Chapter 13

"So who is it?" Dawin asks coldly.

"It was VG company who did it, apparently, one of the employees here, stole the design and sell it to the VG company, well he sell it for a high price and don't worry the said employee, I already talked to him and he also voluntarily resign, well he is guilty so that's why."

Dawin rubbed his temple frustratingly and sigh.

"Why would he sell it though, my salary for my employees it's actually bigger compared to any other company."

Oliver rolled his eyes and said, "Your bragging again, well he's son is sick and you know what's next."

"So he needs more money?"

Oliver nods and after a while he bid goodbye to Dawin as he have also work to do.

It's now midnight and Dawin and Alice is both now in the house, Dawin was busy analyzing an important deal on the dining table and Alice who have no idea about it decided to put a glass of mango shake beside the paper as she was making mango shake.

But when she turned around, she accidentally drag the glass with her hand, resulting for it to spill on the paper Dawin was reading seriously.

"WHAT THE f**k?!"

Alice widen her eyes and started to wipe the shake with a tissue.

"O my god I'm sorry!"

Dawin grab her wrist harshly and twisted it slowly.

Alice whimpered in pain and unconsciously start to cry.

"You did it on purpose right?!"

"No Dawin, please it was an accident, please l-let go, i-it hurts!"

Dawin smirk and twisted her wrist more.

"It should hurt! That document you have just spilled is very important! You! You always ruin everything, your useless, What are you gonna do now, dry it?! Huh, you b***h don't ever come near me!"

Dawin freed Alice wrist, which left a big purple bruise that resulted Alice to sobbed hardly while clutching her wrist and from the harsh words Dawin just spat at her.

Dawin slammed his hands at the table and afterwards left going upstairs.

Alice sobbed and sobbed and after a while she also went upstairs going to her room as she was very tired and her wrist hurts badly that she just wanted to sleep.

Dawin on the other hand is in his room, he was just sitting on the lower part of the bed and sigh.

'Your a fucktard Dawin, you hurt her! You left a big bruise on her wrist.' Dawin thought, scolding himself from what have just happened.

After a while of scolding of himself, he didn't notice he just have fell asleep.

Morning came like a flash, and Alice was now wide awake but she doesn't have the heart to get up as her wrist still hurts like hell. Remembering what happened yesterday night, Alice wanted to cry again but she controlled herself as she doesn't want to shed tears early in the morning.

But Alice needs to work so she unwillingly get up and did her morning routine, today she needs to go to MQ Incorporation as she will be having a photoshoot for the Quez wear as it just release a new collection of clothes.

She heard yesterday afternoon that she will be having a partner later on for the said photoshoot.

She wear a turle neck longsleeves matched with a highwaist pants and red heels. She didn't do a heavy make up as her make up artist will do it later on.

When she was all done, she went downstairs and ate her own breakfast, luckily Dawin still didn't went out from his room so Alice was a little faster on eating her breakfast than usual.

When Alice went out from the house she goes straight to the garage and opened her car, but when she open the engine surprisingly it went off immediately.

Alice groaned when she realize that the car is broken.

"For all times, why now?!"

Alice tried to open it again but the same thing happened again.

"There's no taxi here, what I am supposed to do?" Alice says frustatingly.

When she was going to start the engene again, she saw Dawin walking towards his car.

'It is not bad to ask for a ride right?' she thought.

She goes out in the car and cough to get Dawin's attention.

"Um, Dawin?"

When Dawin heard his name from Alice he look to his side to see Alice.

"What?" He asks coldly as possible.

Alice didn't mind the cold voice because she just really needs a ride as she is late.

"My car has some problems, um? Can I perhaps take a ride with you, going to your company?"

Dawin understood what she meant and he just smirk.

"After what you have done yesterday, you still have the guts to talk to me like you did nothing on spilling your stupid shake in my important documents?"

Alice felt trash when Dawin talked to her like that but she needs to go to the company now so she let it pass by for now.

"Please?" Alice ask timidly.

"Your stupid and useless, mind your own business and for your information I will never will take a ride with you, your a trash," Dawin saod while getting in the car.

