Out of Control

It's almost summer break! I can't wait 'til school's over, no more homework and no more studying. You'd think I'd be excited hanging out with my friends, riding bikes along the streets and all those other stuff but all I've been really excited about is to log in. I've been waiting for so many months just to spend my whole day and months just playing the game I loved without being interrupted by anything like homework and exams. Now I get to sit there and not be bothered by anything and finally I might reach the top-level everyone's been fighting for. I don't have any friends from school and that's fine, I got friends from all around the world that I just met through the screen. It's fine if I don't meet them, All I really want is to play and to beat the game. I start out my day by looking at my calendar, I cross out today's date because still nothing changes. He hasn't come back yet. I took a shower and fixed myself up, went down then grabbed my cereal and took the milk out of the fridge, grabbed a bowl and put my cereal in then pour my milk.  Mom isn't awake yet as usual so this is usually my breakfast. I was about to finish when I hear a door open, it's from my mom's room. 7:50 right on schedule, She's probably awake by now. I heard footsteps rushing down the stairs. My mom grabbed my head and kissed my forehead "Hi honey! Sorry, I woke up late. Let me cook you breakfast!" I declined "No need mom, I'm about to finish anyways"  I responded with a blank expression on my face as usual. "Oh, ok honey... Take care! Have a great day at school... " She tried saying it more joyful but it wasn't enough to hide the anxious look in her eyes. I didn't say a word to her when I left. I rode the school bus and arrived at school. I know it was our last day of school, Everyone was tearing up but I didn't drop a single tear nor did I care. I just want this day to be over already, If I didn't have an award I would've stayed at home. "For best in... We call up here on stage... Tony Halbert!" My teacher announced. Oh God let's just get this over with. I went up on stage and took my award immediately then went back down. There's no need for pictures 'cause I don't need one. Since that was the last award given, the dull ceremony's finally over. Everyone stayed a little longer crying their hearts out hugging each other tightly while I immediately left and couldn't care less. - 10:00 am -  I went home walking since there weren't any buses nearby. As I thought I could finally peacefully get home and play my game, a girl that I've never met before is shouting behind me calling my name expecting me to stop or even lower my pace so that she could catch up. She eventually did but that didn't stop me from walking so I just ignored her. "Hey! Tony! wait up!" The girl yelled. "What do you want?? I don't even know you so back off" I replied to her as mean as I could possibly be expecting to get rid of her and stay away. "Hey, why so mean? We're in the same class that's why I know you, duh" She annoyingly answered. Oh God, she can't get the message, can't she? Good thing my house was just one block away. I could finally get rid of her. I walked faster so I could finally get home, she continued talking while I ignore her even more. I got to my house then finally her annoying voice disappeared. I went in and got some food from the fridge then rushed to my room. Dropped my bag on the floor then went straight to sitting in front of my pc then opened it. TIME TO KICK SOME BUTTS! I said as I logged into the game. As usual, everyone was there already.  "Guys, hurry up! the portal's closing! let's just level up on the next realm!" I shouted through my mic to inform everybody. I may not talk a lot in real life but that doesn't mean it applies to everywhere I'm in. Games like these are just an exception. After gathering all that we got from the first world, we were ready to hop onto the other. We made it! although this time, I get grouped to a new one.  I got to a place where we met up with my new teammates but they kicked me out as soon as I arrived. Before I got removed, I got enough time to say one last message to them. "I guess you don't want an expert to help you. Just wait. I bet you'll be the first to lose" Then I went solo from there. Apparently, all the groups were full and I got nowhere else to go.  As soon as we got to the new place, a notification lit up my screen. "Well, well look which group died first heh" I laughed and smirked at my screen. I managed to stay alive throughout the whole game. And then at the end, I leveled up while I see another world form before my very eyes, Only a few made it including me. I guess I've been playing so long that I never realized how far I made it to. It seemed weird the first time I saw it. It looked darker and it started glitching more. Before I went into the new world, I decided to research more about this new update. *started typing "New world update for Out of Control"* *pressed enter* Apparently, it isn't a new update. It's been here longer than I have. "Wow, how old is this game?" I wondered and decided to search for it. *started typing "How long has the game Out of Control been around?"* I got surprised that it was the same day that my dad left us and the same year as well. I didn't think much of it, I just thought it was just a weird coincidence. I began to get more interested in this article because it has been rumored that a million said to be players disappeared after reaching this world. But the maker of this game said in this article is that  "It's just the other game companies trying to bring down our success" He said while ending the interview. I searched for the owner/maker of this game and he's the owner of the entire company. I tried getting more information about him but nothing showed up except that his first game which is also "Out of Control". I scrolled down to at least get more information. It is said here that he has only shown up starting the day the game was released and ever since the game was released, it boomed in popularity ever since, and while no one had a clue that the game was coming nor did they know that they wanted it.  Everything happened on the same day. I started to think of many possible theories that could connect the company owner and the game 'causing countless disappearances over the years. But another thought came into my mind and thought  "What if somehow my dad was connected to all these" I thought and somehow saw that it made sense. I never knew him, my mom doesn't know him that much either. He never had at least one picture with my mom or me. I added it to my notebook hoping it'll help me find answers with the game and my dad. But I still believe that my dad could never do something like that. I looked for every article I could find about the company and the game. I went over it all night and I think I got almost everything I needed. I just really have to know why, I know my mom won't like this but I had to. I need to get answers! "The truth has always been locked away, sooner or later the culprit will pay"
