Chapter 10

Morning came and Alice woke up by the sound of her phone ringing, she grab her phone on the night table and picked up the call.

"Hello?" She asked.

"Well hello to you too Alice, but Wake up now! We have a busy schedule and your still sleeping, did you know how hard to make reservation on that expensive tourist sp--" Cassy who is rambling loudly was cut off when Alice ended the call.

Alice suddenly shouted and wondered how does her best friend s***h manager is so loud early in the morning, while she herself is still laying on the soft mattress.

"I hate you Cassy," she mumbled while getting up going to the bathroom to do her routine.

When she is finally all done, she check all of her things and goes out to her room to be met by Dawin who just locked his hotel room.

Both met with an akward silence but Dawin then spoke.

"How are you?"

"Huh?"

Dawin widened his eyes for a second then cleared his throat.

"I mean did the cleaners get rid of the centipede, are you now okay?"

Alice smiled, "Oh yes, and I'm fine but now I need to go, today I still have a photo shoot."

Both bid their goodbye's. Alice then goes directly to Cassy's room without knocking but she hurriedly have an horrified look on her face.

"What the! Cassy?! Je?! Why the f**k are you both kissing?!"

"Alice let us explain," Cassy said while still shocked from Alice's sudden shout.

"You should both definitely explain! Go there on the couch and explain all of these to me!"

"The hell, why's is your sister so loud?" Cassy whispered to Jeremy.

"The heck I don't know."

Cassy and Jeremy sits down while Alice is standing in front of them while arms is folded on her chest and glaring at them like a madman.

"Sis, no need to glare like that, well I can kiss her since she is my girlfriend," Jeremy said calmly.

Alice widened her eyes again and shouted, "What!"

"Stop shouting."

"I'm not!" But still Alice is shouting.

"Explain!"

"Okay fine, she's my girlfriend for almost 3 months, I courted her then she said yes, happy?"

Alice glared at them.

"Why you didn't tell me?"

"Maybe because your busy?" Cassy said finally.

"But we're always together?! Yet you still didn't tell me?!"

Jeremy and Cassy groaned loudly.

"Can you like stop shouting, what's wrong with our relationship?"

"Well nothing but congrats," Alice said while smiling widely and then walks to the bathroom because she needed to pee.

"Jeremy, does your sister have a bipolar disorder? One second she's mad then seconds later she's smiling, it's scary right?"

Jeremy nodded while both of them is staring at Alice's direction.

It's now evening and Alice is in her room, tired as hell as it was been a long day of photo shoot and she also did some video greetings. Well she doesn't really interacts with Dawin earlier as both we're busy as heck.

Now Alice decided to pack her things because all of them will go back to seoul tomorrow evening, well tomorrow it will be their free time before the flight, so Alice just packed before hand, hating to do things on last minute.

She decided to be more fashionable tomorrow because it'll be their last day and also their team decided to have a lunch altogether as also from their success on their work.

She decided to wear a black push up b*a covered with a white crop top see through shirt, and for the bottom a black short shorts, well don't her wrong, she's not trying to impress anyone, it's just that sometimes Alice wants to show her body and let people see her hard work especially for workout.

When morning comes, Alice then woke up and did her morning routine and finally changed her clothes because it is almost lunch time.

She did her hair in to a bun because her outfit for the top is backless so it means only the strap of her b*a can be seen because her crop top only has the fabric on the front. She then wear her black shades.

When she look at her self in the mirror, she can't help but to admire her body and take a picture of her self. She's been working out for years and seeing her body like this makes her satisfied.

Well if someone tries to harass her, well she knows how to fight as there was one time when she decided to learn taekwando and self defense because she knows being a celebrity, danger is always near, and look at her now she's a pro on fighting physically.

While on the other hand Dawin is contemplating on what to wear because of course he is a CEO and it is always his duty to make a good impression to the people.

He decided to wear a Black polo matched with a white shorts that reaches above the knee with black sandal, watch and of course his shades that he always loves to wear. He goes out in the room and goes directly to the restaurant where they decided to eat their lunch.

Alice was now walking in the hotel lobby and obviously all eyes is in her, not until someone approaches her and asks if he can take a picture with Alice as he recognized her as an actress and model in the industry.

While she was walking going to the restaurant people's eyes will automatically land on her as she was just so attractive on her outfit and plus the shades.