A tear drop from Alice eyes when Dawin said those words, it was painful, no, super painful for a fragile person like Alice, she just wants a lift but what did she get?, some harshful words coming from her very own husband who seems not to care at her at all.

Alice wiped her tears and decided to call Cassy.

"Hello?" Cassy said on the other line.

"Um, cassy are you now in the company?"

"Oh yes, Alice, by the way we're are you now?"

"That's the problem, Cassy m-maybe perhaps can you fetch me here in the house?"

"What happened to your car by the way?"

"It needs repair and I'm getting late now."

"Okay, okay I'll go in there just wait for me okay?"

Alice sigh in relief and thanked Cassy and both hung up the call.

When Alice arrived in the company, the employees greeted her and she also greet back.

She and cassy went to the studio and when they enter the studio both was met by a women who is wearing an elegant clothes and Alice found out instantly that this will be her partner for the shoot.

"Oh, Miss Ac! Hello, I am Kiara your partner for todays photoshoot and I'm really a big fan of you," Kiara said while gesturing Alice for a hand shake.

Alice gladly accepted it, and after that she heard someone shouted her name at the back."

"Alice!" Pia said while smiling at Alice.

Alice hugs her while Kiara was amazed by Alice as she was close by the sister of the CEO.

And here's the thing, Kiara didn't know that Alice is Dawin's Wife and Pia's sister in law.

"What are you doing here Pia?" Alice asks confusingly.

"Well I'm literally bored, so why not join you for todaycs photoshoot, I wanna see you pose like an literal model."

Alice laugh and the make up artist called her to start her make up right away.

Kiara was done on her make up as she arrived a little early than Alice.

After a while, Alice was done on her make up and she went out in the dressing room.

But she halt on her steps when she saw Dawin walking towards them.

She was going to went to Dawin when someone beat her in to it.

"O my god! Dawin!" Kiara said while running towards Dawin and instantly kiss his cheek.

All the staff, widen their eyes, while Alice felt something, and Pia? She is mad.

"Babe, it's been years, I'm so lucky to see you again and to be your model," Kiara says while hugging Dawin's waist.

Alice became mad, how dare Dawin didn't even stop Kiara when it's crystal clear Dawin saw Alice who just went out from the dressing room.

"Excuse me Kiara, but can please let go of Dawin?" Pia says, trying her best to be polite, but that won't succeed as she was more fuming in anger.

Kiara laugh but she still won't let go Dawin.

"I'm sorry I just really miss Dawin."

Dawin who is silent the whole time, well he enjoys the show infront of him.

People around them became terrified when Alice walks to Dawin and Kiara's direction.

"Oh, Alice your done, and you must know him right? Dawin, the CEO of Quez wear, well you know 2 years ago Dawin was so into me like, he won't go anywhere if I'm not with him and he was just so sweet---

"Well you must know me too Kiara," Alice said because she had enough.

"Of course, what are you talking about? Well I don't know your surname?" Kiara says while Dawin now had also enough of the show infront of him so he starts to push Kiara away from him.

"Babe? What are you doing--

"My surname? Well my whole name, Alice Anderson Marquez," Alice said very calmly, that it scares Dawin and Pia.

Kiara laugh, "Okay, you have the same surname as Dawin---"

"Wait?"

Pia rolled her eyes and step infront of her.

"Alice is Dawin's Wife."

Kiara froze and hesitantly looked at Alice then back to Dawin.

"What?! Y-your joking right? T-this can't be, Dawin it's not true right?"

Alice wished Dawin will team up to her--

"Yes she's my wife, so keep your f*****g hands off me, or else."

"Or else what? Ohh, I just remember the days when your so insane to me like, your hands are always in my body, your lips--

"Stop it!" Alice suddenly shouted while holding her hair with both hands.

Dawin went to her but Alice ran to the dressing room immediately.

"You! Get out! And expect that you won't be the model anymore," Dawin said and Kiara was shock.

"No I won't let that happen no," Kiara shouted.

Dawin smirked to her, "Are you the CEO? no right, and there is more many models who are more deserving than you! So get out!"

