Zane getting drowsy himself gently laid down and adjusted Ember's head to lay on his chest he only thought about how right it felt to have her close to him like this Zane woke up the next morning and Ember was still asleep but he noticed that she had cuddled up even closer to him he couldn't bring himself to wake her up so he just watched the clouds drifting by, the leaves swaying in the breeze, and listened to the birds singing their songs he wanted to remember this moment forever Ember was dreaming that she was young and being held close to her mother's chest she could feel the heartbeat Zane realized that Ember was waking up and pretended to be asleep still Ember confused lifted up her head looked around and then said softly "Guess Zane is still asleep" she thought of what to do but didn't know so she laid back down beside Zane and rested her head against his chest again feeling his heart beat and thinking that he actually wasn't that bad looking I mean he is tall, broad shouldered, strong, had high cheekbones, and he is kind Zane was thinking I hope this is believable he changed his breathing to sound louder Ember was to deep in thought to notice the change of breath she nearly jumped when she heard ummmm... and then realized it was Zane she went limp again pretending to be sleeping hoping Zane didn't know she was awake Zane stretched out his arms and fake yawned he gently cupped his large hand under Ember's head and set it down on the ground Ember thinking Yeah I fooled him I fooled him! Zane walked around the woods and found some Guinea fowl eggs he brought them over to the place where they had their fire he lit a match and started the fire and pulled out of the backpack a mini fire pot he got out some rope tied the sticks together and propped the pot on them and started cooking the eggs Ember couldn't bear fake sleeping anymore at least not with the delicious smell she blinked several times then tried to get up forgetting about her leg she fell "Holy crap! ow" "Are you okay" Zane said rushing to her side he helped her up "Here lean with all your weight against me and keep your bad leg off the ground" Ember looked at his eyes realizing just how beautiful they were "Ember ? Are you gonna pass out again?" Zane asked concern written all over his face "No just a bit dizzy it is probably because I haven't eaten anything recently it's nothing" she swayed on her feet or rather foot a bit "when did you last eat or drink something?" Zane asked "um..."Ember fell forward buckling Zane's quick reflexes was the only thing that kept her from falling "Ember! Ember! EMBER! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!" "Hmm" Zane carried her over to the food he put the food in little baggies and shoved them into backpack and picked Ember up and began running to get to the healer "Don't worry Ember I got you."
