Chapter 7

"So now, were all here, let's get straight to the point."

"Alice, dad gave us something before he passed away," Lucas says.

But then Alice remembered it.

"Oh I know that dad, I was there in the hospital when that happened."

"Okay I get it, and Alice thank you," Lucas says while sipping his champagne.

"So what I am supposed to do about the letter Grandpa gave to you?"

Mae then decided to talk now.

"Alice, honey, you play the biggest role in that letter."

Now Alice got more confused.

"What do you mean?"

"Hon, grandpa wants you to marry Dawin."

Alice froze, she was like struck by a thunder by that sentence, She can't marry Dawin just like that, she did a mistake before, and she knows Dawin doesn't still forgave her.

She and Dawin saw each other again for the first time in five years, yet they didn't still talk about that matter as they both know everything will not be good.

"Dad, mom I can't."

The three of them just sigh then Mae decided to talk again.

"Alice, were not being selfish but can you please try to think again, I know you know, if Dad wants something to happen, it'll eventually happens. We don't want to pressure you but please Alice, try to think again."

"I'm sorry," Alice says and she gets up on the chair and walked away.

"Don't worry mom and dad I'll try to talk to her."

"Yes please Pia, but please don't try to Pressure her."

Pia just nods to them and they all decided to just go home and rest as today was a hectic day.

On the other side of the city, Dawin was still in his office, but he was not there working or signing some papers, rather he was in the secret room, sitting on a sofa staring at the picture frame He was holding.

'I can't marry her just like that, I suffer the most here, yet I was just forced to marry her.'

"Why would you leave me hanging Alice?"

"Is my love not enough for you?"

"If I'll marry you then I'll seek reveng--"

Dawin widened his eyes in realization, if he will marry Alice then he can have his revenge for leaving him all alone.

He smirk and praises himself.

'Not a bad idea Dawin, seek revenge for yourself, the way they all played with your feelings, the time when they lied to you.'

Then he speaks to himself.

"the wedding must go on."

After 1 week, dawin's mother decided to have a dinner, as they will also talk about the marriage proposal with Dawin and Alice.

The day after Dawin agreed on marrying Alice, his family and friends were obviously surprised because they all thought he will never agreed on this proposal.

When Alice gets the news of Dawin agreeing on the marriage, she feels something is wrong but nonetheless, she just shrug it off, as always.

"Alice, are you sure you will agree on this marriage, you know they will understand you if ever you will back out," cassy said while applying make up to Alice.

"Hm, maybe this was the only way, for the both of us to reconcile."

"Okay, I trust you on this. But if ever he will do something that you never like, just call me or tell me."

"Got it, but you know I'm still nervous for the outcome on this."

Finally Alice arrived in a seven star restaurant, where the dinner will be held, she was just clutching on his handbag tightly because of nervousness.

Click, click, click

Even the heels she's wearing it was making her more intimidating but in reality she's not, she's just a girl who is broken for years but still fight just to get him again but it seems so impossible now. He's near, yet for her, he's far...

"Good Evening Miss Alice, they are here already, and waiting for you," the girl said while bowing to Alice.

"Hmm I can do this," she whispers to herself.

And when the girl opens the big door Alice became more tensed but she professionally hide it to herself.

"Alice it's been a while," Dawin's mother said to Alice while going to hug her but suddenly, Alice steps backwards and avoid the hug and the people on the table seems shock for her doings.

"Hmm well she changed, she seems rude," Dawin said while sitting in the front table while glaring at Alice.

"Dawin don't worry, and don't be like that, come on Alice sit beside Dawin cause it's the only chair which is not occupied," Dawin's mother said while also glaring at the man called Dawin.

Alice became mad a little to Dawin because how dare He embarrass Her.

Everyone greeted Alice happily except for a one man but Alice didn't mind for now.

For now she's happy because she's sitting beside Him, first time in 5 years.

"Well let's go straight to the point well I want to tell you, you two we'll be married in one month," Lucas, Dawin's father said.

"One month!?" Both Alice and Dawin said at the same time.

For Alice she's beyond shock because it was just too fast.

But for the boy named Dawin well now he was glaring daggers to his mom and dad who is smiling to the both of them.

"Mom, Dad I need to talk to Alice privately, so if you may excuse us?"

"Yes of course go on, don't worry we'll wait here till your done, cause we will also eat dinner."

When Dawin dragged Alice to the balcony, Alice was groaning in pain on the way Dawin just drag her harshly without saying anything.