Alice is in the Dressing room, unsteady breaths came out from her mouth. Imagining Dawin with other women makes her sick so sick that it hurt her heart to the core, and when this happens to her, there's only one thing that makes her better.

She saw scissor near the table and she hurriedly grab it and slice her wrist, many times, this was just the only thing that makes her cope up with her emotional damage that is happening to her right now.

After minutes of crying and oanting because of the wounds and her heart, she decided to stop. She changed her clothes in to Black Long sleeve, as well she knows the photoshoot for today will be canceled as she has no partner anymore.

She fix herself in front of the mirror and sigh.

'you always hurt yourself Alice,' she thought while laughing.

She looked at the mirror one more time but stops when she saw the blood in her open wound in the white table, she touch her clothed wrist and closed her eyes because of pain, she didnct treat it and she just covered it with her longsleeves that's why it hurts.

Alice went outside to be met by the worried faces of the staff.

Pia was also there and went near her.

"A-are you fine? I'm sorry Alice I didn't know Kiara was Dawin's fling 2 years ago."

"It's okay and I really don't care about it."

Before Pia could reply to her she strated to walk and went out of the studio.

While walking through the hallway it was silent as no one was around as it is working hours.

"Alice."

And Alice knows who called her.

"What?" Alice replied to Dawin.

"I just want to apologize from what happened at the studio I didn't know it was Kiara who they recuit as your partner."

Alice closed her eyes, why can't they just shut their mouths and stop talking if Kiara will be just the topic.

"I don't care Dawin, it's not my business to meddle with your past."

Alice was going to walk when suddenly Dawin held her wrist that made her shout from the intense pain.

"Ahh!"

Dawin feld a cold liquid in his hands and when he looked at it, his eyes widen in shock.

"What the f**k Alice!"

Alice cried because the pain in her wrist is not stopping anytime soon and blood starts to drop going to the marble floor of the hallway.

"W-why did you do it again?" Dawin asks, scared because of the way blood is coming out from the sleeves.

And it was many, too many.

Dawin carried Alice bridal style and Alice didn't protest as all she can think is the pain she had on both of her wrist.

Now she regret cutting it more and deeply.

Dawin carried Alice all the way to his office, when he go there, his secretary asked him what happened and Dawin just said Alice is not feeling well.

Dawin opened the office do and went in, he first put Alice on the couch and went to the bathroom to get the first aid kit.

No one said anything and Dawin sits in front of Alice.

"Alice roll up your sleeves."

Alice hesitantly rolled her sleeves and when she did it, Dawin's eyes widen and unfortunately Alice saw it.

"I didn't mean cut more than I-I expected," Alice said who shuttered a little.

"A-are you nuts? Alice, t-this is worse than I've expected," Dawin said frustatingly.

"I'm sorry."

Dawin sigh, and decided to start treating Alice deep wounds.

Alice hiss in pain loudly when Dawin put the Antiseptic in her wounds.

"Sorry, sorry, but I need to put it, or else it'll get infected."

Alice was wondering on why Dawin is treating her good at this moment, when Dawin just shouted at her early in the morning and yesterday nigh when Alice spilled a shake on Dawin's files, so why is Dawin treating her good now?

Dawin was done cleaning Alice wounds when he suddenly stop.

Alice looked at him, wondering why he stop, but she also stop when she saw what was Dawin staring at.

Her right wrist which is covered by cuts, is also covered by a big purple bruise which Dawin did yesterday.

Dawin stared at Alice and closed his eyes, "I-I'm sorry, y-you?, h-how can you bear this kind of Pain, A-alice?"

Alice looked on to the side and sigh.

"Pain is always with me Dawin, it'll never leave me," she says and stands up.

"Thank you for your kind consideration on treating my wounds but I need to go...Oh! And also, please keep this a secret."

Dawin was just in trance, and he didn't notice Alice going out from his office until the door shuts close.

"Secret? She wants to hide it from everyone but me?"

Dawin sigh and decided to go back to work, as it can make him forget on what happen just a while ago.

Another day comes for everybody and Alice goes to the MQ Incorporation a little bit early than Dawin, she was fetch by Cassy. She went early as their team decided to have changed in their photoshoot and Alice was informed early in the morning, clearly stating that she needs to go to the company as soon as possible.

