Elder
Corvin and Faren, frightened by the tension between Blackheart and the four dragons, turned aside, not to be caught in the middle, in case there was a fight. But they did not take many steps, as one of the dragons began to speak. Dragons were known to speak with the help of the mind.
- What are you doing here, Blackheart?
- Elder must see them right away. Put aside the differences between us and take them to Elder.
- After you have been banished from this realm, do you dare to appear here with two chicks, and then you start telling me what to do?
- If I didn't have a good reason, I wouldn't go back here. You can do what you want me to do, but go to Elder who is waiting for him.
- Hmmm .. You will come too. Elder will decide your fate, but I hope you will die as soon as possible.
Then the dragons led the three in front of the ruler, in the heart of the cave. The cave was very large from all points of view, so that a dragon could walk comfortably without being able to fly. In about half an hour, Corvin arrived in a room much larger than the corridor he had walked, and in the middle of the room was a huge dragon, very old. His color was of a very waxy brown, he could not see the sun for a long time. One of the dragons who took Corvin, Faren and Blackheart stopped, leaned their head a little and started talking.
- If it is something very important that you have traveled so far to see him, you will have to be patient when you talk to him. and be honest with him, that he will know when you lie. Now go.
Corvin listened to him and walked towards Elder, but with very small steps, considering that their entrance was a little lit. Blackheart stood behind the four dragons. As he got closer and closer to the Elder, Corvin felt his heart beat harder, but without knowing it, he had only reached a few feet from the old dragon. Elder opened his eyes and raised his head slightly, pointing at him.
-Looks like you finally appeared, didn't you Corvin? Elder said in a thick but old voice.
- How do you know my name?
- I'm the oldest dragon in the world. I know everything I should know, plus your dad was a very good friend of mine ... I'm sorry about what happened.
-Me too, Corvin said, still amazed that he knew. Then that means you know why I came here, right?
- Not really. To be honest, you came too early, we were expecting you much later. Did something happen?
-Yes. Rohan sent the orcs after me and my mother ... my mother died. I am now being pursued by them, but for the time being I have escaped. I came here to ask you for help in the battle to come.
-The fight? What fight?
- Rohan wants to bring Lucifer back to this realm, and I want to stop him and I need help from everyone.
- How can we help you? You don't even have a kingdom, an army behind you. Your race still serves Rohan….
- Not for long. I'm going to take Rohan down and get the people on my side. Only then will I be able to restore the old links between the races, the same links that were many years ago.
- Someone tried something like that and he did not succed anyting. What makes you think you will succeed?
- I will find the Arkeryn sword and I will manage to unite all the realms, we will again become the same force that was once.
- You will have to give me some time. I need to advise with others, in addition I have to do something with Bleackheart
Corvin was a little worried about Bleackheart, but he bowed to Elder and then headed to another room with Faren, leaving Blackheart alone in front of the oldest dragon. Blackheart was f*******n to return next to his fellows, but risked bringing Corvin before him. They stayed for a long time in the room given to them by the dragons, and Corvin didn't have much patience until Faren started to annoy Corvin, because he was out of place.
- Can you stay for a few moments? You messed around with all this walking around the room, Faren said.
- I have no patience, I would like to hurry. We have no time to waste here.
- If you want to be king one day you will have to learn to be patient. Do you think it's easy to run a kingdom? You have a lot to learn, Corvin.
- I don't do this to become king, or to take my kingdom back ...
-Then why are you doing this? Faren asked more seriously, as she turned to him, standing in front of him.
-I want to pay for what he did to my parents, Corvin said as he glanced toward the door.
- So revenge? Then you will not succeed, and the war that did not even begin is over. If you want to unite the kingdoms and win this war, you will have to change. Do not start in this war with the desire to avenge yourself, otherwise you will perish.
Faren turned back to the bed there, letting Corvin think about what he had said. Until the next day, Corvin had plenty of time to think about what Faren had told him. Beyond their room, Blackheart was awaiting sentencing because he returned, even though he knew he was expelled, and that violating this rule would die.