Dawin let go of Alice while Alice was holding her wrist because of the pain.

"I know how to f*****g walk, and no need to drag me here with your f*****g hands!"

Dawin widen his eyes when he saw the red mark that was in Alice wrist, he feels guilty all of the sudden but decided to just hide it.

"I don't care, and now were here let's talk."

"Tsk, what do you want?"

"Why did you agreed in this marriage?"

Alice got caught off guard cause of the sudden question.

"Maybe I should be the one asking you that. Dawin why did you agreed on this wedding?"

"Don't turn the table Alice, I ask you, you will answer me and then I'll answer your question then."

"Fine, I agreed on this because maybe this is the only way for us to reunite or reconcile again."

But all of the sudden, Dawin laughs. Rather Alice should smile on it, she feels the sarcasm in laugh so she narrows her eyes to Dawin.

"R-reconcile, HAHAHAHAHA, are you out of your mind? After all this years, you want the both of us to reconcile, o my god Alice your now funny, remember what you did to me, you left me all alone, when I needed you, where the hell were you huh? Tell me do you really love me before, did you know that all this years I've been asking myself if there is something wrong with me and why did in the world you'll leave me, A-alice, I needed you, your hugs, your scent, ALL OF YOU I NEEDED IT! But why did the hell did you leave?!"

Now Dawin is shredding tears.

This was not on the plan to himself, all the words he said earlier it was never his intention, but maybe because of the pain he feel all this years, he just want to let it out.

Alice tried to hold Dawin's hand but he yanks it off.

"No,no,no. I'm so sorry Dawin, but everything has a reasons, I'm sorry I just can't tell you now."

Alice was crying but she still decided to talk.

"Tsk, pathetic, I know you will never tell me Alice, so leave your excuses, and the wedding must go on, because you! Will surely regret all the things you've done to me!"

And with that Dawin walks away, while Alice was crying hardly while still holding the railings in the balcony.

The last sentence Dawin told her, was so painful.

'Because you will surely regret all the things you've done to me!'

When Dawin is back, his parents gave him a questioning look.

"Dawin where is Alice?" His mom asked.

"Don't worry she's okay, and I need to go, just tell her that she will be the only one who will prepare the wedding, cause I am not interested on it," he said and after that he walks out.

"What? I guess their talk earlier doesn't seem so good."

Before Lucas can talk Alice appeared in front of them while smiling, but it's so obvious that she cried because of her swollen eyes.

"Darling I'm sorry on behalf of Dawin, I know or We know it didn't turn out good earlier, but we promise that you will be with Dawin again."

"Mom I know it's impossible now, he's loath me now, unlike before it's all rainbow and unicorns but what now, all of those it was all memories now."

"It's my fault Alice, I didn't know it will turn out this bad just because of a company rule, I experienced it before with Mae, but luckily it didn't turn out as bad as your situation with Dawin right now," Lucas said while giving Alice sympathy look.

But then Pia asked suddenly.

"Why not tell Dawin the reason why you left Alice, I know he will understand it."

Alice then sighed.

"It may look easy, but I know Dawin, he will blame Dad or even else the company, Yes I can tell him the truth even right now, but how about it's consequences."

"Your right but how about you, you will be hurt, and I know that Alice."

"By the way where is he?" Alice asked suddenly.

"He left already and I'm sorry for that, and Alice I would just like to inform you that your marriage proposal will be announce in public tomorrow, if that is okay with you?"

"Yes Pia, it'll be okay, but I don't know how about Dawin?"

"I told him that yesterday but unluckily he just shrugged it off."

"Oh okay, atleast he knows."

It's now 8 am in the morning and Alice just woke up, she get her phone but She widened her eyes when she saw a lot of notifications bombarding her phone.

She goes to social media and an Article caught her attention.

"Famous Actress AC and Famous CEO of MQ Incorporation Dawin Marquez are expecting to be Married next month."

For other couple they should be obviously happy but for Alice, she feels something that is odd, before when they are still together with Dawin, if this news was announced publicly she will surely be happy, but right now she feels she should not be happy because she knows Dawin doesn't love her anymore but she can't do anything now because it was announced publicly.

When she checked her account, she was right, the news spread like a wildfire, the whole country now knows the news.

When Alice arrived in Marquez mansion, she was nervous again because she knows Dawin is inside.

"Good Morning Ms. Ac."

"Oh just call me Alice, by the way is mom and dad waiting for me?"

"Oh yes mam, Mae and Lucas are waiting for you already along side with Pia and Dawin."

