forest. After a while I hear it, a battle. The sounds of metal on metal, barking from wolves screams from people getting their skin and muscles ripped apart, bones being broken. I keep scanning, pulling my sword out I see her off in the distance, the joy I had felt the couple of days prior fills me once again I can't help a smile come across my face, but it doesn't last as she is knocked down and bitten by a rather large wolf.

Amanda P.O.V

"We're being attacked!" I mind link Zachary as I run outside, "your knife won't do the trick this time." Jade says in the back of my mind, she's right, I find a staff like stick outside, it's just sturdy enough. I run out to one of the rouges, I recognize him from my outing a few days ago. I hit him in the head with all my strength with a downward motion knocking him to the ground, kicking him in the skull like a professional football player, if he's not dead then he's seriously in trouble. I get to the next one who's attacking one of my pack mates the staff going through their legs and lifting him my packmate bites his neck snapping it flipping him. I turn to see another rouge, I definitely reconize him, "ever get to grandmother's house ?!" He shouts before shifting into a black and silver wolf. I smile since I know I can beat him. He rushes me and I jump over narrowly missing with his teeth. I land behind him and take a stance, staff end pointed at him he growls, I retort "what? Don't dogs usually like sticks?" As I swing my staff at him. Something fills my nose, I don't know where it's coming from, it's light but i still smell it, I turn to look, the sun is setting and I don't see the source of where the smell is coming from. As I look around I feel a sharp pain in my shoulder, the rouge leader has bitten me and hard. I put the end of the staff in his mouth as to make it so he can't bite down any more. I hear it, a scream, from where I don't know, all of a sudden the pressure is now off of my shoulder as I see and smell him.

Therin P.O.V

I half run holding my ribs limping sword in hand and bag somewhere back behind me, stabbing these evil looking men, most haven't shifted, either they can't or just won't, looks of disbelief on others faces look at me in bewilderment as if to say "who's this guy or where did he come from?" She is holding the wolf off but he clamped down on her shoulder, yes I am in pain but that looks like it hurts worse than anything I've ever felt. She drops to a knee as he bites down harder, I see her put the stick in his mouth and try to pry it open. I am finally able to get to her and with one swipe his head leaves his body, she falls but before she passes out she utters one word, one word that I will remember as long as I live
