Love That Made A Smile Stay On One's Face

Roman intended to wake Miles and Niall to get ready for school, but he was surprised to see Ethan sleeping beside Niall and hugging him.

Roman thought Ethan went straight to his home after pulling Ane to their room to talk.

Liana, who happened to be passing by because she wanted to wake Odette, giggled. Roman turned his gaze towards Liana to ask Liana why Ethan was still there.

"Niall asked him to read a story to him. Don't tell Miles about that, okay? Then he acted as if he was sleeping. Then you know, when Odette and I wanted to take him to my room, he fell asleep. Like real sleep, not pretending to sleep."

"Why not wake him up?"

Liana turned her gaze to her father, even though she was still walking. "That is a brilliant idea dad, Odette and I didn't think of it. Then I'll leave him to you."

Roman could hear Liana giggling as she entered Odette's room.

Roman nodded his head and went straight to the twins' room. The first thing he did was pick up Miles and pat him on the back to wake him up.

After he half-woke up, he then put Miles down.

Roman then sighed, smiling at Niall and Ethan.

"Dad," Miles called, rubbing his heavy eyes. "Why is Ethan sleeping in our room?"

Roman laughed. "He accidentally fell asleep in your room," said Roman, sliding Ethan's hand to his side. Roman bent down and slowly carried Niall so as not to wake Ethan.

Unlike his brother Miles, Niall immediately woke up as soon as he was carried. Roman immediately put him down.

Roman crouched in front of the twins while stroking their heads in turn. "Go take a shower. When you're done, go down to the dining table, we'll have breakfast."

Miles and Niall nodded. Miles immediately took his brother's hand to their bathroom. After they entered the bathroom and closed the door, Roman could hear their voices helping each other undress. There shouldn't be any more problems.

Still in a crouched position, Roman turned around, smiling at Ethan, still fast asleep.

Roman pulled the blanket up to cover Ethan's entire body except his neck and head. He patted Ethan's head before finally getting up.

And he found his daughters, Liana and Odette, grinning in the twins' doorway.

"He also has to go to the office, dad. Why not wake him up?"

Roman passed Liana and Odette with a faint smile on his face. "He didn't wake up as early as us. In half an hour, I will come here again and wake him up."

They both nodded.

"You guys better get ready too. We're going to be late-"

The three of them were startled by the sound of the alarm from Ethan's phone. Ethan was surprised and woke up from his sleep, then took his phone and turned it off. His eyes, which were still tightly closed, widened in surprise when he saw the time on his phone.

"Oh no, I'll be late!" he said as he got up.

Ethan was unsteady for a moment, and Roman had already taken steps in case Ethan couldn't keep his balance, but he quickly got back on his feet.

"Oh, Good Morning, Mr. Pearson, Liana, Odette. Sorry, I think I fell asleep here. I'll say goodbye. I have a meeting at eight this morning. See you guys."

The three laughed as they saw Ethan stumbling down the stairs and running towards his house.

Odette had only lowered her head while Liana periodically smiled in response to Roman's jokes. Her presence created this unpleasant atmosphere because Ane sat at the dining table with them this morning.

There was nothing unusual about it, even though she rarely had breakfast with other family members.

It's just that Odette and Liana feel they already know; if last night, Roman would have forgiven that woman.

Miles and Niall, whose giggling voices were heard from the stairs, suddenly fell silent when they saw Ane sitting at the dining table.

"Good morning, mom," said Miles.

"Good morning, sweetheart."

When Miles and Niall sat beside Roman, Ane turned everyone's attention to her by clearing his throat.

"Mom wants to apologize to all of you. Did you forgive me?" she said with a smile. Odette immediately responded with a lazy nod.

While Liana enthusiastically nodded her head. Roman smiled too.

There was no more conversation until they finished all the food on the table. Ane hastily stood up, and then she hugged Roman. Roman hugged her back.

"I've booked a treatment at the salon. I'll go right now, goodbye babe," she said with broad footsteps, leaving them all.

But Niall got off his chair. "Mom, you haven't hugged me yet!" he said, stretching out his hand.

"Oh sweetheart, I'm sorry. I'm in a hurry, bye! I love you!"

Niall's tiny lips curled up, but he smiled again when Miles hugged him tightly. "That's your hug, and I gave it!"

Niall also hugged his brother tightly.

Odette also seemed to be in a bad mood. She sighed with a lazy face, stood up, and put on her jacket.

"Let's get ready," said Roman, greeted by a nod by Liana, while Miles and Niall ran to get their bags.

After about fifteen minutes, they left the house, Miles and Niall already wearing their shoes, Odette with a black leather jacket and helmet in hand, while Liana with her sling bag and car keys.

Roman glanced at the window where Ethan usually peeked, and Roman didn't see him there. There are only two possibilities; maybe he wasn't looking anymore and was getting ready because he said he would be late earlier.

But Roman's question was answered so quickly when he saw Ethan, with his hair still tangled, walking in a hurry, he was accidentally hit by his car door.

"Ethan!"

Roman was surprised when Niall called Ethan. Ethan looked at Niall. But he didn't just reply to Niall's greeting.

"Hey, buddy!"

Ethan opened the gate of his house and ran to Niall while spreading his arms. Niall, who didn't expect to get a hug from Ethan, ran and screamed with joy, then hugged Ethan.

Roman got out of his car. He looked at Ethan, who smiled, welcoming Niall into his arms.

Besides that, Roman saw that Miles also didn't want to lose. He ran to his brother and Ethan. Of course, Ethan would happily hug Miles too.

"Ethan, you slept in my room last night, didn't you?" asked Miles.

Ethan glanced at Niall, who had just smiled. Finally, Ethan nodded his head. "Right, accidentally sleep in your room," he said.

"How can you accidentally sleep in our room, Ethan?"

"I don't know, and I don't remember it. Oh yeah, I'm in a hurry, there's a meeting at eight this morning, we'll continue this conversation later, how about it?"

The twins nodded their heads, and Ethan stretched out his arms again. "Then give me one last hug for this morning."

Ethan felt that the twins seemed to want to strangle him. They hugged Ethan too tightly.

When Ethan stood up, he saw Roman was already behind the twins. With a gentle expression, he looked at Ethan. Ethan smiled. "See you in my office! But don't come at 12 o'clock. I'm still in the meeting room."

Roman smiled. "It looks like I can't go to your office. I have a meeting at one in the afternoon."

"Then I'll go to your office. See you Mr, Pearson!"

"See you, Ethan."

Ethan ran to his car. He quickly started the car, not honking for Miles and Niall.

Meanwhile, Roman couldn't help but smile, even when Ethan's car was out of sight.

Of course, because he would always be on Roman's mind, the love that made that smile stay on his face.
