“We’re here. The Grandellia city, the city of adventurers.”
Akane said.
I then look out the window and got amazed at how big this city can be.
The train stopped and we get ourselves down.
“This place looks like a metropolis. The building is so huge. What’s with that flying fish over there.”
I said with glimmering eyes as I look around in the city.
Akane then put on eyeglasses.
“What’s with those glasses, do you have bad eyes?”
“No, I’m just popular as an adventurer. I need to disguise… Now that we’re here we better go to adventurer guild and eat. This guild offers one of the best dishes in the whole country… It’s a must-try.”
Akane pulls my hand and drags me to the adventurer guild.
Arriving in the guild. I was surprised and happy seeing how big the adventurer guild was. The guild has a big hall inside and there are many adventurers inside. This place is like a five-star hotel.
Adventurers guild: Bright star.
It’s the name of the guild.
“Akane!”
Someone call Akane and we turn our glance in that direction.
It’s a young lady with glasses. She looks smart and very cute.
“Welcome home Akane.”
“Liya… It’s been a while.”
Akane and the girl named Liya hugged each other.
Welcome home she said. Does that mean Akane is originally from this city?
“I’m home!!!”
“How was your journey? I was so worried. I’m so glad you're alright.”
Liya said and cry on Akane’s shoulders.
“Geez… It was no big deal! By the way, I got a rival, this girl with me is Mayu and she is chosen to take part of heroes expedition in World tree Island.”
“Oh my… You might be really strong. Akane made a new friend! I’m so happy!”
“Stop cry over something like that.”
“I’m always worried because you’re such a weird kid no one wants to become your friend.”
Akane and her friend started to have good chat.
I then decided to walk around the big guild.
Then suddenly in the middle of the hall. A giant hologram of a statue appeared.
It’s a statue of a beautiful woman. She looks like a goddess.
“Huh…”
“That’s the creator.”
“The creator…”
It’s the creator that gives magical power to the first hero to defeat the evil elf a long time ago... It said that an elf tries to destroy this country before and he came to save everyone all by the hero. He is so cool right. That’s why I decided to become a swordsman. Like him, I will destroy evil.”
Akane said.
After hearing that, I kinda realize why Retto tries to attack me before. This city hated elf because of the happening a long time ago.
Thank goodness I can use transformation magic and hide the fact that I’m an elf.
“It’s said that the creator was still alive and the one who finds her will have his wishes granted. Well, it’s just a fairy tale told to kids in this city.”

If Akane finds out that I’m an elf. I wonder what will happen to me?
Still, looking to this giant hologram. Her face started to become familiar to me.
“I think I’ve met her before.”
I muttered.
Akane and Liya were stunned.
Everyone in the guild then laughs.
“Hahahahahahaha!!!”
“So she meets the creator!!”
“What a creator!”
“Hya hahaha!”
“You sure it was 500 years ago, are even alive that that time?”
“What a joke!”
“I’ve met plenty of people who said that they met the first, but it was all big talk.”
“She’s just one of them!”
I really feel embarrassed being the center of laughter.
Still, I totally get what they mean.
Why did I say that? It’s very weird. I just got this sudden feeling of knowing her, but I can't remember really.
I put my hand in my head because it started to ache.
“And here I was wondering what a noise was all about…”
Said the girl wearing such fancy clothes.
Akane immediately turns her glance to the girl.
“If it isn’t the second-rate adventurer Akane.”
“L-Laura.”
Who is this girl? She even calls Akane a second-rate adventurer. If Akane was the second rate. Then, am I third rate? The power scaling in this world is out of this world.
When, I live in a crystal dungeon, and gain lots of skills and abilities. I thought that I’m strong, but exploring the world I started to think that I’m not that strong enough.
The adventurers started to cheer and shout her name.
“Laura is here!”
“It’s the real deal!”
“No way she’s actually in the guild!”
A man walked to her and said:
“I’m your fan please sign this.”
“That will be 100,000 gold.”
That’s expensive!
The man pays her and Laura gives him a sigh on his face. She draws a poop on the poor man’s face without hesitation.
This girl is really evil, why she’s so popular?
She then walked toward Akane and they send each other a sparking glare.
“Akane.”
“What?”
“I heard you travel in several towns and cities to sharpen your skills, but in the end, you never win a town event. I guess you never win because you can’t use magic. Have you ever consider giving up and became a farmer instead.”
“That was unnecessary!”
Akane can’t use magic, then how is she flying in our fight before? Is that the reason why my plunderer skill didn’t affect her? Anyway, this girl seems to be sure of what she’s saying. I can tell that Akane is hurt by just looking at her face.
“Who’s that?”
I asked Akane.
