They say the worst thing that could ever happen at one’s mating ceremony was for a third party to step in and reject the ceremony. It didn’t usually happen but it has before.
Even in the Shadowmoon Pack, there is a history of such. Once, a few years ago, a Warrior was having his mating ceremony with a girl from another pack, when the ceremony was disrupted by the girl’s father.
It was strange. Why would her father try to stop the ceremony?
That was because he didn’t want anything to do with the Shadowmoon Pack. At that time, the man was a Seer of another Pack. According to the couple, he had seemed totally fine with the fact that his daughter had a mate, but suddenly, he couldn’t bear the thought.
