-New Beginnings- Pt 3

-Aiden’s POV-

We got back home and I carried Mary up to the room. Even though she agreed to be with me, I was still sleeping in another room. I decided that after the evening she had that I did not want to be away from her. I tucked her into bed and curled up next to her. I fell asleep holding her close.

I felt her try to get up. I let her go and watched her walk to the bathroom. She came back out, naked. She must not have realized I was in the room. I cleared mt throat and she smiled. “Hi.”

“Hi there. I hope you don’t mind that I joined you.” I smiled and sat up.

She sat down on the bed, facing me. “You really gave me the tough love, didn’t you?” I could see the small smirk on her face.

“You needed it and it made you stronger. My Luna needs to be stronger than the rest. I can see your strength I just need you to find it.” I reached for her face and cupped her cheek. “My Luna,” I said again with a little chuckle.

“I am in for a lot, aren’t I?” I knew she was strong. I nodded. “Is there anyone to talk to so that I can learn more?”

I thought for a moment. My mother was n longer with us, she passed away right after I took over as the Alpha. I tried to think about other Lunas in the area, but they were all to far away. “I can look into it for you.”

“Thank you.” She smiled and curled into my hand. As she sat there, I could not help but become aroused. She was sitting there naked and smiling. I could not have asked the Goddess for a more perfect mate. “Aiden?”

“Yes, little wolf?”

She climbed into my lap and I held her close to my chest. “Thank you.” Before I could say anything else, she had fallen back to sleep right there in my arms. I scooted back so that my back was against the headboard and just relaxed. I was wide awake, so I decided not to go back to sleep.

The quiet was deafening had no idea that things were so peaceful in my house at night. I have been the Alpha of this pack since I was 18. I was trained from a young age to take over the pack. Most packs have patrols and sounds at night. We were the strongest and most feared pack in the area, so we had no need for those.

Every now and then, Mary twitched. Every time she did, I would hold her tight and she calmed down. I wondered what it was, but I chalked it up to the trauma. I smiled at her as the sun came up. She shivered and I pulled the blanket over us and held her closer. I felt a mindlink open with me. Alpha, we cleaned up the issue in town. All is well.

Thank you, Richard. I closed the link and closed my eyes. The commitment ceremony and wedding were a week away and there was so much to do. I did not want her to feel overwhelmed by the wedding planning. I decided right then that I wanted to have Richard’s mate help her with the planning. I reopened the link with him. Richard.

Yes Alpha.

I have a favor to ask of you and your mate.

There was a short pause. Anything. All you have to do is ask.

I would like your mate to help Mary plan the wedding. I don’t want her to get to overwhelmed with everything. I knew what I was asking was a lot, but his mate was friendly and rather easy to talk to.

Oh, she would love that. She has been looking for something to do lately. Richard was right, their child was starting to make more friends and spent time outside the house so she needed something to fill her time.

Send her to meet with us after lunch. Then I cut the link and fell asleep.