"Okay thanks."

Before she could go the Maid call her again.

"By the way Mam, congratulations for you and Sir Dawin, I didn't expect for all those years your still in to each other."

"Haha, thanks I guess?"

Alice now entered the Mansion and she was greeted by the Marquez Family, obviously except by Dawin.

"Finally you came, I thought you changed your mind darling."

"Nah, it's just really traffic going here, by the way shall we start?"

"So the boquet, any type you like?" Mae asked first.

"Um," Alice wanted to say White Roses, and Lilac but she remember it was the same type of flower She and Dawin both wanted before.

"Maybe she wants, White roses and lilac," Dawin said, while drinking his wine.

"Well how do you know? Are you Alice?" Pia asked.

"Well that's the type of flower we both planned and wanted befo---"Dawin widened his eyes when he realize what he said.

"Oh, well that's good, tsk how nice you both planned it already," Pia said teasingly but Dawin stands up.

"Just do all you want, reserved what you want, I have to go. Hell I don't care about this wedding," but he mumbles the last sentence but unfortunately the other three still heard it.

"Dawin!" Mae said loudly that Lucas, Pia and Alice flinched.

But Dawin leaves before her mother could talk.

Alice tried her best not to cry, she looks up in the ceiling while closing her eyes, when she feel someone hugged her.

"Don't worry Alice, Dawin will change, I'm sure about that."

Now Alice cried while facing Pia.

"Can't you all see, he hated me now. Did you all know before when we were still together, we imagine our wedding to be grand, my bouquet that consist of White Roses and Lilac, the wedding it was the happiest, but what happened now, why is this marriage seems like dull, yes it was for sure grand but it is not happy, there's no love!"

When Alice said that, the tree of them tried their best not to feel guilty, after all this things happened just because of a company rule, that still now Dawin didn't know.

"I-I'm sorry, maybe we'll continue this on the other day."

Alice decided to leave because she can't think right now, but when she goes out She widen her eyes.

Dawin was there, staring at her. Alice can clearly see a stain of tears on Dawin's cheek but she gulps and mumbled coldly.

"I'm sorry, I know you hear what I said over there and just forget it."

She then excused herself.

When Alice was out of sight, Dawin kicks the vase that was displayed outside the door.

His frustration is really killing him, if he didn't just mentioned the bouquet earlier, maybe now they were still talking about the preparation for the wedding, well don't get him wrong, yes he was forced in this marriage, but as a formal person he is, he wants things to be done properly just like earlier, the purpose of the meeting is for wedding preparation, but just in a one sentence everything was ruined.

After a while Dawin then decided to just go to the company as it was still morning and he have some files to sign.

On the other side of the city, Alice is shooting a drama, fortunately this is the last episode of the drama and after that, she will be proceeding as the new model of Quez wear.

"Alice, can I talk to you?" Cassy asks.

"Hm, why?"

"What happened to you, why is the director not satisfied on the scene you just have shoot? Is something bothering you?"

"The wedding preparations."

"Oh, He doesn't care right?"

Alice smiled.

"You know me well Cassy."

"Ha, of course I've been with you for 4 years, even before you became an artist."

Alice just laugh a little and lay down on the sofa in the dressing room.

"Alice, rest first, I'll just wake you up when it's time for the next scene."

"Thank you Cass."

"I 've never expected it'll be worse."

"Alice the flowers and designs are already decided as what you said yesterday, we just needed to choose whether you and Dawin like church, or beach."

"Maybe just ask him about it, I already choose the design and the flowers, you know we can't both decide as you know the reason already."

Pia then patted Alice's back and smiled.

"Just tell me what you like."

"Truth to be told I want the beach wedding, you know something different."

"Oh okay, I'll just ask later Dawin."

"Hmm."

It was already 8 pm and Dawin is still working on his office, not until someone barges in.

"Can't you knock first?"

"I'm older than you so no."

"Well then what are you doing here?"

Pia then sits on the couch and drink her latte.

"Venue."

"Huh?" Dawin was now confused.

"Where do you want it, church or beach?"

Flashback

"Love."

"Hm? Something wrong?"

Dawin grabs Alice's waist and hugs her from the back.

"I know I'll marry you in the future, and I just wanted to know where do you wanted it to be held?"

"Oh, hahahahaha is that why your zoning out earlier because your thinking about that?"

"Hmm."

"Um, I wanted it to happen in a beach, you know nature, like they are also the witness on the day we'll be finally one."

"Okay! Beach wedding it is!"

