CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Caroline POV

"What do you mean Lewey helped him escape?!" I ask shocked, Myia growling in my head. I look to Craig first then my father. Neither of them willing to share that information when my mom speaks up. "Like your father and brother said, Lewey teamed up with that awful Alpha and together they escaped to the southern border. Lewey also cut ties with the pack and we figured out now why he has been irrational the past year and a half".... she pauses. Then continue with a soft low voice. "He killed his mate along with five pack members". She tells me, im in shock. When you kill your other half it kills your soul. Makes you angry and bitter. I can't believe he found his mate. He must have really did kill her. It does all make so much sense now as to why he was angry all the time.

"What pack does Alpha Romero belong too? Because if Lewey helped him escape, he most likely will be joining his pack. We can also inform the Elders and they can send warriors their way to bring Lewey and Romero back for their crimes. " I say loud enough everyone could hear me. I look to my brother and he has a determined expression on his face. "He is Alpha of The Malevolence Pack and I've already informed the Elders yesterday morning. They have yet to get back in touch with me, and your right Lewey most likely has joined his pack but I feel it's more than that." Craig says looking at no one in particular when my stomach immediately goes in knots again.

"We will talk more of this when you are back home. Just focus on getting your strength back right now" my mother chimed in sternly. Leaving no room for argument when Dr. Mang comes back into my room and walks closer to me. I didn't even realize she left when she grabs a blood pressure cuff and places it around my arm. I look to Liz and see she has a faraway look in her eyes. "Sooo... you marked each other?" I ask her when her Cheeks immediately blazed red and she turns to me smiling ear to ear. I'm so happy for her. "He is kind of cute" I giggle out, when she lowly growls out at me and I put both my hands up in surrender. "Oh my Goddess Liz, I was joking. But he is some nice eye candy." I giggle out again. "Mine!" She all but yells in a growl when I couldn't help myself and laugh even louder. My parents giggling out as well. "Everything looks good, and checks out" Dr. Mang says. "So, does this mean I can go home? I'd really like to go home and finish resting there and I also have to pee. "I say pleadingly. "I suppose that will be fine, but no training for at least a week, and I will like you to come back, say Friday for a full examination. You have a catheter in". She tells me and I crunch my face up in discust. "Ewww... Please take it out I would very much like to pee without that in". I say when Dr. Mang giggles at me. "I'll send Mary in to remove the catheter and I will go get your paperwork." She tells me. My parents follow her out and Craig and Sherri follow them leaving me with Liz. I look at her and see that she is mindlinking so I sit here and wait for her to be finished. As I'm waiting I can't help but to think of the events that so quickly followed. I also need to properly thank that Alpha for saving me. "You okay?" Liz asks me with concern on her face. I look at her and just smile. "Uh yeah. All good. ... Uhm do you think your mate will mind if you stay the night with me?" I ask hoping he says she could. "Of course he will be okay with it. He doesn't have a choice. I just got you back. We need a girls night anyway." She tells me while holding my hands. Just then a nurse walks in and over to the sink to wash her hands and dry them. She then puts on gloves and walks to the bed. "I'm going to remove your catheter" She says while I just nodded my head and she lifted the blanket and I turned my head and covered my eyes in embarrassment. "I mean they looked at our lady bits to put it in, why you being so nervous now?" Myia chips in and I roll my eyes at her. "Okay I want you to take a deep breath and when you exhale is when I will pull it out." She tells me when I inhale real big and on my exhale is when I felt a stinging pain, just as quickly it was gone. The nurse holds up a straw like tube and throws it in a bin. "Okay, all set" and walks out the room. Just as she walked out my parents come back in the room with a bag. "I brought you back some clothes from home, figured you would rather wear your clothes than the hospital gown". I just smile at my mom in gratitude and lift the blanket from the bed and move my noodle like legs over and onto the floor. It takes me a moment to get feeling back in my legs before I stand up only to stumble forward, and my mom and Liz catch me. "Sorry" I mumble out when my mom and Liz just shake their head. They help me to the bathroom on the toilet so I can pee and to remove the hospital gown. My mom waits outside while Liz's back is to me and I quickly wipe. She hands me a black sportsbra with a t-shirt and some panties with black shorts. As I'm getting dressed I'm very thankful Liz's back is still to me. I go to stand to finish pulling up my panties and shorts and I'm glad I can stand without assistance. I walk to the sink to wash my hands and dry them and when I turn back around Liz has her arm out for me. So I link my arms with hers and we walk out back to the hospital room and I freeze in my steps. I see a wheelchair next to the bed and my dad holding onto the handles. "I don't need it" I say defiantly when my mom walks to me. "Sweety you haven't walked in a couple days. I don't want you to over exert yourself." She tells me. I go to tell her no when my dad comes over with the wheelchair making 'Vroom Vroom' noises. I laugh at him just shaking my head. "Come on princess, just to the lobby of the hospital." I huff out in annoyance. "Dad, I'm okay. I want to walk. Stretch my legs, if I get tired I will stop and take a break." I tell him when he backs the chair up with a 'Beep Beep' noise and I couldn't help but to laugh at his childness. He stops the chair in front of my mom and starts 'Honking' at her and I grab Liz and start heading for the door.

Guy's I'm so sorry for the late chapter update. Their was an attempted break in at my house, had to replace doorframe and get cameras set up. That took a couple days then I had to take my son to Dr because he had a fever. All is good now. The author note comments section was to small so I had to add it here. So sorry for the wait and will be getting back on track soon.
