Chapter 1
A shocking scene was unfolding in the prison of S City. Five men in suits with anxious expression were surrounded by soldiers. Time slowly passed. A young man walked out from within. "General!" someone shouted excitedly toward the young man with their eyes filled with admiration. The other soldiers also looked at the man with reverence, stood as straight as javelins and saluted him. The man who had just walked out of the prison was the legend in the U.S. military, and more over, the War God of America. He was the only person to hold the rank of five-star general, and he was respectfully known as the "Dark Knight" in the worldwide. He had earned global respect by defeating the top warriors from eighteen nations without weapons but his fists. This man was Michael Hecker. He was once an orphan wandering the streets of S City, later adopted by the Hecker family but relentlessly bullied. Now, he had returned to S City, which made him stir up all sorts of mixed feelings. In the past, Michael was treated as nothing more than a servant by the Hecker family, subjected to merciless beatings, scoldings, and humiliation. But today, he stood at the pinnacle of the world and received respects from the world. Before, Michael had founded the Perfect Group with sheer determination, a company that shook the business world and amassed billions of dollars in assets. He became the dark horse of S City's business scene. Not only did him revive the Heckers from their decline but also lead their family business to the top of S City. Yet, the Heckers grew jealous of him and framed him as an outsider. What should have been a joyful wedding night for him and his wife, Yolanda Kundera, turned into a conspiracy that plunged him into the abyss. He was drunk and was brought to his brother's wife's bed, which resulted in public disgrace and legal charges. Just in a single night, he lost not only his status as a rising business star but also became a despised criminal . During the six years in prison, he couldn't forget the Heckers' cruelty or the disappointed look on his wife Yolanda Kundera's face. However, Michael's life took a dramatic turn amidst the endless darkness. In prison, he was chosen by a mysterious figure, entered the military and finally became a War God. Now, he was out of prison, determined to take back everything he had lost. The entire Hecker family would soon be shaken by his return! Michael asked, "Mario, what's going on?" Mario Cuy stepped forward and said, "General, your wife, Mrs. Hecker is holding an engagement ceremony tonight at 10 o'clock." On the night of his wedding, Michael had been thrown into prison. For six years, Yolanda had been enduring endless pressure alone.  At this moment, Michael's only desire was to see Yolanda. But he must conceal his true identity, and use the identity of a released convict to find those who had framed him and to prove that Yolanda's husband was not a criminal! Mario hesitated for a moment and continued, "Also, the Heckers are hosting a banquet at the Sunshine Hotel to celebrate their company's IPO. Many people have invited you to attend, and representatives from the Heckers were sent as well. I didn't turn them down directly." "When does the banquet start?" Michael asked. "It's already underway." "Notify the Heckers that I will attend the banquet!" *** At the Sunshine Hotel in S City, the Hecker family's celebration banquet was in full swing. The room was filled with laughter. Wood Hecker, the head of the Heckers, said, "Welcome, everyone! Today, the Hecker Group has gone public. I hope we can all advance together in the future!" Just like Wood, the younger generation of the Heckers was even prouder. From now on, the Heckers would ascend to high society, and they would become the most elite of S City's younger generation. The guests present were all elite members of S City's upper class. They mingled and eagerly discussed today's hottest news. One of them turned to Wood and said, "Wood, have you heard about the big news today? Compared to that, your party is nothing." "Yes, I heard that a distinguished guest has arrived in S City. All the major roads have been cleared, blocked by 100,000 soldiers! Even the wealthiest person in S City was forced to leave because their status wasn't high enough." "It's not surprising. Even the governor of S City waited for him and still couldn't meet him." Wood nodded with a smile, "Of course, I know. In fact, I even sent an invitation to this distinguished guest, asking him to join our celebration." "How could that be possible? Why would such an important guest attend a party like this?" Everyone in the room expressed their doubts. Truth be told, Wood himself wasn't confident. He was just trying his luck. Suddenly, Billy Hecker, Wood's second son, burst into the room and exclaimed with excitement, "Father, the distinguished guest has agreed to attend our celebration! He's on his way!" "What? This is a blessing from the heavens!" Wood was overjoyed. For them, this was a golden opportunity to make a leap forward. The younger generation of the Heckers gathered around to express their excitement. Michael's brother, Ethan Hecker, and his wife, Lily Morrison Hecker, smiled and said, "The revival of the Heckers started with Michael being imprisoned..." "Speaking of Michael, do you remember? Today is the day he regains his freedom!" someone suddenly mentioned Michael. "That's such disappointing news! My God, he gets released from prison on such a joyous day!" "I hope he doesn't come back to the Heckers! He's nothing but a disgrace to the family!" Lily sneered, "Don't forget, the Heckers owe much of their current success to Michael's accomplishments!" Ethan scoffed, "That was his duty! An orphan, raised by us—the Heckers—a company worth billions, what's that compared to our kindness? Frankly, he's nothing more than a loyal servant we raised!" Someone laughed and said, "I've had my eye on Michael's wife for a long time. She's still clinging to him, but I plan to marry her! Haha!" The crowd erupted in laughter. "Everyone, please quiet down. I have an important announcement..." Wood's voice rang out. "The distinguished guest will soon arrive at our banquet!" The applause was thunderous. Clap! Clap! Clap! But after the applause died down, a distinct sound of clapping continued. The sound drew closer, steady and unyielding. A tall, imposing figure strode confidently down the red carpet, heading toward the center of the banquet. His presence was commanding, exuding an undeniable sense of authority as he approached. Everyone in the room instinctively held their breath. "That's Michael!" Ethan and Lily screamed. In an instant, hundreds of eyes turned to him. "We forgot he was being released from prison today!" Michael's adoptive parents exclaimed simultaneously. Ignoring the shocked gazes around him, Michael walked steadily toward Wood. "I heard the company went public. Are you happy?" Michael's smile carried a deep, unfathomable meaning. Wood scolded furiously, "How dare you walk in here?!" "How did he even get in?" Ethan stood up, his voice cold. "Michael, how dare you come back?" Michael met his gaze and respond with a calm voice, "Why wouldn't I come back? All of this was mine to begin with!" Ethan continued to hurl accusations, his voice filled with anger. He said, "You, an orphan with no parents! The Heckers raised you, and yet you tried to take over the Heckers. Worse, you harbored wicked thoughts and were involved with your brother's wife! Where is your conscience?" "Everyone knows what you did! And you still dare to come back! Don't you know shame?"
