Love Moon Alpha Maria

Flashback~~ I set up peering at the sky. Gazing at the stars as if it was my last time. Calmness settled in. The cold brisk air against my skin made me feel free. The earthy, a rainy smell filled my lungs, causing a sigh of relief. She placed her hand on my thigh. " You look too deep in thought becafeful you could hurt yourself." She teased in a loving and cocky way. Smiling, I look at her. " it's nothing to worry about, love," I reply. " You know we can't keep doing this." She shoved me. "Why can't we just have a nice night? Your overthinking will be the death of us, " She snapped. " Us being together can get us killed." Snapping back without realizing. She just looked down. I pulled her in, knowing it hurt her every time. Kissing her forehead before we start to get dressed. ~~Flashback ends~~ Unfortunately, it would be the last night I ever saw her. Felt her touch. Felt her lips on mine.I realized I had been dreaming of our last night together. The night we were spotted. I lost the love of my life that dreadful night when Alpha Scott Love appeared from the dark. He knew I wasn't in love with the man he had chosen for me. Hell, I didn't like men, period. I'm getting ahead of myself. I am the daughter of Alpha Scott Love. My name is Lady Maria Love, and I am proud to be the first lesbian Alpha of the Love Moon Pack. Don't let the name fool you. Love Moon Pack was anything but loving. My mother, Luna Bridget Love, was nothing like my father. She was sweet and loving. Only Goddess knows how she could love that man. My alarm wakes me for the daily Alpha training my father forces me to do. It's not so bad when his Beta Jack Owroot. His training method wasn't too bad. Slamming my hand on the alarm. I groan and roll on my back. Another night of that dreadful memory. Rubbing my eyes to forget. Never works, but one can try. Finally getting the strength to get out of bed, I head to the shower. Feeling the warm water against my body made me feel numb. Finally, letting my emotions win, I break down in the shower. Washing my face, I take a deep breath and continue to wash and clean the rest of my body. Shutting off the water, I could hear someone knocking on my door. "I'll be right out," I yelled. "You will be late for both training courses." Beta Jack yells back. It felt like a slap in the face. Both training courses. What the hell. Throwing my clothes on. which was boxers,sports bra, and my favorite pair of sweats. I hurried as I brushed my teeth. I wanted to find out what Jack meant by both training courses. I finished throwing my hair in a pony talk and jetted out the door. To my surprise, Beta Jack was waiting for me. Smiling like he had the best news. "You are the future Alpha are you not?" He asked with raised brows and arms folded as he looked at me. "Yes, I am the future, Alpha." I say not so enthusiastically. " Well, as future Alpha, you also need to train with your pack. So Today after our usual training you will be training with the pack. Lucky for you, it's not sparring day." Beta Jack explained with a little too much excitement. " Today I will go easy on you. I want you to run 10 laps around the territory. Do 100 sit-ups, 50 push-ups,50 squats, and 40 burpees, and you will be done with Alpha training for the day. Gives me and a few pack members time to set up the agility course for pack training." So that's why he is so excited. Our wolves loved agility day. Beta Jack was truly connected to his wolf. I just nodded and continued to walk with him to the pack kitchen. I wasn't hungry, so I continued to the territory borders. I was about 2 miles from the border. Finally arrived by one of the old oak trees we hide our clothes in before we shift. Before I could even take my shoes off, I got a text. It was from Bets Jack. Jack : No cheating by letting your wolf run. Crap how did he know. How was I supposed to run 10 laps around the territory without using my wolf. I wish I could just go back to bed. It's hard without our fated mate. She was taken away from us by my own father. I could hear my wolf whimpering at the simple thought of her mate. I hated that those memories started to return. Without realizing I had started to run. Running from the memories, from the pain, from being Alpha. As I race threw the heavily filled forest, my feet come crumbling from underneath me. Sending me flying straight into a raspberry bush. Crap this is going to hurt. Flying head first into the bush, my wolf Ema emerges and saves me. "You could pay more attention, you know," she taunted me. "Yeah, yeah, shut it," I reply. She just laughs. "Since I'm already out, I will finish the laps. I want to see what the new agility course will look like. And at your speed we will never get there." She explained. "Whatever, as long as it gets done, I won't complain. I'm nervous for you to be around the pack. You aren't a very social wolf. " I told her with concern in my voice. " An since our mate was taken, you have been more closed off." "You let him take our mate. I am angry with you, not our pack. If I could kill you, I would, but my life would end as well, so I am stuck with you." Hatred filled words she spat wasn't as worse as losing my love. She was right. It was my fault. I could have fought back more. my wolf blocks me out as she finishes the laps. We did not speak most of the laps. I was once connected to my wolf like Beta Jack and Drift his wolf. Ema and I were of mind, body, and soul. You think having someone living in you that you would be connected to all that already, but that's not the case. When you first learn to shift, you must have a connection to your wolf of any kind. Though you share a body, it doesn't fully mean you share a mind. Some rogue wolf's have lost touch with the human part of them, and their wolf takes full control. Others have lost touch with their wolf and only shift during a full moon. When our wolf is more aggressive and powerful making them lose control just for that night. Having no memory of what their wolf has done. Costing countless innocent human lives. This is why we demand that every young pup must attend and complete meditation and a core course before being allowed to shift. All courses must be completed before your 16th birthday. Most pups in this pack start as early as 4 years old. Finally finishing up the last lap of 10, Ema sniffs out one of our rival pack members in our territory. Followed by four more. There wasn't any meeting with my father today that I know of. Ema