“She’s the super famous adventurer Laura and she’s someone I hate!
“You've mistake Akane. It’s the super famous idol adventurer Laura and there is not a soul in this world who doesn't know my name!”
Laura said confidently.
“No idea, who you are through.”
I said.
She quickly glares at me.
“Anyway, I have to go.”
Laura said and turn her back.
“Hey…”
I said and pull her hand.
“What is it? If you want a handshake give me 50,000 gold.”
“Have a duel with me?”
“Eh? A duel? What is it? Are you serious you want to challenge me?”
“I wanted to test you’re your ability besides Akane defeat me before. I want to know if you are much stronger than her. I’m a bit curious.”
“I don’t know what’s going on in you’re head, but let's have a one-shot magic duel. We’re going to use one magic and the one who hit the opponent first is the winner.”
Akane was worried and pull my sleeves.
“What are you doing? Making a commotion in this guild?”
“It’s going to be fine.”
I said.
Laura and I put ourselves in distance and then draw our magic wand.
“Water magic: Water dragon hydra!”
“Fire magic: Giant Pyro ball!”
A water dragon and a ball of flame crushed to each other. Steam was then seen in the whole guild.
After the steam faded. We’re both seem not damaged.
“No way, you survive that magic. It’s one of the most powerful magic I have.”
“Looks like Akane is much powerful than you.”
I said.
Laura was very angry after hearing my words.
Akane drag me out.
“Cut it out! Let’s go and eat!”
Laura was very angry her grip broke her wand.
“What was that…?! What is that? Akane’s friend… I want her to become my servant.”
Laura said with glimmering eye’s
I didn’t hear what she said because I far away.
Akane then drags me to the restaurant part of the guild. We order our meal and wait at our table.
A cat-like creature then delivers the meal to us.
“It’s here, It’s here! The orange fried chicken here is so good!”
Akane was very happy with the meal, but I’m more curious about the cat-like creature that delivers the food to us.
“What was that?”
“Oh, the Javelin? You’ll see that kitten-like species here often.”
“This world is really vast.”
“Come on, Mayu let’s eat.”
“This is a little different from the guild I used to see. In Elesis fort the guild is more friendly and you know? Like the guild is one big family.”
“Some guild is like this. As my rival, you should know the basics. I guess I have lots to teach you… Well, Liya is nice but… Apart from her, I don’t really know anyone else here. We’re called a guild, but people just came here to find work.”
“That so…”
“Yep! The guild our ticket to starting our adventurers! Were gonna have much fun in here.”
“Our adventure, huh.”
I said and smile.
Well, I really like Akane and I guess we’re now more friends than a rival.
I came here to find Retto, I guess I will go to the receptionist and asked them later. Retto is pretty famous because he is the knight of knights. I think everyone knows him here.
“Do you know a man named Retto?”
“Of course that man is the only peasant that achieves the title knights of knights. Unfortunately, he rushed himself into the crystal dungeon and got caught up in Pleiades attack. He dies just like that. I totally have respect for him. He is the man closest in power to the hero.”
I see, looks like Retto is not in this city. The way Akane speaks it feels like no one knows that Retto is still alive.
“He's alive, he the man I’m looking for. He's my teacher.”
“You're looking for Retto? That’s impossible Retto dies in the Pleiades attack. The whole dungeon is destroyed because of the attack. It’s impossible to survive that.”
“You might not believe me but I survive that attack. I’m also inside that dungeon with Retto.”
Akane stares at my serious eyes. She then pulls my cheeks.
“Ouch!”
“It seems like your not lying… Indeed, his body is never found. Then you came here to see him. Sorry, but there is no news yet about him getting back in this city. If he came back it's huge news. I should know it immediately, because like you... I’m also his student.”
Akane said and showdown her fried chicken.
“Then, what should I do now?”
“The expedition is happening next month, you still have plenty of time. Since you don’t have anything to do let's just go out and have an adventure. It’s just a secret but I have a goal in finding the most powerful sword. Since I can’t use magic I rely on magic swords… And with that magic sword, I will become the strongest swordsman in the world.”
“Then it’s decided let's have an adventure lets go and find that sword you're looking for.”
“How about the hero expedition?”
I said with high spirits.
“Like you said it’s happening next month. I can do that later.”
Akane smiled after hearing my words.
If I adventure enough I might find clues on why I’m here in this world and where is Retto, Kuroe, and Lumina.
“Well, I want to have an adventure too.”
“Now that is settled let's go!”
I stood up with excitement.
“But before we go let's finish eating first.”
Akane and I then continue eating our meal.
After that, we go and travel to the place where the magic sword Akane was looking for resides.
The start of my adventure with Akane begins.
