Keeping her safe

Chapter 1 Mrs Ellis's POV I heard a repeated loud bang on the door and groaned half asleep. "Wha-" I sat up straight and rubbed my eyes. "Anyone there?! Please open!" Mrs Ellis's eyes were wide open all of the sudden at the repeated banging and rushed to the door. Completely forgetting what she looked like and opening the door in a hurry trying to stop him from waking up the whole house! In front of her is a man at about thirty years of age with straight brown hair and pale green eyes. His expression went from alarmed to something else that only means I must look like a truck just ran over me twice..."It's 5 'o clock in the mor-"   He seemed to remember his urgency. " I am sorry to disturb you so early in the morning but it is a matter of urgency!" I sighed, composing myself a bit more. "What is it?" He looked a bit relieved at me calming down.  "My name is Mr Wallaby and I am afraid we do not have much time."He rushed inside looking if he was tailed before closing the door." Chapter 2 Rachel's POV I wake up hearing people in the house and they were making a lot of noise. I get up rubbing my face and went to see what was going on. I came into the foyer and I see my mom is dressed in her pj's and her brown hair is  a messy bun and her brown eyes seems very tired and confused. She is standing with a man in a very nice attire who is standing a few meters away. "What time is it? Why are you being so loud?" My mom's face softened. "Please go back to bed darl-" The man look towards me and then to my mom. I am sorry to interrupt ma'am but we do not have much time." He breathed deeply. This is a very delicate situation and my only concern is the privacy and safety for Rachel." After this announcement my mom's eyes looked alarmed as if knowing what is unfolding as the man gave her a piece of paper. My mom started reading the paper and froze and then her face was unreadable. She turned to me. "Sweetie listen very carefully. Go get ready." I started objecting. "Bu-" She looked sternly at me. "Do it now! and make sure you hide your face and hair, I will explain as soon as I can." I was still half asleep and confused but I nodded and turned around. Heading to my room. In my room I headed to my cupboard, getting a pair of blue jeans and a black t-shirt and laid it on the bed. What on earth is that all about? Should I be worried? I went to the bathroom and rinsed my face. My sea blue eyes were a bit tired and I saw my messy hair. I brushed my long brown wavy hair and put it in a ponytail. I went back to my room and took the grey hoodie over my chair and my sunglasses from my desk. Guess the sooner I get ready the sooner I will find out. I started getting dressed and pulled the hoodie over my head. Hiding my ponytail in the hood and putting on my glasses. Chapter 3 Mr Wallaby's POV As soon as Rachel left the room and I heard her close the door, I took a sigh of relief. "Thank you, I knew you would understand." Mrs Ellis went to the living room and slumped into the closest chair. I can see this is already taking a toll on her and she looks very worried. "look everyone's main concern is Rachel. We need to be strong for her now and decide what is best for her. She looked up out of her trance. "I know... I just wish we had more time. She. Had more time." Mrs Ellis looked me in the eye. " Do you think she is ready? Will she ever be ready?"  I stared straight back at her. "We will find out soon. Where is Mr Ellis?"  She looked towards a room which is probably where he is. " Probably snoring up a storm, I should go wake him up." Chapter 4 *     *     * Mr and Mrs Ellis came back together and I was seated in a chair opposite the one Mrs Ellis was sitting in earlier. He looks very upset. "Morning Mr Ellis, sorry for the early disturbance but due to the situation, can you and Mrs Ellis please buy us time?" Mr Ellis became red in the face. "Hell no! I am coming with her." I looked pleadingly at him. "Please sir! We need you two to be decoys so we can get away. It is for Rachel's safety." Mrs Ellis looks worried. "But how will she understand this? I promised her I would explain everything to her." I looked at her reassuringly. "She might find out before we can explain it to her if we stay here any longer. As we speak people will be here soon. We must hurry!" Mrs Ellis looks down realising it is best. "You are right." I stood up. "I already made arrangements to get out of this building by the back. You will be going through the front looking like us."  Mr Ellis stepped closer. "Make sure Rachel stays safe. We will distract the reporters and any other threats." As I nodded, Rachel entered the room dressed like a guy. This could work. "Rachel it is time for us to leave." Mr and Mrs Ellis went to Rachel. "Rachel honey, you need to leave with him." Rachel's eyes went wide. "What?! Alone with him? I don't even know him!" Mrs Ellis took Rachel's shoulders gently. "Rachel please, you will have to trust him and no one else. I know I promised to explain things to you but it will have to wait until we meet up again." Rachel looks unsure and was staring at me and looked back at Mrs Ellis. "And please don't ask any questions. We would like to explain things ourselves." Rachel was about to object but Mrs Ellis looked sternly at her. "Please!" Rachel nodded. "I promise." Chapter 5 Mrs Ellis's POV At least I am as tiny as Rachel with more or less the same colour hair. Me and John (Mr Ellis) are dressed similar to Rachel and Mr Wallaby. We left the apartment first, we went through the lobby and Rachel and Mr Wallaby will be going through the exit where they take out the trash.  I had sunglasses and a hoodie on similar to Rachel's. As we went through the lobby the first wave of reporters stormed around us taking pictures and asking questions. "How does it feel knowing you aren't a normal teenager?" and another. "Where will you be staying no that your father has passed away?" I started blocking out the rest of the questions and to think she would have been bombarded with all these questions. We owe so much to MR Wallaby. Unfortunately our car is parked outside in the front of the building and we can see a second wave of reporters waiting there.  John kept shielding me from  the reporters being like an over protective father over his child. So far they are taking the bait because I am shielding my lower face as much as I can with my gloved hands and we don't see anyone running off somewhere else.  Two men similarly dressed as Mr Wallaby was helping us and making a path to the car doors and making sure we leave safely. We finally got to the car and after a struggle we got inside and drove off. Reporters started following us in their own cars. John was trying to drive fast. "Damn it! I am struggling to shake them off." The other two men who helped us before were both in separate cars and following us trying to keep the reporters from chasing us. John made a face. "Hold on we are skipping a robot!" I started screaming when I saw a car just just missing us and hooting. We probably gave him a small heart attack.  "Oh my gosh John those two men stopped with their cars keeping the reporters from following us. They are still stuck behind the robot!" John sighed with relief. "That is good." And that is when it happened. All I saw was a van slamming into us from the side.
