(Titus's POV)
A week had passed since that night at the lake. I didn't know why I ever thought of ignoring her; the Goddess has a way of bringing us together. Not that I'm complaining. Since that night, we have been on multiple dates, so you can say that we are secretly dating.
Aurora winked at me. "Well, I'm going to find Sadie. I need to talk to her about a certain something. See you, boys, at home." Aurora left to find Sadie.
"Well, I need to attend a pack meeting," Danny said. "The one that you boys don't have to go." Jack and I laughed at him. Danny groaned and left.
"So, is everything going well with Aurora?" Jack asked.
"Yeah, we're good. I showed Aurora the lake." I said.
"Did you want to talk about anything else?" Jack raised an eyebrow.
"Nah, I'm good." I shrugged, and then the school bell rang. "Welp, that's the bell. Don't want to be late for English," I walked off. I walked into the classroom and sat next to Aurora. I never cared about the class, but now I have something to look forward to, my fated mate.
"Hey, beautiful," I said.
"Well, hey there, handsome." Aurora blushed. "I was hoping that we could hang out tonight at my house," Aurora said.
"That sounds perfect." Then jack opened a mind link telling me to meet him outside the classroom. f**k my life. "I'll be right back."
I got out of my seat and met with Jack outside the classroom. "Jack, what is so important that you needed to disrupt me during class?"
Jack rolled his eyes. "Titus, what is the deal with you and Aurora? And don't give me that "We're Good" bullshit. Since we were in f*****g diapers, we have been best friends, and I know something is happening. I'm just trying to look out for you, bro,"
"I've been hanging with Aurora for the past week, and now we are dating," I admitted to Jack.
Jack's mouth was wide open with shock. "Dude, are you sure that's a good idea? You did say that you would stay away from her to keep her safe. What changed?"
"Aurora kissed me," I said. "You said that to me yourself; once you share your first kiss, your needs will only grow stronger. And my need for her has only grown stronger." I lowered my head in shame.
"Titus, you are the Future King of the Werewolves. f**k, you must be feeling hor--"
"I know!" I said, interrupting him.
"So, will you make it public to the pack?" Jack asked me.
"Whatever she wants, but me being a werewolf will stay a secret. But whatever she wants, I will give and do it for her." I said.
"What about your people? Your father?" Jack added.
I breathed deeply. "The fact that Aurora is my mate will stay between us, but this doesn't go public to anyone until Aurora says otherwise," I said.
"Okay, fine by me." Jack nodded in understanding. "At least you can now stop moaning and groaning over her." Jack snickered; he then rolled his eyes and walked off.
"I do not moan and groan over her, you d**k!!" I said to Jack as he walked off.
When school ended, Jack and I were called by our fathers. Things were about to worsen, and somehow Jack and I knew it. "The rogue wolves have started to cause chaos with some of the other packs. We need to sort out what we are going to do to bring peace and stop the rogue wolves from acting out." My father said. "We will be leaving in two days and be gone for a week. So get packing, boys."
Jack's father and my father left the office, leaving us alone to discuss our next move. "Well, I have to see Aurora and tell her that I will be gone for a week," I said.
"Oh bro, already can't get enough of her?" Jack teased.
"Have you seen her, Jack? I said, picturing her. She is like the Moon Goddess in the flesh!"
"Wait until you guys, mate, just being away from her for this long will kill you. That's why Erin and I are always linked."
"Dude, please remember that Erin is my sister." I looked at him with disgust.
We both left the conference room and met up with my sister Erin, and the look on her face showed that she knew something or had just discovered something. "Titus, you sly dog, you and Aurora are dating!?!" Erin squealed loudly. "AHHHH, THIS IS AMAZING!!!"
I glared at Jack. "You told her?" I growled.
"I didn't think you were keeping this from Erin." Jack shrugged, and I rolled my eyes.
"So this means I can finally start being friends with Aurora." Jack and I stared at her like she wasn't already friends with Aurora. "Oh, come on, big brother!! It would be weird if your sister and girlfriend didn't get along," Erin said.
"Okay, fine. But Aurora must never discover we are werewolves, and I would like to keep it that way." I said as Erin nodded. "I'm going to see my mate. Catch you guys later." I walked off.
(Aurora's POV)
I couldn't wait to see Titus again. I already missed him so much. It's like every time we separate; I feel so lost. I want to be by his side all the time. I had never felt this way towards anyone before; it felt weird, as it was like there was this pull towards him. Titus should be here soon; I guess I better get changed.
"Hey, baby," Titus said, his breath touching my neck. I shuddered with pleasure.
"Titus, don't sneak up on me like that!" I laughed a little. "I'm not even dressed."
"I'm not complaining. Are those new?" Titus said. "They look sexy."
"I was going to change before you got here, but how did you get in here?" I then looked at the open window. "Titus, this house is two stories tall; how?"
