Chapter 45: Jeannie
After taking a long, meandering stroll with Gabe, letting Kira lead the way and even taking some time to talk a few things over, we finally head back to the packhouse and up to the apartment. Since there seems to be no one else there with us, not even Stella, Gabe decides to stay so we can chat a bit more. Addressing some of the barriers between us earlier was a good start, but he’s right that there’s still more I’d like to say to him. “Would you prefer to stay out here, or take this to your room so we can have privacy when the other Bentleys start to trickle in?” he asks, standing just beyond the living room.
