Chapter 17

560 Words
Leo was following a specific light coming from one of the staff rooms. Leo had moved with O’Neill to their official home. O’Neill was well off and had the means to keep a villa with enough staff to take care of his son day and night. The light had a gray smokey look to it and Leo felt like he was suffocating as he got closer. He didn’t have to be an expert dream walker to understand that whatever the light was leading him to was ill and rotten. The smell emitting from the room he had just entered was horrid and it made him gag. Leo, as a dream walker, could smell dreams. If they had a good smell, he could feast on them, he could feast on bad dreams, but this was more than that. As Leo got closer to the person, he could find out what she was dreaming. In the dream, he could see a woman She was mixing a few ingredients in a seasoning container. The smell emitting from her was rotten and he could not understand what he was seeing. He looked at the table next to her and he locked eyes with someone that was bound. As he locked eyes with the person on the table, he saw himself looking back. Leo jumped with a gasp and the woman looked at him but it seemed like she couldn’t see him. “She is the kitchen leader,” Clarissa said as she held Leo’s hand. “What are you doing here?” He asked. “You don’t know how to use your powers yet, so I came to lend a hand.” “Why is she dreaming of me? Is she a cannibal?” Leo asked with concern. Leo was mature but he was still a boy and the images he had seen were overwhelming and hunting. “No, she is in love with your father, and you, my dear, are an obstacle to her happiness.” “How so?” “Your father could never love anyone more than he loves you.” “He loved you,” Leo answered. “Hmm, so you have been dreaming of walking.” “I tried his dreams, it turns out there was another dream eater eating his dreams.” Leo said, looking into her eyes. “I eat them so he won’t remember them clearly when he wakes up,” Clarissa admitted. Leo didn’t know if he could trust Clarissa, but he remembered seeing how happy his father had looked when Clarissa had walked into his dream. It was then that he decided to learn more about her and her true intentions. If Clarissa and her father knew each other, why did her father ever mention her? “Are you my mother? Leo asked her bluntly. “No Leo, but I am your creator.” She said simply. “I don’t understand.” “You have to find Genesis. She will be able to help you find yourself. Genesis is the only one that can unlock your full potential.” Clarissa said. “Why her?” “What do you know about twin flames?” Clarissa asked. “Twin what?” Leo asked, and with that question he woke up. As he opened his eyes, he was left speechless by the person staring at him.
