Ember's pov…

It's been a week since the whole incident happened and since then, I've begun an intense training that would help me get better at being a werewolf.

The disturbing part of it all is that since that day I shifted into a wolf, I have been unable to shift back again no matter how hard I try. I haven't discovered any abilities and I'm just equivalent to being a human. The only difference was that I have a sharp hearing and can hear a conversation being had at a very far distance.

This is making me doubt if I'm actually a werewolf and what happened that day was just a mistake.

The fact that it didn't worry Sebastian at all and he just kept saying that I should focus and train and that would keep me on track.

He also said that since I'm a special breed, we should expect anything to happen and it all depends on the moon goddess.

He has been the one encouraging me for the past one week, he is so nice and sweet towards me and I prayed silently that I'm actually not human so he doesn't switch back to being very cold and mean towards me.

If this was how he acted when he approached me, we wouldn't have had any problems but he was just so rude and authoritative.

His Beta, Ryan has been the one training me even though I would have preferred Sebastian but he was too busy with his pack duties and if he was the one, I wouldn't get serious.

His Beta too was so nice, calm and strict.

He was the same person with that first guy I saw who had hazel eyes when Georgia brought me here against my wish.

“If you're getting tired already, let me know so you can go on a little break and then you come back later.” Ryan suggested and I sighed.

Even though I go on a break, it makes no difference except I just enjoy relaxing on the bed.

Apart from that, I had no one to talk to except for Sebastian and he is always very busy.

The only thing I do in his palace is to eat, train and sleep. He set some certain boundaries all in the name of protecting me so therefore, I don't have any friends.

I'm not even allowed to step out or take a stroll, I should always be indoors all the time.

What I do most times is just to communicate with my unborn child or watch the view of the pack from the window side.

It's really so boring being confined in a place for close to a month but what can I do?

Sebastian says it's not safe if I step out because of who I really was and I was being very cautious because of my unborn child, I don't want anything to happen to my baby, it's going to traumatize if that happens.

“You have something to do?” I suddenly asked Ryan.

“I have a lot of things to do but all that is suspended anytime I'm training with you.” Ryan answered simply and I sighed.

“I've been wanting to ask something, this question is supposed to be directed to Sebastian but I can ask you since you're close with him.”

“Okay Luna Ember, you're free to ask me anything.”

Yeah, that's the name everyone addresses me with even though it kind of sounds weird in my ears but I got to know it's the feminine word for an Alpha.

Just like in the human world, it's equivalent to husband and wife.

The third day I arrived here, I was officially introduced to his pack as the Luna and an official ceremony would be held for it after I put to bed.

“I know before I came into the picture, Sebastian must have had other women. He is the most powerful Alpha in the werewolf world so he must have a lot of ladies throwing themselves at him. He must have had someone he was into a deep relationship with because no one expected I would take this position in his life, it was accidental and then I turned out to be his mate.

Let me just go straight to the point, doesn't he have other ladies apart from me? I haven't seen anyone around him, there must be a particular one that is obsessed with him and must be trying to get him back but I haven't seen any around.” I suddenly asked Ryan and he went mute.

I know the question wasn't necessary but I was just curious but I would be really glad if there is no other lady because things have been peaceful.

“Alpha Sebastian isn't the flirty or promiscuous type, he has no time for women. He had other goals to pursue and that determination got him to where he is today. He usually says there's time for everything, if he wants a hundred ladies who are a ten out ten in his bedroom in a few minutes, he would get them without any stress. Since he hasn't gotten his mate and he wasn't ready for commitment with any other lady, he decided to go for the option which is getting any random lady to carry his pups.

That's where you came into the picture and you turned out to even be his mates.” Ryan explained and I found it hard to believe.

I've read in fictional books about Alpha's and their high s*x drive, they are always passing the night with different ladies.

“So you're trying to tell me that there's no lady? Like a strong she-wolf that everyone else thinks is the perfect match for him?”

“There's one actually and her name is Rihanna, she is Alpha Sebastian's childhood friend but has wanted to be his Luna because of how far they have come together. She is one of the strongest she-wolves in this pack and is in charge of training the warriors in this pack. You're going to meet her soon I guess,” Ryan suddenly says and from the way he sounded, he doesn't like her.

Oh wow! Sebastian has a childhood friend? This is going to be interesting.

“Why haven't I met her then? It's been close to a month since I've been here and I've not met her yet.”

“She traveled for something and would be back soon.”

So I guess she wouldn't know about me and the Luna position I've snatched already, I'm sure she is going to hate me.

“What's she like?”

“The only thing I can tell you is to be careful around her, she is sassy and dangerous. You can imagine how she was able to put up with Sebastian despite how mean and stubborn he was. That should explain how obsessed she was over him,” Ryan explained and I sighed.

The only thing I feel challenged about is that she is vigorous and tough and I'm just a weakling that's trying to build herself.

And the fact that every pack needs a strong, bold and courageous Luna to support their Alpha, I don't know if I should be bothered about this.

But since I'm carrying the future of the pack, it's a pass mark for me.

“Do you think Sebastian is attracted to her too?” I suddenly asked and Ryan sighed, I guess he was tired of my questions.

“I think Alpha Sebastian would provide answers to that. Can we put a pause to this discussion right now because Sebastian won't like seeing us converse like this? He might get the wrong idea,” Ryan said and I chuckled.

“Get the wrong idea? He should trust you as his Beta, he should know what you're capable of doing and what you can't do also.”

“Well, I guess you don't know how overprotective he can be over what's his. You should take a break Luna Ember, we are going to continue in the evenings.” Ryan suggested and I sighed.

I think I was kind of exhausted too, we were training effectively on him to increase my speed for hours and it was fruitless because I didn't show any sign of improvement.

“Okay then, I guess we will meet later.” Ryan said and bowed slightly before leaving the training field.

The training field was very large and contained a lot of equipment that would help me get better.

I decided to try out archery before leaving. I have never once hit the bulletin board no matter how hard I tried, I was so bad at it.

I took out an arrow and bow and took a stance, I then followed all the rules Ryan had taught me and shot at the board.

My face fell when the arrow went sideways and suddenly, someone spears from nowhere and catches the arrow.

I freaked out because I was the only one here and the person doesn't like Ryan.

The unknown person suddenly super speeds towards me in seconds and I froze in a spot.

I discovered it was a lady when the person got closer, she had red hair and one other thing that attracted me wss her beauty.

She had this evil smirk on her face as she eyes me from head to toe.

I suddenly felt this weird energy from her and I disliked her immediately, who was she?

“I can't believe Sebastian chose this weakling over me.”