When the guard open the restaurant's door, all eyes was on her immediately, included her team.

When she was near the table, Cassy gasp.

"Wow it's seems like you didn't prepare for this lunch."

Alice just rolled her eyes and laugh sarcastically to Cassy.

"Wow Miss AC you looks sexy and beautiful on your outfit, not gonna lie, more better than the outfit you've wear on the previous photo shoots," a staff said while smiling at her. Alice just smiles and bows afterwards.

When she looks on her left she accidentally made an eyes to eyes to the man who stares at her darkly?

Well that was Alice thoughts to Dawin's stare to her, not until she heard a cough beside her.

"Okay, what the hell are you wearing?" Now it's Jeremy his older brother asks.

"Well obviously clothes?"

The others just laugh to their tactics.

"It's too revealing Ali, are you out of your mind?!" Jeremy whisper-shouted to her.

Alice rolled her eyes and said,"don't worry Je, I know what I do and what I wear, I'm aware of everything."

"Better be sis," Jeremy mumbled.

All of them eat happily while chatting here and there, while Alice didn't notice a certain male's stares to her, thinking on how to cover Alice's too revealing clothes.

Alice was now alone, wondering on the beach while also taking pictures on the view. She decided to sit down for a while in the sand, luckily it not crowded as she was now far from the resort and other establishments.

She was just staring at the beach not until she feels a presence beside her and when she turns her head on the side she widened her eyes.

"W-what are you doing here Dawin?"

"It's peaceful here."

A comfortable silence surrounds them, only the waves of the sea and the birds chirping can be heard, not until Dawin spoke.

"Why did you leave me?"

That got Alice off guard, she thought Dawin will ask some other question, this was she never expected.

"Why can't you answer huh? Is it so hard to speak, it's been 5 years Alice I've always come to wonder, what wrong with me that you left me, heck you didn't even left a letter. You have gone just like the air."

Alice promised to herself that she will never cry again, she needed to be strong.

"If I tell you, you'll get mad."

Dawin groaned frustratingly.

"I followed you here, because I know i'll be just the two of us right now, so asked you, b-but why can't you tell me?"

Alice sighed and finally looks at Dawin, as she was earlier facing the sea.

She was shocked for a second when she saw Dawin's expression, he was helpless, like he was so desperate, no, he's desperate to know the truth, but when she tried to speak about that, no words will come out from her mouth.

"Alice, the wedding is near if you want us to be in good terms, then tell me the truth or else."

Alice was also helpless, she badly wants to tell Dawin but no, she can't. If he will come to know the truth, he'll blame his company, he'll blame his father and when he will know that his family knows the truth about each and everything, Alice is so sure Dawin will get mad to them, and she of course doesn't want that thing to happen.

"I'm sorry."

Dawin change his facial expression in to cold one and smirk.

"That's what your good at, hiding everything, well I expect something good from you, but now it's gone, you can't tell me, then fine! I won't care anymore about that damn reason! Just so remember Ms. Anderson, I'll make this marriage happen and you!

You'll regret leaving and not telling me the truth, I'll make your life a living hell!" Dawin spats and stands up and leave the place as soon as possible.

Leaving Alice wide and shock. Internally she is scared, she regret not telling him the truth but she doesn't want him to be mad at his family. She now realize, this marriage will make her life miserable, but she will still do it as she loves Dawin more than anything and if that includes making her own life miserable then so be it, she is used to this and she'll face it as she was not a coward.

'I'm sorry love.' Alice thought heavily.

1 week passed like a flash and now they we're back on to their respective lives, they got back in seoul 1 week ago, after the talk Alice and Dawin had.

Dawin now got more colder, more worse that he did before when Alice was gone, his family is worried sick from his behavior but they never have the guts to ask him, scared he will lash out.

2 days ago, an employee was late for 2 minutes in a meeting and when he entered the conference room to see Dawin speaking at the front, he was shocked when Dawin shouted,

'your fired!'

The man can't do anything but to forcefully leave the company as Dawin was mad or more like furious every each passing days.

"Alice 4 days to go and it'll be your wedding day, and now this happened, what did you two do in boracay that make Dawin turn in to this?!" Pia asks frustratingly.

Pia was frustrated, Dawin got more colder, Alice doesn't seem to be herself and she knew the both of them did talk in the island and it turns out pretty badly.

"We talk."

