Chapter 35: Forestia town

We didn’t stay for so long in Grandellia city and decided to have the adventure to find the magic sword for Akane.
We decided to walk our path because there is no available transportation to the town we’re about to visit.
While walking I averted my eye’s on Akane and asked.
“Do you really need another magic sword? I think you’re already strong enough in those two swords.”
“I’m quite confident with my swordsmanship and I know I have the abilities. But still, I wanted to become stronger…”
Akane then gets her two swords and explain how it works.
“... This red sword is called the heavy sword. This magic sword has the ability to make itself lighter or heavier. It depends on what the user wants it to be. This blue sword is the gravity sword. It can manipulate gravity. This is the reason I’m able to fly and move at high speed in the air. I’m basically changing my center of gravity.”
“I get it, that’s why my unique skill plunderer didn’t work on you. It’s the sword who’s making the magic, not the adventurer.”
“You’re quite lucky you can use magic and have unique skills. It said only a special adventurer can acquire. That means you're really amazing. Expected from my rival.”
She said and give’s me a thumbs up.
“Instead of being a rival let's just became friends. I don’t like having a competition. We just met the other day but I feel like we can become nice friends.”
I then offer a handshake.
Akane’s tears started flowing.
“Why are you crying?!”
She then whips out her tears and her face is blushing a bit.
“I’m just happy that I have a new friend besides Liya… Let’s became friends instead. I promise to be there with you in tough times.”
“Akane that’s cheesy… But that’s right we’re now officially friends.
Akane then shakes my hand sealing our friendship.
We then take a break from walking and sit down on a huge rock under a big tree. I then get some lunchbox from my inventory and give Akane her share.
Akane look at my inventory skill and said:
“That skill is really convenient. You don’t need to bring a bag anymore. I wish I have that skill so that I can bring many swords with me. I can only bring two to three swords in maximum.”
“Then I can store some of your swords if you wanted.”
“Really? That’s nice then store this red sword for me.”
She handed over her red sword and I put it on my inventory. This world works like a video game for me, but for people living here like Akane is quite different.
First, they don’t acquire skills as I do. If I wanted a skill this machine-like voice in my head will tell me how many skill points I need to get that. Making things easier for me.
Normal people in this world gain their skills and abilities through hard work and effort.
I feel like I’m such a cheater for acquiring this many skills in a short time.
“What kind of town we’re heading to?”
“It’s a town called Forestia. It looks like a literal forest but with a small village inside. There was a great swords smith there and an expert in making magic weapons. I was thinking of meeting him and get that magic weapon I wanted.”
Visiting an unknown town feels like I’m having a tour.
When I was a kid I have this dream of touring the world. I can’t full fill it anymore on earth. But in this world maybe I can do it.
After a few hours of walking. We finally reach the town of Forestia.
Just like how Akane describes it the town looks so cool and green. The houses are located in the big trees and hanging bridge are everywhere.
I then take a deep breath and exhale.
“The air here is really nice.”
“There is barely pollution here. Also, most of the people here are wind magic-user.”
Akane said and look around.
Wind magic-user… Then maybe there is a teacher here that can teach me some advanced wind magic techniques.
I started to be excited and have something to look forward to in this adventure.
“Well, it’s weird where are the people here?”
I started wandering around and we can’t see any people around.
“You’re right, something is wrong here.”
Akane then put her hand to her sword.
After few moments, A group of Eight bandits appeared.
“Two girls came to our nest! Capture them!”
“Just two girls this will be easy.”
They said and carelessly run toward us.
I’m pulling my magic wand and use my ice magic to freeze them in ice. Akane then uses her sword to defeat the remaining others. The bandits were easily defeated.
Akane then walked to them and grabbed one of the bandit's collar.
“Hey! Where are the people in this town?”
“We’re not one of them… We’re just mountain bandits. After we got the news that one of the demon lord commander attack this town. We decided to came here to steal some treasures.”
“I see you’re an evil person.”
“Spare my life! I wanted to get married.”
“No one is going to marry an ugly evil person like you. Now tell me where are the people here?”
“The demon lord commander is planning to use their life a ritual on summoning something dangerous. They go to that abandoned tower in the far north of this town. That’s all we know please spare us.”
“Sorry but I don’t have a heart for an evil person.”
Akane said in a terrifying expression. She then uses her sword to knock down the bandits and tie them down using some forest vines.
