“Can you read in the car without getting sick?” Lorna asked, glancing at Zoe, who had been reading Ridden Hard for a good hour, as they drove toward Grand Junction. “Yeah, usually,” Zoe said. She put the book aside for a moment and picked up her water bottle, then fiddled with her phone for a while. “Do you want to go to the Colorado National Monument on the way into Grand Junction? That seems like your kind of thing.” “Sure, if you want to.” “The views are supposed to be amazing. I’m starting to see the appeal of all this nature stuff.