Pia nudges Alice to continue.

"I-can't tell him the truth, he wants me to be miserable!" Alice said and sobbed.

Pia stared at her worried and immediately rubbed her back for some comfort.

"Don't be, you have reason for that Alice and what ever it is please don't ever feel guilty."

Alice was still crying hard, luckily both of them are in Alice's apartment as Pia came here unannounced as she wants answer but instead she was now comforting Alice.

After some time of comforting, Pia decided to cook for Alice and fed her as she was nowhere have the guts to ear as she was just sniffling while seating on the couch.

Alice thought when he will see Dawin after 5 years, she will get back to him again, but maybe faith have other plans as she experienced this, pain and guilt was eating her out even though it was none of her fault as she was just asked by Dawin's father 5 years later.

She followed his favor as she only wants the only best for Dawin, but she never thought it'll turn out this worse.

The wedding is near yet the bride and groom where nowhere in to the word excited and thrilled, one feels pain and agony while the other one just wanted to make revenge and make the other's life miserable, even though he still love her.

But love hurts as they say.

Finally the wedding day has come, but Alice was still on her bed, sleeping peacefully.

She groaned when the sunlight peeks through the curtains and curse in head multiple times for always forgetting to close her curtain every night.

She was stretching her body when her eyes pop out of socket when she remember what day is today.

'My wedding day,' she thought.

Well how nice to imagine that today is her wedding day and she will be tied forever to her love of her life, but sorry to break it as it was all just an imagine.

Today Alice and Dawin will be tied with each other, how funny, in the past, both thought when they will marry each other it'll be the most happiest day of their lives, but what do we call it now?

A dreading wedding day.

Alice forcefully gets up and did her morning routine, the wedding will take place in the afternoon and as for now, Alice and Dawin needs to go to hotel that was designated for the bride and groom.

Alice firstly arrived in the hotel and she was respectfully greeted by the guard and staff.

She used the elevator and press the 20th floor. She was so nervous today, her wedding vow is still not decided as she can't seem to think of anything.

She was deep in her thoughts that she didn't notice the elevator stopping at 20th floor.

She goes out and enter the room we're cassy, Pia and her family we're waiting for her along side with the make up artist.

She knock on the door to be greeted by Pia who is smiling brightly.

Alice groaned at Pia's face, but Pia just laugh and motioned her to enter the room.

Alice sat down in front of the make up table while the make up artist started to do her work.

"Aren't you excited sis?" Jeremy asks Alice.

"To be wedded to someone who doesn't love me? Maybe?" She said and take a glance at her family and Pia who looks at her with pity.

"Stop with the faces guys, Grandpa wants this then I'll do it."

Dawin also arrived in the hotel and he was welcomed by Oliver who is smiling brightly while Lisa was just staring at him blankly.

"Let's go," Lisa said a little bit harsh.

"I'm sorry about that Dawin it's just that she's disappointed."

Dawin just smirk and said, "Do I look like I care?"

Oliver widen his eyes and remembered how Dawin turned in to more harsh person in the past few days.

He just sighed and prayed to the above to make things more better. The three of them ride the elevator going to 19th floor, yes 19 floor, Pia decided to separate Dawin and Alice in both next floor.

It's now one in the afternoon and the guest had already arrive in the church there is also a lot of reporters and photographers waiting in front of the church, as today marks the wedding day of the famous Celebrity Ac, and the Successful youngest business man, Dawin Marquez.

Alice is still in the hotel room with her mother and brother and cassy. While Pia left an hour ago to visit her brother as Mrs. Marquez called Pia earlier that Dawin doesn't cooperate with them which pissed Pia to the core.

Pia barged in to Dawin designated room to witness Dawin in the couch, using his phone.

"Dawin! What the hell it's almost time yet you are here doing nothing."

Dawin rolled his eyes and muttered something under his breath but Pia knows it well that he is cursing at her right now.

"Your wedding vows? Did you prepare it already?"

"That's the problem Pia," her mother said.

"Well your a imbecile Dawin."

Dawin glares at Pia for that.

"Shut up! The hell I don't care about this wedding, this was just a day full of s**t!"

Lucas and Mae looked at Pia helplessly.

"Fine I guess? Well do what you want f**k s**t, but remember all of this! You'll regret it," then Pia goes out, not forgetting to slam the door loudly.

