Chapter 36: Wind magic training

It’s so warm and comfortable. I can’t even feel the chill of the cold morning. I then open my eyes and realized that I’m embraced by Akane’s arms.
She’s hugging me like a body pillow and her face press down to my own.

Looking up close I realize that Akane despite being so cool and powerful. She has a very cute face.
Akane opens her eyes and quickly pushes me away from her. Resulting in me yo fall down from the bed.
“I-It’s not what it looks like!”
Akane said with a blushing red face.
“What is it?”
I rub my head and feel a little bump on it.
“I’m very sorry.”
“It’s fine I can use my magic to heal it. Then why Akane is hugging me?”
“When I was a kid, I always have this giant stuffed toy and can’t sleep without it before. I already get over it, but yesterday. I find out that you and that stuffed toy are the same sizes. I tried to embrace you. In that instance, I felt the bliss feeling through my body/ Equal to that stuffed toy I have before. Either way, it’s a very wonderful feeling. Before I knew it, I fell asleep hugging you.”
Akane is the kind of girl that can’t sleep without her stuff toy before.

After explaining everything to me.

“Never mind you can meet me at the house near the hill. That is my house and I’m making swords there. I still have something to do just come over when you feel like it.”
Lucas said and then walked away.
Akane turns her gaze to Lucas.
“What’s wrong with him?”
“I’m very sorry for his attitude, but that man just faces any trouble in his life. He became like that. Mayu let me introduce this man to you. This man is the guardian of this town and is a master of wind magic. His name is Gale.”
A man with a ninja-like outfit walked to me and greet me.
“Nice to meet you. Many people said that you can use powerful magic. I’m looking forward to seeing that.”
“Nice to meet you too. I’m also looking forward to working with you.”
I replied.
After that, Akane and I separated our paths and then go to our own business.
Gale brings me to the wide empty grassy plain.
The wind feels nice and the scenery is making you feel relaxed. The weather is also perfect.
I wanted to have a picnic in this place.
“Let’s go and start our training. First, show me your most powerful wind magic.”
I then get my wand.
“Wind magic: Towering tornado!”
A green magic circle appeared in the ground and from its center powerful tornado emerges.
After few moments the tornado faded and Gale looks at it.
“That’s powerful but I can feel that you have no control over it. The powerful the magic the less control you will have on it. That tornado is too big for you to control, but with proper training, you can control big magic like that eventually. Let's start controlling magic with solidifying.”
I was confused about what he said.
Gale then gets a branch of the tree.
“This is magic solidifying…”
From the stick, a blade suddenly appeared. To be exact, it’s a blade made from the wind.
“... With proper control of magic you can make almost anything from magic. I made a sword from my wind. It’s really cool right?”
“It’s so cool, it’s like an instant weapon.”
“That’s right, it’s very handy in a situation when you lost your weapon.”
I am sure that I have seen this technique before.
As I try to remember it. I remember Eriko use the same technique with her blood manipulation magic and her flame magic. She created a bow and arrow with those magic before.
That’s magic solidifying.
I then try it.
From my wand, I try to replicate Gale, but I failed.
“I failed… Controlling magic is pretty tough.”
“Don’t lose it, I know you can do it. You’re just giving too much magic. Just use the right amount of magic and imagine a blade. Magic solidifying is easier in water and Ice magic. Wind and fire are pretty hard because of their odd shape. Meanwhile, earth magic is already solid.”
That’s true wind and fire really have a shaky shape that is very hard to maintain.
I try and try again.
There is a time my magic was too small and there is a time my magic was too big. I can’t even make a blade shape.
It’s been hours of training and Gale is currently eating rice balls under the tree.
“Are you hungry Mayu? Want some rice ball?”
“I’m eating later, not until I make one decent blade from my wind.”
I replied.
I go back in training and it put me many hours of trial and error until I get that solidifying method.
In my hand, I created a wind blade using my wind magic.
“Wind s***h!”
I cast my magic and it works perfectly on it.
Behind me, I heard a clapping sound and there. Gale stood up from the ground with a contented expression.
“You made it Mayu, I never think a person is able to do it in few hours. It takes me six months of training until I manage to do that small blade you created. You are a genius.”
I’m delighted to his compliment and it makes me flutter in joy. Well, being called a genius is really a feeling I should be proud of.
“It’s still not perfect like that blade of yours…”
“Since you can do solidifying now… You might unlock the armament. Armament is about covering your body in magic. It can be any attribute of magic and made an armor-like suit from it. It needs a huge amount of magic to use it and to maintain it.”
Gale said.
Well, honesty my body is already covered with magic because of the transformation magic to hide my elf appearance.
“Then can I ask why you wanted to become stronger?”
“I got this ticket its a ticket to join the heroes expedition in world tree island. I wanted to be stronger and helpful with them.”
“That’s great, you manage to get that ticket. That means your very strong adventurer. Well, the heroes are still in their training to join the front lines they need to go and level themselves up to defeat the demon lord commanders.”
“Does that mean there all still weak?”
“I can’t say that because each of them is blessed with unique abilities and skills, but they need to grow. The heroes will be divided into 5 groups and each group will train in the Powerful magic zone to gain experience fast. One of the powerful magic zones is the world tree island and it’s lived by many powerful and high leveled monsters.”
“Then that’s dangerous…”
“It’s dangerous but if they didn’t make it alive. Then, they are not worthy of being a hero.”
Gale said.
He is right, demon lord commanders are really strong beings. Maybe stronger than any monster. Then there is the demon king. Eriko is really powerful I wonder how powerful the demon king is.
“They said this place is attacked by the demon lord commander but when we go to the tower we didn’t meet him. I wonder how powerful it was.”
“The demon lord commander that attacks this place is the demon commander named Kuro. Too bad, I didn’t meet him I still have a score to settle with him.”
Gale said and smiled.
Looks like he knows that demon lord commander.
Gale then throws a rice ball into my hand, I barely caught it and make a sigh.
I open the rice ball and take a bite.
“It’s spicy! It’s like wasabi flavor I hate it!”
I scream.
“Hahahahahaha…”
Gale laughs after seeing my expression.
I get a bottle of water and drink to wash away the spicy feeling in my throat.
After that, I go back to my training in mastering the magic solidifying.