decided to trail after them and see what they were up to. Before Ema took another step, we heard a Forest trembling howl. That wasn't. It couldn't. We watched her…… that howl was…there is no way it could be. Ema starts to run faster than we have ever run toward that howl. I told Ema not to run in blind. Look before we leap. She just leaps. Out in the distance, we saw a beautiful cherry black wolf standing proud. Looking back at us with those chocolate colored eyes that are filled with love , lust, and anger. Mate, my wolf whimpered. How she was taken away from us. We felt the bond break. Suddenly, I get a sharp , painful thud in the back of my head. Everything goes dark. I don't feel my body hit the floor. I can't hear Emas voice. I felt so confused. I can smell my mate. I can feel my heart crying out for her. That's all there was. Just pain, confusion, darkness, and deep heartache. The darkness starts to dissipate after what seems like an eternity. Finally, I was able to hear Ema again. Feeling our bond once again. My beautiful wolf. I never thought I would miss her this much. Being separated from my wolf is like losing the best part of yourself. “Ema?!” I cry out to her. “Ema, what's going on? Where are we?” “Maria, calm down. You're safe. We are safe. I don't know where we are quite yet. I'm just coming too as well.” Ema tries to reassure me. Not knowing where we are doesn't really help. “Ema, can you sniff out our location? Does anything around you smell familiar to you? Since our vision is taking forever to come back, maybe our sense of smell can help.” Trying to stay calm. “Good idea.” Ema tilts her head up. “ We are at the place we last saw our mate. Right before Alpha Scott cut her down in front of us. I can still smell her blood on the ground.” Ema whimpers and tries to stand. Falling to her side as the feeling in our arms and legs are still numb. “I don't want to be here.” Ema cries to me. she tries to shift back so that I may be in control for a bit. Nothing is happening. We are stuck in our wolf form. Our hearing came back finally. We can hear the birds and the rustling of the wind in the trees. We can hear the crickets in the grass, the ants marching along the road. “Lady Maria!!! Oh, thank the Goddess you're alive. Just hang on, Lady Maria, we will get you help.” Beta Jack?? “What happened, Drift?” Ema asked. “Just rest, young wolf. All will be explained in time.” Drift replied with sympathy in his voice. Ema and I both black out again. But this time, I can feel Beta Jack lift my body off the ground and carry me back to the pack house. Unthinkable News Waking up in our pack hospital, my head is pounding. My mouth feels so dry. How long have I been here? What happened? my eyes finally adjust to the light in the room. Why are there guards by my door? Wait, this is the Alphas wing in the hospital. What is going on. My father isn't this giving. Even if my mother begged him. “Look who finally decided to wake up. How are you feeling? How is Ema?” Looking to my left is my Beta Sunshine Brickwood. She looks relieved but still very sad. Her eyes were swollen, and her skin was so pale. “What happened, Sunny? How long have I been here? The last thing I remember was getting hit in the head.” asking in a shaking voice. Before she can say a word, her eyes fill with tears. " Was there an attack on the pack? how many casualties?" I ask my Beta. " Easy on your Beta young Alpha, you just started leading this pack. you will need your beta by your side." Jack states walking in the room. His face is partly bandaged up. Half missing from the right side. "Alpha?!!" My eyes shoot open like a pair of ostridge eggs. Reality hits hard. tears fill my eyes. "What happened!?" "There was an attack on the pack house. Only the Alpha and Luna were killed." Sunny explained to me. "No one saw the attack coming. The intruders used old roads we no longer access." "we believe it was someone in our pack that betrayed our Alpha and Luna." said Jack." As of now, you are our packs, Alpha. They need guidance and resources that our pack members are still safe." Lowering my gaze to the ground, I just nodd my head. Asking both betas to leave me so I might have a moment alone. My mother is gone. tears streaming down my face. I can't believe my mother won't be there when I need girl talk. or to comfort me when my heart aches. it's true what they say. A mother is the keeper of her daughters secrets, and the healer of her heart breaks. My father won't be there to wake me for Alpha training. He won't be there to pick me up when I fall. like most little girls, I too dreamed of my father one day walking me down the ial to my beloved. Though my father and I didn't get along very well, I was still his little girl. although every inch of my being wanted to curl into a ball and grieve for the loss of my parents. My father's Beta was right now is not the time. After gathering myself I call in my Beta. "Has anyone started the arrangements for my parents?" was my first question. "Yes Alpha. The funeral arrangements are already in progress. your parents left specific instructions for ceremonies." My Beta replies. "very well. Now, let us focus on who attacked our packs Alpha and Luna and how they gained access to our territory." My voice filled with anger and heart ache. I know exactly who attacked our pack. I just couldn't tell my Beta yet. She could have killed me with my parents but she didn't. she left me is our spot. Ema " she wouldn't kill us. she saved us from the attack." "why just kill the aphla and luna?" I asked. "Aphla" Jack Calls to me. " we found tracks along meadows creek. They lead to dawning falls just our of our territory." "That's Black moons pack territory. I thought my father had an agreement to come to each other's aid?" my question doesn't taste right. Ema "what do you expect from Black moon pack? don't you remember the war with back moon pack?" unfortunately I did. The black moon pack went to every pack house looking for young pups to extinguish. we lost over 150 young pups. most weren't past 5 months old. My father retaliate after the loss of my brother. Both packs lost their Young ones. my mother placed the Alpha throat in her fangs demanding a stop to the war. Thus both Alphas Signed a treaty to aid each other. "Bring me my clothes. I need to see for myself and visit our neighbors. although they aren't going to admit to helping with the attack." lifting myself from the hospital bed. "I should make my present as Alpha known."
