"What is your problem?!" I all but yelled at him. He looked down at me a bit surprised, but pushed me aside and walked past me. My body was screaming in anger. I felt like I was losing my mind.

I chased after him as we exited the building. He knew I was following and led me into the woods where we had met the night before.

"Would you stop?" He finally turned around and spoke to me.

"Not until you give me answers or reject me" I stomped my foot and crossed my arms giving him the angriest look I could muster while staring at that handsome face.

My eyes flickered down to his lips for just a moment and I wanted to curse myself as he smiled at my action.

"See something you like," he teased. He began to approach me and I stepped back, hitting a tree.

"No" I lied, trying to look away from him as he came closer.

"Are you sure about that?" He was being very seductive. I could feel his breath fan over my face.

He stared down at my lips then. I bit my bottom lip as just the thought of kissing him had me aroused. He got closer and I desperately wanted to close the space between our lips as I felt his breath against my skin. He smelled so delectable.

He placed his thumb and forefinger on my chin lifting me up to him. His lips met mine with such an intensity. My knees began to give in as I melted into a puddle. My arousal could probably be smelled from a mile away.

His lips gently parted mine as his tongue searched around my mouth. His lips were soft yet strong. They demanded things of me and I willingly did them. I felt like I was floating away and the only thing keeping me grounded was his touch on my chin. I wanted more of him. I fed into the kiss as I grabbed the back of his head pushing him closer to me.

He pulled away from me then and I immediately missed him. I almost stepped forward to follow his lips as they left mine. I wanted him back desperately, in fact I needed him back right now. He cleared his throat as if he didn't just mean to kiss me. He just snapped out of the trance created by our mate bond.

"You need to go," He said, pointing out of the woods.

Ch. 1
"Are you ready for your first day of college?" I heard my mom yell from the kitchen. "Very." I responded, excited to finally start my days in Partha Octia University. The University was made for us supernatural kids that wanted jobs in supernatural fields. I was entering the medical field specializing in werewolves, minoring in shape shifters. A lot of the anatomy is the same there. I was finally moving out of this small town, ready to meet new people. I had been secluded to a handful of werewolves and a couple fairies. I was about to enter into a world full of different creatures, and the excitement was eating away at me. "You're sure you've got everything?" My mother, the worry wart, questioned. Her short brown hair ruffled over her shoulders as she c*cked her head to the side. "Yes." I told her, seeing a small reflection of myself in her green eyes. "I can't believe you're starting college!" She yelled, pulling me in for about the 100th hug today. "Not if we don't get going soon." I nudged her toward the door. She was dragging her feet, not ready to send me out. "Okay, okay." She waved her hands in surrender. "Let's go" Partha Octia University was about 4 hours away from home. Far enough that my mom won't visit everyday, but close enough for me to come home during the weekends or holidays. The drive there felt very long, longer than when I had gone to tour the campus. I had a small ball of anxiety building up in my stomach ready to make its way up my throat and out of my mouth. As we pulled into the school I could see countless parents giving their final hugs and saying goodbye. Suitcases lined the sidewalks along with boxes slowly being taken in. Mom parked beside a little blue Volkswagen with crying parents inside. My heart broke a little for my mom, and myself. We had been like best friends, always sharing our problems and being there for one another. I know it was going to be an adjustment for both of us. We got down from the car and headed to check in. The excitement and anxiety were mixing into this big ball of nerves making me want to kick my mom to the curb, but also not wanting to let her go. I walked up to the counter eyeing the overly bubbly RA. Her pixie cut nicely framed her round face that beamed a wide smile at me. "Hello and welcome to Partha Octia University. My name is Brittney and I'm the RA for these dorms. What's your name? I'll get you all checked in and set to go." Her tone was extremely chipper and a bit squeaky. "I'm Rain Lancaster." I explained to her, returning a small smile. "Well hello Rain. What a unique name." She added as she walked over to a computer. "Let's see…you're in room 204. That's just upstairs. It seems your roommate has already checked in. How exciting!" She clapped her hands. "I'm sorry. " I was confused. "I had requested a single dorm. " Brittney's smile faded faster than a blink of an eye. "There are no single dorms here at Partha Octia University." She said very seriously before plastering that smile on her face again. "Now let me lead you to the elevator." She grabbed my bag from me before I could protest, and led the way down the hall. We squeezed past parents, students, and volunteers as we made our way through. My anxiety continued to build with each passing step. I could feel my skin start to crawl. My wolf hated being in crowded areas. She was more of a loner, having been raised outside of a pack. We looked after ourselves all our life. 'Honestly Rain, Brittney is lucky I didn't slap that smile off her face' Heli chimed in my mind. `Remind me why we chose to stay in a dorm?' As if on cue my mom grabbed me and squeezed me into a tight hug in front of everyone. My cheeks felt hot as the blush crossed my face. I wanted to melt away when my mother started to gush. "My baby is all grown up. Where has the time gone?" She said squeezing my cheeks together with her palms. "Mom, stop it. You're embarrassing me." I whispered, pushing her hands away. She frowned, making me feel small pangs of guilt. "Could you please just wait till we are outside again for that?" I asked, trying to make her feel better. She cleared her throat. "Right, yes of course." We entered the elevator at that moment, Brittney handed me my bag, not joining us. "Just hit the 2 and turn right, out of the elevator. It should be the 2nd door on the left." She instructed as the elevator began to close on that ever present smile of hers. 'I've determined that we are not a fan of Brittney,' Heli chimed in again and I wholeheartedly agreed. We did as Britney instructed and got off the elevator reaching the door clearly labeled 204. I stared at the big black numbers realizing this would be my home for the next 9 months. I swallowed down the nervousness that had crept into my throat, and opened the door. A girl with long, light brown hair, and long thin features turned to look at me. Her eyes were taking me in just as mine were doing to her. She didn't say anything or move to greet me. She proceeded to unpack her things without a word. I wasn't sure if I was happy with this or not. On the one hand she would stay out of my business. On the other hand she could be a complete b*tch. I moved over to the empty bed, placing my bag over it. I looked over at mom who had started to make her way to my roommate. 'oh no, stop her!' Heli all but yelled at me. Before I could reach to turn mom away she had stretched her hand out to the long haired girl. "Hi, you must be Rain's roommate. I'm her mother-" before mom could even say her name the girl (I'm now deeming a b*tch) held her hand up to stop her. "I'm going to stop you there." Her voice was harsh and I think British? "I'm not here to make friends. I have plenty of those. I'm here to get my degree and leave. I'm serious about my studies which means I have no time for rifraft. It was not previously stated to me that there were no single dorms. I will treat this as if it were one. For the next 9 months your daughter does not exist to me. Do not ask me for anything." She quickly said, leaving my mother open mouthed and in shock. My anger quickly rose, as Heli wanted to beat the living sh*t out of this girl. My fangs began to peek out and my nails elongated. She seemed to sense the danger, because she turned to me and quickly ran out. My mother stepped in front of me. "Calm down sweetheart. I'm fine. Not offended at all. Perhaps it is for the best. You wanted a single dorm anyway." She comforted me. After I calmed down we went back down and brought the rest of my things up to the dorm. My roommate stayed gone for an hour before returning to finish unpacking. My mother and I said our tearful goodbyes and I promised her to keep in touch and eat healthy. I planned on keeping at least one of those promises.
