Chapter 49: The birth of the strongest party

Formed with five members our party was completed. Akane is the swordsman, Haru is the marksman, Maple is the tank, Sister Lily is the support mage, and lastly, myself is the mage.
After eating lunch, we decided to go visit the guild of Sunnyshore city to officially get the quest. It’s an SS-rank quest that can only found in this city. On the southern Island, there was a dictator named “King”. The quest is about defeating the dictator and free to people from s*****y.
The quest is straightforward and simple.
This being an SS-rank quest makes me feel excited a bit. I’ve been stuck with my level for a while now. If I defeat that “King” I might gain lots of experience and level up.
Leveling up is very important to me because if I didn’t level up higher I might not defeat the demon king or the demon king commanders.
I think that applies to all of us adventurers. Leveling up is important because only in leveling we gain skill points.
Leveling magic is very unnecessary. If a user uses its magic often the magic can level up on its own.
Normally people in this world are learning magic by another teaching on them and other acquiring abilities and skills in a certain event. The case is different from the people that came from another world. We have an assistant that assists us with our needs. It’s the window that shows up every time I wanted to learn a skill or check my status. For us who came from another world, this world is basically like a game where we can also die.
Akane, Sister Lily, and Maple. Got their skills and abilities in a normal way.
Haru and I basically have the advantage because we’re from another world.
I feel like I’m a cheater at this rate.
We arrive at the guild and we directly go to the quest board to get the quest poster. Akane then hands it over to the lady receptionist.
“We’re going to take this quest.”
Akane confidently said.
The receptionist lady was shocked because this is the first time someone gets the SS-rank quest in the guild. She turned her gaze toward us and then look back at the poster. In her face there was doubt.
“A-Are you sure on taking this quest? This is an SS-ran quest you know.”
“Don’t worry about it, we might not look like it but we’re all adventurers in level 200. With the five of us, we will kick that “King’s” butt.”
“Level 200! All of you… level 200… I can’t believe youngsters these days are this powerful and talented. A swordsman, a marksman, a tank, a healer, and an elf mage… Your party so balances. This the first time I face a party at this level. I thought only people living in the “Sakura continent” are in this level.”
Sakura continent? This is the first time I’m hearing this. It appears like there are many continents besides the Grandellia continent in this world.
I better remember it, I think I somehow want to know about it.
The receptionist lady then gets a form and passes it to Akane.
“Here fill-up the form and sign it.”
“What is this form for?”
I asked the lady.
“It’s a form about we had no responsibility on what will happen in all of you. If you all die in that quest, we won’t care… It’s an SS-rank quest. Almost all of the adventurers that take those kinds of quest die or lost something in the middle of the quest… This is like a consent form.”
Well, of course, no one will take responsibility for ourselves but ourselves.
As an adventurer, it’s normal to rick our lives in this dangerous quest. But this quest having a consent form, make me feel how dangerous this quest was.
I’m having a little anxiety and I look down to the ground.
I lost Kaede last time, what if these people beside me die next. I don’t know if I can still take it. I might lose my mind and get broken.
Akane put her hands to my shoulder and then smiled.
“Don’t worry Mayu, let’s do this together. We will clear this quest, level up, and defeat that fire dragon Drag.”
“You’re right.”
I think I need to be more optimistic like Akane. Akane is really cool in times like this. Her thinking process is fast and she can make plans while in the middle of the fight. That’s why I lost to her before in the battle royal event.
Good thing she is my ally now.
While signing the form we didn’t fill out the party name.
We didn’t have a name for our party yet.
I turn my glance to Sister Lily and Akane.
“Do you have something in your mind?”
“Nothing is coming.”
“Same here.”
Haru then makes a smile and said:
“Then our party name is Super Ultra galactic dark dragon master Alliance.”
“No way!”
All of us yelled to him.
“We can’t put such eighth grader-ish names as our party member… Receptionist lady can we just think about it later.”
“Well, the guild needs that to register your party. It’s definitely important.”
I guess, we have no choice but to think about the name of our party for a while. The day is still long. We go out of the guild to have a walk and think about it.
What kind of name we’re having for our party? Why it’s so important in the first place?
“We’re about to tackle an SS-class quest… We should start using our best equipment.”
Haru said.
He has a point, but this is currently my strongest equipment.
I wonder about the others.
“I want to have armors but it will be too heavy. All I can take is two of my swords. That’s my limit, I’m having Mayu t have my other swords and equipment in her inventory.”
Akane said and presented her sword to Haru.
“Then, what are you going to do when Mayu is not around? Are you going to use only your two swords?”
“I have no choice, I’m used to just using two swords… Dual wielding is my special ability after all.”

For example, If I use my fire magic. My ability will increase its power, then that power increase because of and . That magic will be multiplied by my . After that, Using special equipment that can multiply magic. My magic will be multiplied again.
That’s going to be damn scary magic. I mean, I’m afraid that I can do such a thing with my skills and abilities.
I’m starting to be scared of myself.
“Support magic can’t be multiplied with equipment. My healing is really powerful enough. This sister robe is made of spider queen's silk. Even chaos magic can’t break it. I’m already fine with my clothes.”
“... M-Me too… My equipment is made from the best shield maker in the kingdom. Nothing breaks my defense since I became an adventurer.”
Haru then gets some material from his inventory and started making something. Haru then created a present for me and Akane.

Akane is really satisfied o what she got from Haru.
Haru then handed over to me staff that’s a bit bigger than me.
“I called that Holy staff… That big blue gen is a magic stone that can multiply you’re magic… Since we are in the sea, I think you can try and use it. I also want to see how powerful you are Mayu.”
Haru said.
Sister Lily seems to be curious and looks at me steadily. Akane and Maple did the same.
I also wanted to know how powerful my theory was. I then face toward the south. According to Guild master Volkner. This is the direction toward the Southern Island.
I hope I won’t kill someone accidentally.
I step forward near the shore and then lift my staff and pointed it to the south.
This is my most powerful fire magic.
“Southern Island take this… Fire magic: Prominence force!”
On the tip of my staff firepower was collected. The fire became a big ball of flame and the people on the beach started running away after seeing me cast magic.
The seawater started to evaporate a little.

Maple said as she pats Akane’s head.

“Since, Mayu is the strongest and has the most memorable feature in her body as an elf. I think our party will be named after her.”
Sister Lily proposed an idea to us.
“... That’s new, I thought you want the party name after you.”
“Shut up Maple!… Ahem… Since Maple is called the Ashen wizard saint. Our party will be called Ashen Knights. It sounds cool right.”
“Ashen knights huh? I think I’m okay with it. Knight is like referring to a man. I was happy that you didn’t think something girly”
“Knight is a swordsman like me, of course, I like it.”
“Well, kingdom knights are not limited in swordsman. Knights are the ones who protect the kingdom. It can be anything honestly… Then, starting now our name is Ashen knights.”
After deciding the name of our party, we go back to the guild and finish the form.
Ashen Knights. Sounds really cool.
We take the SS-class quest and we’re about to go to the southern island with a boat given by the guild master Volkner.
The battle will start.