"I do parkour with Jack and Danny," Titus said. Then she approached me and cupped my face. "Don't think about my athletic abilities." Titus then kissed me with passion. As my lips touched his, I knew Titus couldn't hold himself back, and neither could I. He lifted me and walked to my bed; he laid me gently and kissed my stomach; I then stood up and got him on his back. I then got on top of him. Again, our lips pushed against each other, and I felt Titus's hand around my waist. As he looked at me with love and longing, I saw him covering my body with my arms and hands, and he gently pulled them away. "Why do you hide? You're beautiful?" Titus said.
I looked at Titus as I moved his hair away from his face. "What are you thinking right now?"
"That I need to stop now before I can't control myself," Titus said as I giggled. "Also, I will be away on Saturday for a week. My father is taking me on a trip; it's a family business. But, I will be home around this time next week." I cannot believe what I'm hearing. "I could choose not to go on this trip."
"I know this will be the longest week ever." I groaned.
Titus then ripped off his shirt, revealing his godlike body; how can a teenager get a body like this? He has a f*****g six-pack, and I can tell he's working on an eight-pack. God, can this man get any hotter? "So let's make the most of the time I have left with you." Titus smiled.
The next day came quickly. Titus explained what this trip was, and he was right, and it does sound boring. But last night was perfect. He was sleeping in Titus' arms, feeling his warmth on my skin as he embraced my body. He was very gentle, and I wanted him all the time and to have him sleep with me every night, letting him destroy my body. But there is just one little problem, and my parents will NEVER allow it. After my ex-boyfriend, I don't think they want me to date any boy. Titus is the hottest guy in Avalon High; look at this hunk, brown hair, blue eyes, and I think I have to mention the six-pack abs again. Many people would be crazy, too, not think he's hot.
It isn't very encouraging to know that all the girls are drawn to him. Every time I see the girls see us talking, I hear and see the girls staring and snickering. I listen to their whispers, their laughs. Titus doesn't seem to notice this, but I do.
"What does she have that I don't?"
"I don't know what Titus sees in this bitch."
"Sadie is going to be SO mad."
I love walking through the school, but I feel that Titus enjoys showing me off to everyone in school. I can feel something that is bringing us together, and I wonder if Titus can feel it too, but all I can say is that I'm happy to be at Titus's side.
"AW, look at you two love birds," Erin said with Jack at her side. "You two are the school's hottest couple." Erin winked as she approached us.
"Aurora, you have already met my twin sister, Erin, and Jack. Her boyfriend, my best friend."
"I'm thrilled that you and Titus are dating. You are all he talked about," Jack said. I giggled as Titus rubbed his neck in embarrassment.
"I find that adorable," I kissed his cheek.
"Okay, I just had a brilliant idea. Aurora, why don't you join us for dinner?!" Erin said.
I smiled at her idea; It was perfect; I could get to see Titus more before he left and met his parents. I then noticed them looking at each other with the weirdest facial expressions. It's like they are communicating telepathically or something, but that's ridiculous. "I would love to come to dinner! But I have to ask my parents first," I said.
"WHAT??" Titus yelled.
"Titus, I would love to meet your family. In a way, you already met mine." I said.
"YAY!!! I'm so excited. I'll let Titus know the time and date, and he can pass it on to you." Erin blew a kiss and walked off, and Jack said sorry. "JACK!!"
"I can understand if you don't want me to come, Titus. Family can be intense sometimes," I said.
Titus gave me the WTF look. "Are you kidding? I would love for you to come. It's just, um. I haven't exactly." Titus paused for a moment. "Told my parents about you." He smiled nervously.
"You haven't told your parents about me?! Titus, WHAT THE f**k IS WRONG WITH YOU?" I said, smacking his head and walking off. I was highly pissed.
"Aurora, WAIT!" I ignored him until we reached the school square. "Aurora, please wait!! Please let me explain. I haven't told them about you because they haven't been home. They've been across the world trying to sort out some issues. They just got home yesterday; I was planning on telling them tonight. Please, Aurora, please believe me."
I looked at him, still fuming. "Okay. I believe you. And I'm sorry for hitting you upside the head." I kissed the spot where I hit him. "But you better tell them tonight! I don't want to be the one sneaking around," I said.
"Why don't you come over tomorrow, and we can introduce them to you??" Titus suggested.
"What if they don't like me, Titus?" I said.
"What's not to like about you, Aurora?" Titus said. "You are beautiful inside and out. Not to mention your ass."
My mouth dropped, and I gave him an angry face after he made the snarky comment about my ass. I tried to tell him off, but that made his smile wider. He then picked me up and placed me over his shoulder. How the hell is he able to lift me so quickly? I couldn't even struggle to get free; I was ultimately in his grip. "TITUS, PUT ME DOWN!!! TITUS STOP TICKLING ME," I started screaming with laughter as he started tickling me. After struggling without success in getting out of his grip, I just gave up. He then took me to his car.
