At 3:00 that day Maera started coming round from her sleep and remembered that they were on Sandry island she jumped out of bed

It was 3:00 pm and Moira had already woken up hungry and took a shower before she sat down and had a cup of tea and cakes, mrs. Ramond had prepared for them knowing they had slept through lunch hour."Moira' would you care to take a walk with John to buy some things that I would need for our dinner tonight?" "Of course !

mrs. Ramond it is my pleasure to look around the place while on the way to the shop.

Writting down the items needed to be purchased, mrs. Ramond called out to his 14 year old son John.John was playing with his remote car in his room,

" please accompany Moira to the shops and make sure you arrive back with her in 20 minutes time okay? They have plans to take a look around at the fish factory and I dont want them out when its late in the evening." " Yes mum." replied John a very obedient son and loved so much by his parents for his good characters and had high marks in his school test every year. So off they went.

Maera in her room was just coming round and remembering she was in Sandry island, jumped out of bed and rushed outside wondering where Moira was' 'mrs. Ramond seeing her from her open bedroom door, shouted out to her, to take shower while she prepares a cup of tea for her, feeling the need to take a shower was the first she needs to do, so she went back into her room and got her towel.

After the shower she felt so good and freshed up she went into the kitchen where mrs. Ramond had a cup of tea and some sweet smelling cakes just hot from the oven. Oooh yum yum I see your'e a wonderfull chef. Oh thanks for the compliment but I should thank your father for teaching me most of his recipes and I took them in my brains and now am serving my loved family with the gifts your dad taught me. I even extended it from the cookery books I bought when I travell to the city.

The girl's father has been the head of Chef in the British high Commisioner's Home and their mum was the Security advisor in the security force. The girls were lucky in life but were not as spoilt as other children of the civil workers in the Government divisions.They were well brought up and had their parents trust wherever they went.

As Maera listened attentively at their host telling stories of her past challenges and how she was pulled out of the hole and saved by their parents, Maera felt the great love and yearning for her fathers presence; suddenly a shout came from John " mum we're home" both in the kitchen started laughing "okay we're in the kitchen" Moira looked at Maera and smiled "are you ready?" "yes" Maera said' and "I have a surprise for you" Moira said and beconing to someone outside, both Maera and mrs.Ramond eyed each other confused' in came Saloz the boat driver, explaining while entering "your dad told me to come back and stay with you girls in case you might need the boat at any time. So for now, Im at your services." Oh good that would be more fun having you as escort will feel much more safer" says Moira, "and as we are going to have a look around the fish factory, you are coming with us okay?" "Yes at your services;" "oh come on Saloz theirs no Pa here so we can be friends on vacation okay?" "I dont know"Saloz replied. The 3 females laughed and mrs Ramond said "okay now go and be back before dark."

So they went on their plan to see the fish factory while mrs.Ramond stayed home with John.

The driver said he has as a kid lived there with his parents when his dad who was a teacher taught in the island's, primary school. So he knows all the places in the island. On reaching the port which the boat was moored the team continued walking following the lead of Saloz. After walking quite a while a house could be seen further ahead and as the team got nearer to the building it was a long biulding with many doors and Saloz explained as the quarters of the single factory workers' and further ahead are biuldings recognizable as quarters for labours who are married.

Then as the three passed the long house of single labours, whistles came shrieking, blowing out from the long house windows and when Moira and Maera looked at the windows no one was there' Saloz smiled and said " the men are always here on this island working and so whenever new girls arrive here they go crazy, but I see they are also shy' see they whistle but are hiding from view;" shaking his head as he smiled.

Then the factory stood out further ahead and its roaring noise so loud you couldnt hear what the other was saying so the conversations started to change to shouting at each other 'whats the cause of this noise ? shouted. Maera and Saloz said that is the generator that operates all the machines in the factory. And see. that great big biulding there thats the ice house which they store all their fishes inside.

Then they entered into the gate of the factory, and started taking a. look around inside. It took about 15 minutes to go through the whole factory and when they came out of the main factory, they went to the ice storage house it was like walking in a land of ice.
