Levi’s Pov
“How much longer?”
“A few minutes Alpha.”
I nod and make my way back to Simon. He’s been so nervous for this trip that the pack doctor prescribed him a light sedative to knock him out during the plane ride. Ever since his father showed up and joined our pack, we’ve been preparing for the howler ceremony as best as we possibly can. More security, more safety measures, and plans to avoid Alpha Kain as much as possible. He wasn’t taking my mate. Although now that he was officially a Luna, it would be nearly impossible.
Nearly.
He was just as powerful as me, so who knows what he’s capable of. I’m sure as hell not trying to find out.
As I open the room door, there’s Simon, sitting on the edge of the bed while peering out the window. I feel his anxiety through our link and he speaks before I’m able to touch him.
“I’d almost forgotten how pretty the sky is here.”
I sit down next to him, not saying a word, but rather joining him to stare out the window. The sky was a crimson red that bathed the land below in its beauty. The clouds were blue and purple while the moonlight served as a giant, glittery night light in the sky. If everyone was allowed here, it would definitely be a famous tourist attraction that drew in the everyone from around the world. But humans weren’t allowed here. It was a sacred island that wolves hid from any other species. Especially humans. While some were kind, many others were vile and did unspeakable things because they’re afraid.
I almost get so lost in my thoughts that I nearly miss when he finally gets up and heads for the door.
“Where are you going?”
“To the bathroom so I can shower and change. A Luna needs to make a good impression right?”
I nod and give a warm smile before he disappears out the room.

A vicious snarl rips through my mind but I just roll my eyes and shrug it off
Stop being a drama queen, he’s still just a little nervous for tonight but it’ll pass

‘Because he’ll be safe with us the whole time, Kain won’t touch a hair on his head’
Percy: “But that’s just it, Kain doesn’t seem to be what’s bothering him”

‘Well then, what is it?’
Percy: “If I knew I would’ve told you!”
‘Well can’t you talk to Axel?’
Percy: “He’s blocking me from parts of his subconscious, that’s how I know something else is going on. He never does that. Our bond is stronger than you humans”
‘Wow, way to be an asshole’
Percy: “Anytime”
Suddenly a high pitched giggle fills the room. I turn to see Simon, standing in the doorway and smiling widely.
“Are you boys going to just sit there and argue?”
I can’t speak as I stare at him. I don’t know how many times I’ve said he’s beautiful but damn...he’s beautiful. He’s wearing an all white button down shirt, body fitting cargo pants with white and gray vans. His hair is up in his signature bun and to complete the look, he’s wearing a white cardigan that’s covered with gray and silver stars that shine and reflect off any light. He was like the human embodiment of the nighttime sky and I was totally living for it.
“Awww, wolfie can’t speak?”
In a flash I was up and in the doorway, pulling his waist close to mine.
“Don’t rile the wolf if you can’t handle it.” I whispered and he didn’t respond. Instead he lifted his cardigan and gave a little twirl as he turned away, exposing his plump ass to me. The pants were tighter than I thought. They hugged his hips and behind way more than I expected, igniting the jealousy flame that always burned bright in me.
“Change before this f*****g plane lands” I hissed angrily.
“What was that? Sorry baby I couldn’t hear you!”
He laughs and trots out the door making me realize we’ve already landed. Angrily, I go to chase after him but realize I have to keep my cool since other Alphas are waiting to greet on the air strip as tradition.