She then asked me to use earth magic to make a temporary prison for the bandits.
Akane is like a police officer.
We then proceed to the abandoned tower in the far north.
It’s a demon lord commander then that thing must be powerful. Maybe more powerful like Eriko. If that demon lord commander over there is Eriko then I might go on a rampage.
I really want to defeat her so badly.
Akane notice my worried expression and stopped walking.
“Are you okay?”
“Well… I’m just thinking about how powerful is that demon lord commander.”
“Don’t worry, have confidence in you’re abilities. I know e can save them all. We can call for the reinforcements, the ritual might be starting. We need to save them will all we got.”
Her words lifted my spirits and make me keep moving.
“Yep, I will do my best too.”
“That’s my friend… Then let’s go.”
Akane uses her gravity sword and fly. I then use wind magic to fly beside her so that we can reach the abandoned tower quickly.
“Let's us go up in the sky Mayu.”
“Why?”
“Because heroes always save people from the sky.”
I then join her hero story and fly up in the sky. We then saw the abandoned tower and dive with a powerful impact.
The wall of the abandoned tower was destroyed.
“Ouch! Ouch… I won’t do that again.”
I said and rub my hands to my head.
“Good thing I have a tough head.”
Akane stood up and whip the dust in her clothes.
A little girl then saw us saying.
“Mommy! People came to save us.”
“It’s an adventurer! We’re saved.”
People lock up in this huge cage must be the citizen of Forestia.
It seems like there were no people in the area and we decided to open the cage.
While we are busy helping the people.
Demon minions appeared.
“Adventurers came to infiltrate the tower!”
“All of you go and attack them!”
A large group of demons came to attack us.
“Gravity sword: Gravity force!”
“Water magic: Water blast!”
The demons were defeated on that floor and got washed down with my water magic.
I guess we need to defeat all the demons first.
“Everyone stay here we’re going to came back later after we defeated the boss.”
I said.
“The demon lord commander is not at the top of this tower anymore. He left the work to his right hand. Still, that demon is powerful and can use powerful poison magic.”
The elder said.
“Don’t worry we will save everyone from that demon.”
Akane said and I nodded in agreement.
We then go to the next floor and whip out the demons who will go in our way.
These demon lord minions are all very weak compare to both of us.
We then arrived at the tip of the tower.
In front, of us, a snake-like demon appeared before our eye’s on his hand. Some people were eaten.
Akane was stunned after seeing how many people die and got eaten already.
“Two young girls for my lunch.”
The snake demon said.
“We’re not here to become your lunch. What you’ve done is unforgivable.”
“Big talk for a little girl like you… Poison magic: Poison smug!”
Purple color smoke was then released from his hand. The poison smoke then covered the whole room.
“You both don’t have the power to defeat me.”
I use my magic and basted the ceiling with fire. Then I followed it by using wind magic and make a tornado.
The poison smoke was faded.
“What is this? I have never seen such powerful wind magic-user.”
The snake demon said.
“Sorry! But I will deliver your punishment.”
Akane then gets her red sword from me and then lifts it to the top of her head.
With a red eye’s Akane swung her sword at the snake demon.
“Heavy metal: 10,000-ton impact!”
The snake demon was buried to the ground because of the powerful impact from the red sword. The demon then dies and burns.
After the battle, we get back to the people and saved them we all go back to the town of Forestia and started a small celebration.
The leader of the town then offers a feast to us who saved them.
“Cheers for the heroes that save our lives!”
“Cheers!”
Everyone started eating and having fun.
The elder walked to us.
“Then why both of you came to visit this own?”
Asked the elder.
“We came here o find the magic swordsmith. I wanted to buy a magic sword from him. I heard that the magic sword sold here is of high quality.”
Akane replied.
“Well, that true the magic weapon sold in Forestia is very good. You can visit the smith tomorrow. He is very tired and always locks himself in his house. The demon didn’t even notice him.”
Does that mean that smith is in this town earlier? Wait? His not with these people we saved.
“Well, There’s a rumor that he's a shut-in... I guess it’s true.”
“Mister, I heard this town has many wind users. I wanted to train her and learn some advanced wind technique is there someone who can help me.”
I said.
“Of course we have the skill wind user here. Unfortunately, he is not in this town. He is the guardian of our town and he might be coming back tomorrow.”
“Then, I will wait for him.”
I replied.
We then enjoy the feast and decided to say for a night.
Tomorrow will be a busy day.
