CHAPTER NINETEEN

Freya POV

As I make my way to my bathroom to wash my face and put on my bathrobe my mate stirs in the bed. "Freya, what are you doing?" He asks. "Craig linked me to meet him in his office, go back to bed darling" I tell him just as he gets up and comes to the bathroom. "Why? Is something wrong?" he asks. I look at my mate and put my hands around his shoulder and push up on my toes to give him a lingering kiss. "As far as I know, he just wants to talk to me-" "Well your not going without me. I don't want you to make that walk alone." he tells me as I shake my head. Goddess I love this man. He leaves me in the bathroom to go into our walk-in closet and comes out in a shirt and joggers. "I'll go make you some coffee, you finish getting dressed." he tells me walking out the door.

I put on a shirt and some leggings and I put my slippers on, and meet my mate in the kitchen to see that he had just finished making my coffee. We walk out the door and straight to the pack house. As we were making our way through the door I got this weird sense of Deja' Vu' and paused in my steps. "Honey are you okay?" my mate asked me. I just Nod my head and we proceeded to Craig's office just as Richard knocks on the door. "Enter" We hear and open the door to see Craig sitting at his desk with a bottle of bourbon next to him and one of the men from the hospital sitting across from him. "Mom, it wasn't necessary for you to bring dad." Craig spoke up. "Did you really think I was going to let your mom walk alone to your office without an escort?" Richard says. I just shake my head. "Okay gentlemen, I am here. That's all that matters. Now son, what was it that you needed that couldn't be spoken over a mindlink?" I ask just as the unknown man from the hospital stands up. "Hello, I am Beta Logan of the Blood Moon Pack and I'm humbly sorry for waking you. But this is very important." He tells me respectfully. But what he tells me, I get the same feeling as just a few minutes ago and I just look at him shaking hands with my mate. "Blood Moon Pack?" I say out loud as a statement but came out more like a question. "Uhm, yes ma'am. I'm the Beta." he tells me when I ask. "Where is your Alpha?" when he looks away from me and I see pain, fear, and determination across his features. "His Alpha is at the hospital, that's what we wanted to talk to you about and get you to tell us the story about 'The Blood and The Moon'..there seems to be a connection between his Alpha and Caroline." Craig tells me.

I'm speechless. The same man who saved my baby from horrible events. "Well, why isn't he here then, if there is some 'BIG' connection between him and my little girl" Richard growls out, when Beta Logan stands up and growls back defending his Alpha. I see much respect in the young man's green eyes.

"Dad, sit down!!" Craig roars in his Alpha voice standing and Richard has no choice but to obey. I look to Craig appalled that he would use his Alpha voice on his father when he sits back down and takes another sip of his bourbon. "Mom, please take a seat and I will explain everything to you." Craig tells me.

As I go to take a seat next to my mate he pulls me into his lap and starts inhaling my neck to calm his wolf, and I relax in his embrace. I look to my son and see he is having an enternal struggle with himself to remain calm. So I straighten my back and speak ever so softly. "What is the urgent matter.?" Looking directly at Craig and Beta Logan.

"Okay, I'm just going to spit everything out." he pauses and takes a deep breath "Logan's Alpha," he says pointing to the Beta. "Is Caroline's mate, and when she died both times, His Alpha felt her die each time. We witnessed together one time. We also believe that when Dr. Mang put Caroline in a coma, it also put Ryker in one as well. So then ... Logan's wolf mentioned a prophecy that all wolves know, but only we would know as the children's story and that something is coming and coming soon. So that's why I asked you to come down here so late so we can get a jump on whatever is happening." He says all in one go. I'm trying to understand everything when Richard speaks up. "So.. you mean to say, that the same Alpha who saved your sister is also her mate? She isn't even eighteen yet. She won't recognize him" he bellows out when I put my hand in his to help calm him down. "Richard, I need you to be quiet darling. We all know she is yet to be eighteen. She will be in a couple days. Besides that didn't stop you from wanting to be near me for a whole month trying to swoon me and keep everyone away." I tell him sternly like a mother would scold her child. He puts his head down in defeat and I look back at Logan to see him mouthing the words 'Thank you' when I take a sip of my coffee.