After a while of silence the room door opened to be greeted by the wedding coordinator who is smiling, unaware of the heavy tension in the room.

"Sorry to disturb, but Sir Dawin you need to go down, the car is ready and you'll be going first to the church."

Dawin poke his inner cheek and nods at the woman, gesturing her to go out.

'Well s**t is about to happen,' Dawin thought.

Dawin then fist arrived in the church accompanied by his mother and father as Pia decided to stay with Alice and not with Dawin as she was still pissed by Dawin's behavior.

When Dawin goes out in the car, people and the media takes a picture of him, some also asking him what did he feel for today as finally he will be getting married especially he will be wedded to the one of the famous artist in the country.

Dawin just ignored them and directly entered the church as it holds more security there. Chosen media was the only one allowed to enter the venue alongside with professional photographers hired by the Marquez.

Dawin then stood in the Aisle, for a while, he closes his eyes, 'this is it.' He thought.

He thought before, getting married to Alice will be the most happiest moment in his life but right now all he wants is just to run away and escaped this shitty problem, but he knows he never wants to disappoint his grandpa, as he knows he is watching them from above.

Dawin then thought before to give Alice a second chance as long as she will tell him the while truth, but it all vanished when he realized that Alice will never tell him the truth.

He was back from his thoughts when his mom whispered to him that Alice arrived and the ceremony will start minutes later.

Alice on the other hand was nervous as heck, but thanks to her family she gain the courage to let this wedding happen and will not make it a flop.

"Ali, I'll be the one who will walk with you to the aisle," Jeremy said while smiling at Alice lovingly as he can't believe that his younger sister will be finally marrying someone.

Jeremy hugged Alice tightly knowing Alice deep inside, wanted his father to walk with her but that is impossible as their father is a bastard who hurt their mom and destroy the family before.

Alice's mom looked at her son and daughter with proud eyes as she knows she succeeded on taking care of them while growing up, as now she see that both of her children is now all grown up.

"My babies, that's for later and for now get ready as 5 minutes the ceremony will start."

Both of then nodded while Pia and Cassy just hug Alice.

When the door finally opened, Alice's grip on Jeremy's shoulder tightened and Jeremy who didn't fail to notice it just patted her waist and smiled at her, mouthing that she can do it.

When both of them walk going to the aisle, Alice then looked at her surroundings and she can see some of her colleagues smiling at her, while some celebrities we're also there.

Business mans we're also there and also we're shock that Alice and Dawin will marry each other as they never see Dawin before telling them that he have a girlfriend.

When Alice and Jeremy reached the aisle, Alice hesitantly looked at Dawin but to her dismay, Dawin was just wearing a poker face, no emotions can be read and Alice was devastated to the core, nonetheless acted that she is fine when in reality she's not.

"Take care of her bastard or else," Jeremy said to Dawin but the last sentence was whispered but Alice and Dawin heard it clearly as crystal.

Dawin just nods and takes Alice hands.

Both of them feel sparks as same as before when they we're still together but both of them ignore it, knowing this time is not the right time to remember the past.

Then the priest started talking while Alice suddenly glanced at Dawin who is also looking at her.

"Don't do anything stupid," Dawin mumbles to Alice and Alice just absent-mindedly nods, feeling shivers from Dawin's tone.

Now it's time for their vows and Alice was never been so nervous in her whole life as the vow she prepared will make Dawin and their family shock.

Luckily Dawin was the first one to say his vow and Alice and their family we're so curious on what he will going to say, but they know for now, Dawin will not say some things that will ruin the wedding.

"A-alice, today is the day that finally we will be one, and I promise to be with your side and I'll not let anyone hurt you, I belong to you and you belong to me, this day marks the feelings we have for each other will grow more. I may not be in your expectations as an perfect husband, but I'll do my best to reach your expectations. I vowed to love you and cherish you forever," Dawin said while looking straight to the eyes of Alice who teared up, but what Alice didn't notice was the evil glint Dawin has on his face.

Alice thought Dawin forgave him but she was wrong when Dawin grips her wrist tightly that she almost whimpered luckily she was pro on hiding it.

"Isn't it a little off, I can't feel sparks?" Cassy whispers to Jeremy as their family noticed the way Alice and Dawin became silent for a while not until the priest cough.

Then Priest gestured Alice to continue, and this is it, the day the people will know.

"L-love."
