CHAPTER FOUR

1007 Words
"Yes, the Ronald Grey that everyone knows. So no more talks on this. You should get going because his daughter can't stay any minute longer here. I wonder how you bewitched his daughter to stay with you." Madam Gianne said. She had to report to this to Olivia. This girl is never good for Ronald. "Goodbye." Miah said and walked out, Evelyn trailing at her back. She got to the room, only to find her bags packed and the guards waiting for her with Aurora, smiling as usual. "He paid you to pack my bags too, right?." "Have you seen anything that money can't actually deal with?." "Evelyn, I expected you to be my friend. I thought you were one!. I never knew that all along you were just.... I took you in as my friend!." "I still am and that's why I want you out of here. That's why I am doing this. I am supporting you. You just don't know it yet." Miah walked up to Aurora and scooped her up."Let's get out of here. I don't want to be here either." A push at Evelyn, she walked away. "Has she gone?." Evelyn tapped the earpods in her ears. "Yes, Boss. She just left now. I will start the necessary as soon as I can." She is out for all she cares. _ "Good day, I am Timmy Wales. Nice to meet you." He gave a smile. "I am Miah Tells. It's nice to meet you." At least he still had sane people around him. "He will be downstairs shortly. He loves taking his time for nothing most times. For the main time, Aurora can take you round or would you allow me?." Aurora folded her arms before then. "No, let me take you around, Mama. He would bombard you with lots of stories instead." She giggled. Miah laughed at the expression they both exchanged at each other. This was sure that this house was only kept alive by this two. "Thank you, Sir Tim." She smiled back. "You don't have to put the "Sir". Tim would be fine." "I will remember that." Aurora took her by hands and they went to her room. Miah couldn't tell how many times she had left her mouth open at what she saw in this little girl's room. This was a whole paradise itself. From the way her oval shaped bed was, to the pinky decorated bookshelf at the side of a large mirror to her collection of little bridal dresses of different colors which most were pink in colour, Miah was sure he had spent a fortune to ensure his daughter was well taken care of. "Do you like my room?. I drew this myself and Dad made it the exact same way I wanted it to!." Miah smiled as she could hear the excitement in her voice. Her eyes beamed with a pure kind of joy that a child would have towards a father. Then why had he always had this stifling aura around him though? "You drew your room the way you wanted it?. That's incredible. Do you have any other drawings again?." Aurora nodded and trotted off to her bookshelf. They looked into it for what seemed like an hour. A yawn from her, she laid Miah sleepily. "Mama, don't leave me alone, okay?. I will do everything you want me to do for you. Don't leave I and Dad alone. Dad is just that way because he is angry. He isn't that way. I am telling the truth." Miah wrapped her arms around her. Why does she feel this protective instinct in her?. Was it because.... 18 YEARS AGO.... "You and I know how desperately I need an heir for this, why would you bring in a daughter and expect me to accept her?." Mr Tells asked. "Can you hear yourself speak?. Miah is your daughter. She is six today, do you even care?. Here you are, telling me this crap and so what?. Did you really get married to me or your mother?. Miah is our child. She belongs to us and there is nothing no one can do to that not even your sick mother?!." Mr Tells rushed to her direction and pinned her to the ground. "How dare you talk about my mother that way?. It's either you birth an heir or you leave this place at once!. I don't want to ever see that girl in this place!. She doesn't belong here!. She doesn't!." Miah trembled where she was. The rumours were indeed true. The rumours were true!. She shouldn't have been born. She should have never been born. "Get your hands off my mother!. Get your hands off her!." Miah screamed as she tried to push her father but was shoved off and she hit her head against the iron pillar in their house instead. Blood gushed out of her head as she watched her father leave and her mother, crying profusely. MODERN DAY.... "I won't leave. You will be fine. I will stay here with you and your dad." She said, softly as her breath evened out. Few minutes after, she walked out of Aurora's room to the living room. There was Ronald on his laptop with his files and some people before him. "I saw you were with Aurora and didn't want to disturb you two, " He laid his laptop aside. "Here is Nina, our chef. She is in charge of the kitchen here. Here is Alex, my personal bodyguard. Dan, my personal driver and Nola, the one who cleans the house. Everyone of them is obligated to serve you from now on. You all are dismissed." They left and Miah kept staring at her toes. Why does all these feel so new at her? "I guess you have something to say that's why you are here, right?." She jerked from her thoughts and looked up. She should have remembered that she was still with this jerk here. A jerk or just a proud human?.