"What am I going to do with you, Miss Armstrong?" Titus said, and I giggled.
"You can punish me?" I said, and I placed my lips on his. "We should get going before my parents wonder where I am.
Titus then drove me home, and I opened the door laughing at his jokes. But then I locked eyes with my father, and I could tell he was not happy. "Uh, hi, daddy." My father approached us. "Daddy, you remember Titus? My boyfriend." I said nervously. I can tell that he is giving Titus the jitters, and I don't blame Titus for being a little spooked.
"Ahh, yes. Titus," My father sneered.
"Aurora? Is that you?" My mother said in the kitchen. She then poked her head beside the wall and saw Titus. "Oh Titus, it's good to see you again. Are you staying for dinner?"
Titus smiled. "Yeah, I would love to. Only if that's okay with you, Aurora?".
"Of course," I said, smiling at him.
"Good!! I will call you guys when you are ready." My mother then looked at my father. "Joesph, come help me in the kitchen, please." Then, my mother grabbed my father's wrist and dragged him into the kitchen.
"I'm sorry about my father," I said.
"It's fine; he's just being protective," Titus said, understanding my father's behavior. "As I said before, I don't blame him."
"Let's go to my bedroom while we wait for dinner," I suggested, and Titus nodded,
We got to my bedroom, and Titus sat on my bed. "I have to admit that walking through the front door is more satisfying than going through the damn window." Titus laughed.
"Yeah, this is much nicer, Titus." I smiled.
"Hey, Aurora. Who is this girl next to you? Titus said, picking up a picture of my sister and me.
"That is Kiara Armstrong. My sister." I said, barely getting my words out.
"Where is she now? I haven't seen her anywhere," Titus said. "I don't think I ever met her."
I took a deep breath. "Kiara died a few years ago."
"Aurora, I'm so sorry." Tius hugged me, and I embraced him.
"It's okay. I haven't spoken about Kiara in years, but I think I'm ready. It was about 12 years ago, 2010. I was 6, and my sister was 16. I adored her so much; she was my best friend. Our house was near a forest, and my sister and I loved to play hide and seek there. One day, I decided to count while she went to hide.
(Flashback)
"3...2...1... Ready or not, here I come!!" I giggled as I ran into the forest. As I walked through the woods, I remember it being quiet. My sister would usually give me clues to find her. I didn't think much of it, so I carried on through the forest trying to find her, and after a few steps, I found her. "Kiara? I found you!!"
"A-Aurora! Don't come any closer." Kiara yelled as I saw a giant black wolf. When I found her, she was standing there, frozen in place. When my sister spoke, her voice shook. She was so scared that I realized something was standing in her path. I remember looking into my sister's eyes; all I could see was fear. She was trying to stay calm for me. "AURORA!!!!! RUN!!!"
The figure turned to face me. His whole body was more prominent than a regular wolf, and I stood there, staring into the wolf's eyes. His teeth were huge, more prominent than a normal wolf.
(Flashback End)
"I was only 6, but I remember every detail about that wolf. It was like staring death in the eyes. The wolf let out a loud growl, and I never saw my sister again. My parents wouldn't even let me see her. They kept telling me that she never looked the same. I never got to say goodbye, Titus. From that day, I still couldn't believe what I saw—a wolf as big as a horse or even more extensive than that. I do remember the scratch across its eye. I went to many shrinks, but they all told me it looked big because I'm a small girl, but I called bullshit on that. I know what I saw. Ever since my last therapy session, I vowed to never talk about it ever again, until now. But it's stupid, wolves bigger than f*****g horses." I said to Titus.
"Babe, it's not stupid. I believe you." Titus smiled as he took my hand.
"Really?! You do?!" I said in disbelief. "You would be the first."
Titus smiled. "Thank you for trusting me with this, Aurora."
"Of course, something about you makes me feel safe," I admitted, making Titus kiss me.
"Kids! Dinner's ready!!" My mother called out to us.
"We better get down there," I said.
"You go; first, I'll be down there soon," Titus said.
(Titus's POV)
"Jamie, you know who that wolf was, don't you?" I said to my wolf.
"Hell yeah. f*****g Gabrial, the Leader of the Rogues Wolves." Jamie growled.
"The wolf from when we were little. I said to my wolf. I can't believe that young girl in the forest was Aurora. She was the most beautiful girl back then and still is the most beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes on. She didn't deserve to see that happen to her sister."
"Luckily, we were there to save her, but she doesn't remember. We will put our lives on the line for her. And we would do it again in a heartbeat. I can't believe that girl in the woods turned out to be my mate. I love her, Jamie, and I will do anything to protect her. Aurora means everything to me, and I will do whatever it takes to kill that son of a bitch." I said.
I will protect Aurora, even if it kills me.
