"I still can't believe I'm homeless" Henry muttered looking for a cheap inn. Twenty minutes later, he found one and stop in his tracks as he saw the name of the inn and chuckled "Make sure, you're with your money, what an awesome name." While he was about to walk into the inn, he heard the loud shriek of a woman and quickly turned his head. He saw a young couple walking along when a man ran up and attacked the younger one. Henry got curious and walked closer while watching it unfold. That's when an older man pulled out a knife and began to stab the younger man. When Henry saw the scene unfolding before him, he felt something deep inside react. 'Short-distance teleportation' In an instant, Henry reappeared before the man and delivered his nose with a powerful punch, sending him hurtling backward. The man's lifeless body staggered and collided with a nearby wall, blood spewing as Henry observed the aftermath. Bloodstains spread across the young man's shirt, and a growling crowd rushed towards the distressed couple. Henry, his gaze fixed on them, was overwhelmed and haunting memories flowed into his head. Unable to face the scene, he swiftly retreated to the inn, escaping the chaos. From the outside the inn looked inviting, pleasant, and enchanting. Brick and wooden pillars made up of most of the building's outer structure. It was impossible to see through the window, but the sounds of cutlery and drinking glass from within could be heard. *Sigh* Henry sighed in relief as he walked through the old, sturdy wooden door. "Not bad" He muttered and smile as he was welcomed by a feeling of comfort and a sense of home which instantly calmed him down. The inn itself is packed. Passing treaders seemed to be the primary patrons, which could be seen as an unwelcome sign, though Henry thought it wasn't. Several long tables are occupied by what appears to be a large group of adventures. The other small tables are also occupied by people who seem to be close to the inn owners. Nevertheless, they were happy to welcome others into their midst. Even most of the stools at the bar are occupied, though nobody seems to mind more company. He approached the bar and asked the innkeeper about the price. "How much for a single room for the night?" The man looks up at Henry with a smiles on his face. "Three Gold coins per night, Four including breakfast." He kept smiling waiting for Henry's reply. "Okay can I get something to eat now?" Henry muttured as he placed a poutch of five gold coins on the counter. The man nodded his head "Yes, there's some stew left if you would like that?" Henry nodded and looked around to find a place to sit down, but there was no free place he could see. "Can I take the food in my room?" The man nodded and handed him a key while telling him where it was. "Head up the stairs and strength ahead to the end of the hallway. Your room is on the left, number eight, I will have the food brought to you." Expressing gratitude to the innkeeper, Henry accepted the key and headed to his room. As he ascended the stairs, snippets of hushed conversation about him floated through the air. "He's too cute, what's he doing here?" "I heard the king disowned him" Shaking his head in dismissal, Henry ignored the idle chatter and reached the room indicated by the roomkeeper. Unlocking the door he entered a simple, unadorned bedroom. It had a bed, a chest for storage, and the table In the corner with a chair. He approached the bed to lie down. Half an hour passed when he heard two knocks on the door. Getting up as he walked over to the door, he opens to see a young boy. He looked like the younger version of the innkeeper. 'Must be the innkeeper's son' Henry spoke inwardly with a wild smile on his face. "My father told me to bring this to you" The boy spoke up handing Henry the tray with a bowl of meat stew and a lump of bread on the side. It was finished with a glass of water as the boy placed it on top of the table. "Thanks, young innkeeper" Henry muttered while closing the door. He walked towards the table and sat down to eat while thinking about those feelings that had flooded him. He finished eating the food while overthinking everything. "What if I didn't go back to school for my graduation?" "What if I wasn't chosen to be the savior of this world?" "What if all of this is just a dream?" Suddenly, Henry was haunted by thoughts, spiraling into madness that he had never experienced, too many what-if situations. He got up from the chair and started stripping out of his clothes and started storing them in his storage ring. Henry got into bed and curled up. Falling into a deep sleep. It's difficult to think about how things happened in his life so fast. "Henry!, wake up!" A female voice scream loudly and he woke up. The last thing he remembered was falling asleep in the inn. Henry looked around and found himself in a house back on Earth, his surroundings instantly recognizable as a typical British living room. He slowly walked around and surveyed the rooms. The familiar sight of commonplace items confirmed his unexpected return to his home planet. A large Television on the wall, sofas opposite it, and a coffee table in the center of the room. There were family