"O my god, can you stop, your always making me blush."

End of flashback.

"Dawin."

"Dawin!"

"What?"

"Your f*****g zoning out again, can you atleast listen of me for once."

"Sorry I didn't mean to." Dawin then closes his eyes.

"It's about her right, it's seems like the both of you planned it before."

"Hm, I hate the fact that you know me so well."

Pia stands up and goes directly to Dawin and hug him tightly.

"Don't worry my brother, everything will be fine, just go with the flow hm."

"It's hard especially now, we're getting married but it was not the plan I made before."

Pia kisses Dawin forehead and says,

"I know you still love her, no need to deny it, I can see it but please be careful your my brother and if anything happens to you again I don't know what will I do."

"Thank you, and please get off me, we're not in emo time right now."

"Tsk, your still a bastard, so what now?"

"Church."

"She said she wanted beach."

"Well now it's different," Dawin said frustratingly.

"She told me the venue will be up to you because she already decided the designs, foods and others and she said she felt bad knowing you didn't choose anything."

Dawin just smirks.

"Tsk, as if."

It's been two weeks after Dawin and Pia talked to his office, the wedding preparation were fortunately settled, also the venue that Dawin choose. When Alice discover that Dawin wanted the wedding to happen in the church she felt sad, because she believes Dawin already forgot their promise before, well she thought.

Alice is now in MQ incorporation, she was called by her team that there will be an urgent meeting about the new clothing set Quez wear just released.

Alice is walking through the hallway going to the meeting room when she suddenly bump in to a girl who is wearing a revealing clothes.

"The fu-- oh my god AC, I'm such a fan of yours."

The girl moves to hug Alice but Alice unfortunately steps back because she doesn't like the aura of the girl.

"Um I guess thank you?"

"Oh, What are you doing here by the way?" the unknown girl asks.

"I am Quez wear's endorser."

"Oh, sorry I didn't know I just came back from europe as I am a famous social media influencer."

'The hell I care?'

Alice wants to say it loud but she knows the girl in front of her will talk back.

"Um sorry miss but I needed to go because I have an upcoming meeting," Alice didn't wait her reply and walk directly to where the meeting room is.

After 1 hour the meeting have finally ended and the people from the meeting room starts to go out and continue the work they have did 1 hour ago.

"Alice."

"Yes Cassy?"

"Um, there is this document I needed to give to the CEO but the problem is I needed to do some errands and I hope you could give it to him on his office?"

"Oh sure don't worry."

Alice then walks going to Dawin's office, she decided not to knock and opens the door, when she entered the office she drops her bag and the document she's holding.

There she saw Dawin, in his office chair kissing the girl she saw 1 hour ago.

When Dawin saw Her he immediately pushes the girl who winced in pain as her face goes straight to the ground.

"What the hell Dawin?!" the girl said, but then she saw Alice.

"Aw, Ac I thought your just a secretary that's why I still keep kissing Dawin's lips, you know couple thin---"

"Get out now!" Dawin said coldly to the girl.

The girl seems taken back from Dawin's voice and runs fast as she could because she already knows how Dawin would get mad.

Alice who is still wide staring at Dawin, didn't notice herself she drops her tear.

Dawin saw Alice tears and immediately moves to Alice.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't kiss her ba--"

"No it's okay, it's not like were still together, I'm not even your friend, hahaha, heck you didn't treat me as one."

Dawin now feels so guilty. But Alice continued.

"But please have some respect Dawin, your getting married yet you still go around with another women, I understand you don't like this fix marriage at all, but atleast try to respect grandpa's last wish."

Flashback

Alice was just walking happily going to the Dawin's classroom, but stopped on her tracks when she saw Dawin with a girl, and the girl is kissing Dawin's neck.

"A-alice."

Dawin can't process anything so he did what comes first on his mind and pushed the girl aggressively that makes the girl hit her head on the wall.

"Dawin I'm sorry I didn't know you have a girlfriend already."

The girl apologizes.

"Yes I f*****g told you to stop w*****g around me, thank god your a girl or else I might do something that surely I won't regret."

The girl became scared on the way Dawin talks so that's why she run.

"Love, she forced me, please love answer me."

Dawin is getting nervous because Alice was just staring at nothing and her tears won't stop flow.

"Love, please don't be like that, I'm scared please Love."

"I-I wanna go home," she said without any emotions and still staring at unknown.

"I'll drive you love come on."

Flashback ends.

Dawin closes his eyes because he knows what happened before will surely happen now.
