Chapter Thirty-Three They arrived at one of the most remote gated entrances to the forest before dawn the next day with a low fog clinging to the ground, the trees and bushes dripping from the night’s moisture, and the song birds greeting the sun as it began to rise. Rebecca and Jim looked at each other, not sure where to begin. He had stayed up all night with Rebecca’s map and concluded it was basically useless. It was on a kind of parchment paper that was brittle and the writing on it, whatever it was, had faded.