pictures hung on the wall. "What's going on?" Henry spoke to himself as he looked to the left and noticed his three sisters standing beside him with smiles on their faces. "These are my siblings" Henry muttered in a low tone. "Henry, Mom said we could visit the park, so get ready" one of his siblings spoke while smiling and looking at him with her violet beautiful eyes. "We miss you Henry" His three siblings spoke in union and disappeared. "Mimi, Rella, Big sis, what's happening!" Henry muttered as he walked over to the kitchen and couldn't find his Mom. "Mom, Mom, Mom!!!" Henry woke up covered with sweat and panicking, looking around the small room he fell asleep in. Realizing it was just a dream, he angrily spoke to himself. "Dam, it's a dream, why is this happening?" He got out of bed before stretching and heard his bones popping, which made him feel better. After that, he walked over to the bathroom to take his bath. A few minutes later he walked out from the bathroom and pulled out his clothes and put them on. He then grabbed the dirty dishes from last night while heading downstairs. The lingering effect of the dream weighed on Henry more than he initially realized. Thought of him losing his family on Earth occupied his mind till he approached the counter. To his surprise, a younger woman stood behind it instead of the man from the night before. "Hey Handsome, you're here for breakfast" she inquired, her tone carrying a mix of familiarity and curiosity as she took the dishes he had. Henry's only reaction was a silent stare followed by a nod as he proceeded to the beautiful girl's question. Yet, he stood there a sudden shout pierced his mind. "Henry, wake up!" The familiar call annoyed him and caused him to get angry. Without a word, he walked out of the inn and approached the guild to take a quest. His thoughts were haunted by the echoing voice of his mom from the dream, her calls continued to resonate in his mind as he navigated the city street. 'Henry!' 'Henry!' 'Henry!!' "f**k off!!!!" Henry screamed out, ignoring all the shocked looks he was getting, he continued walking. He reached the guild in ten minutes. When he entered, he headed straight to the counter to get his coin from last night. Seeing a large queue, he waited behind a group of adventures as they waited. That's when his stomach rumbled. 'I will eat the heart of the beast I hunt when I'm done here' Half an hour later he was ready to speak to the woman. Rather than looking at him, she looks at some paperwork. "Hello, how can I help you?" Henry looked at the woman "I came to collect money I made from the quest yesterday" Her eyes widened as she looked up from the paperwork to look at him. She put the paper down and introduced herself. "I'm Rusha, it's nice to meet you, Henry. Fave told me a lot about you last night before she went off duty. He nodded along before changing the subject. "Can I have my coins? I want to take a quest." She nodded before getting up from her seat and entering a room behind her while telling him to wait a minute. Six minutes later she returned with a coin pouch, which she gave to Henry and handed him the coin. "Here is your coin, Fave said some bodies are in perfect condition so you earned extra" He was happy with his earnings. "Thank you, I'm going to take a quest now" Henry walked over to the quest board, looking for an E-ranked quest. He found one shortly after. [Wolf Hunt] [Cull the forest wolf population because they are running amok outside our town] [Calish Town, three days east from the City] [Four gold] He liked the quest so he started talking to himself. "I'll take this one, I think it might increase my experience point more." Henry took the paper to the same receptionist and told her he wanted to take the quest. The woman looked at him with a concerned look. "Are you sure you want to take this? It's dangerous." He smiled at her warning "It's fine, I will be perfectly okay, the only way you can help me is to show me where I can get spell books." The receptionist shook her head, not understanding his reasons but she gave him answers. "Exist the guild, turn right, and you'll find an alchemist shop within a five-minute walk from here. When you get there, take a right, and you'll see the shop." "Thank you. Now please could the guild deliver a letter for me, please?" He asked. She nodded and asked if he needed a paper and pen. Henry took the stuff and wrote a quick letter to Helen telling her he would visit her in a week or two. He will sneak onto the balcony connected to her room, lately. He has been thinking a lot about her lately. Once Henry finished the letter, he handed it to the receptionist before walking out. He followed the woman's direction. Ten minutes later he found the alchemist store, and across from that was a shop called Wizard way out spell book. 'What a funny name' Henry mumbled. As Henry approached the store, he stepped inside, immediately taking notes of its pristine condition. The interior was impeccably clean, and numerous bookshelves lined the wall, creating an atmosphere of order and intellectual riches. Henry started looking for any spell he liked. Walking up to the shelf, he started reading the names of the books.
