Chapter 3

So it begins. I'm in the plane. I'M IN THE FREAKING PLANE ON MY WAY TO USA. It's a long flight, but luckily for me, I'm a good sleeper and I love to read books. I have a windowseat, and the seat next to me are empty. The last seat in the row are occupied by a middle aged man with grey sprinkles of hair. I turned my attention to my Harry Potter book, and then the hours flew away (you see what I did there). When I landed in Colorado airport, after a very long flight, I immediately got some new energy because of the adventure I was about to start. I found the driver holding a sign up, with my name on it, and said "Hi, I'm Hannah" with a wave. The man nodded his head and asked where I'm from. "I'm from Denmark, and I'm really looking forward to see and experience your lovely country". The taxidriver started to drive and looked in the rearmirror. "It's not safe for you, to travel alone" and then he looked back to the road. I just sat there, a little baffled. Jesus, what a weird guy. "This is not Denmark young one. This is the real world" he continued. I found him very strange. I mean, what can happen in a small, cozy hut in the middle of nowhere? "Will you please stop by a grocery store on the way? I'm not gonna have too many options for shopping when I get there". He nodded his head again, and turned his eyes on me in the rear mirror once again. I jumped in my seat, and then shaked my head and looked out the window. I swear I think i just saw his eyes chance color. It must have been the light. It was mid day and the sun was shining. We drove in the parking lot of a Wallmart, and I jumped out and got surpriced that my weird driver did the same. I looked at him with my right eyebrow raised, and he just smiled "my name is Andy, and I think you might need some help with all the grocerys". I looked closely at him, his eyes where amber. He was about 188 cm. and had brown hair. "Allright, thank you" I smiled and we went in the store. Boy was I glad Andy came along. I needed help with everything. Milk and other dairys has a different name in Denmark. Besides, i bought so much that I couldnt carry, even half of it, myself. There was still a couple of hours drive, to my final destination. I sat back in the carseat, and felt the butterflies in my tummy. I smalltalked a little with Andy, and found that he was married and had 2 kids. Even though he was a little weird, he started to grow on me. Finally we arrived to a scene from a movie. The hut was perfect. It was in a little clearing deep in the woods. The sun came through the trees just like a painting. The bees hummed, and all the forest sounds, was just.. Perfect. I squealed, jumped and clapped my hands.. Then Andy helped me carry my bags and all the stuff i bought, in my new home for the month. I paid him, and when he was about to leave, he turned around handed me a card and said "if you need any help, just give me a call". Then he left. "Damn, he's weird" I shaked my head and started to look around the hut and get settled.