Dawin knows Alice went early than Him, so now he's in the parking lot of the company going to the elevator.

"Oh, good morning sir Dawin! Why did you personally park your car, when you can ask the guards in the company entrance, you usually go there," A guard says when he saw Dawin who comes from parking lot.

"I need to check on some files before I go to my office, that's why."

The guard nodded and Dawin went to the elevator going to his office.

While Dawin was waiting patiently in the elevator, his phone suddenly ring.

He answered the phone and he first speaks up.

"What, oliver?"

"Oh, grumpy, early in the morning huh? Well I just want to inform you that Alice was doing the photoshoot alone, her team change plans and decided not to get her a partner, who knows it'll be your fling from the past."

Dawin rolled his eyes.

"I don't have a lots of flings and for your information Kiara is the only model who is my fling before."

"Well if that's what makes you sleep in night, then ok, and now Adios, I still have a work," Oliver said and hang up afterwards.

Alice on the other hand is now done on her first photoshoot, so her team is now on a short break and Alice is just scrolling on her phone when Cassy went to her while holding two cups of Iced Americano.

Cassy gave her one and Alice started drinking on it.

"Alice, by the way, why didn't you agreed to wesr short sleeves and just always long sleeves, did something happened to your arms?"

Now Alice needs to think of an excuse.

"Oh? This? Yesterday morning I was cooking breakfast when I accidentaly put water in a hot oil, and the rest is the reason why I am wearing a long sleeves now?"

"O my god, are you fine?"

Alice nodded and assured her, and the team decided to end the break and start the photo shoot again.

"Miss Alice, there will be a outfit change but don't worry we'll find a way to cover both of your arms."

They know what happened to Alice arms, because Cassy said it to them a while ago. Well that's what all they thought.

While Alice is busy posing in the camera, the other staff suddenly bowed to the man who have just enter the studio.

"Oh? Sir Dawin, what are you doing here?" Cassy asks.

"Oh well, I'm done from my meeting and I decided to check up on here."

Pia who have just entered, suddenly walk passed from Dawin without even saying anything and Cassy noticed it instantly.

But she didn't say anything and decided to go back and check Alice.

Dawin went near Pia and nudges her.

"What's your problem, why did you avoid me earlier?"

Pia snorts and looked at Dawin.

"Really? From what you did yesterday I'll talk to you now like nothing happened," then Pia went near in Dawin's ear and whispered.

"Don't make me like a fool Dawin, I saw Alice's wrist yesterday when she change, it's all bruised up, and I know only you did something to her, and please be careful before I do something I'll regret later on," Pia whispered while she grits her teeth.

Dawin looked at her emotionless.

"I regret it, happy now?"

"You should be fucker."

Dawin was shocked when Pia called him that, and it only means Pia is really mad at him, as she is not the type of person to call someone in a bad way.

Alice was done on her shoot and went near Pia.

"Oh pia, hello, oh? Dawin what are you doing here?"

"Um, I-I just want to inform you that my meeting is done and you'll be leaving with me when your done in your shoot."

Alice is confused for a while but she nontheless nodded.

Pia is confused but shrugged it off as Dawin and Alice is obviously living in one roof and of course they'll come home together too.

It's already night and Alice was just watching drama in her room, while Dawin is obviously in his room too, foing some paperworks that is needed to be done by this week.

Alice was just chilling when suddenly her phone rang.

She swipe the screen and answered.

"Hello?"

"Mam Alice, it's me jane."

Alice change her clothes fastly and when she was done she curses mentally when she remembered that her car is still in the repair shop, so she have no choice but to ask Dawin.

She hurriedly knock Dawin's door and she thanked internally when he opened it.

"What do you want?"

"Um, Dawin c-can I borrow your car, for a while? I promise I'll be back before midnight--"

"Why?"

"Huh?

"Is there something wrong?"

"Please I don't have time," Alice said frustatingly.

"Fine, but I'll come with you."

Alice have no choice but to agree as she needs to go there as soon as possible.

Alice and Dawin is now inside the car and Dawin starts the engine but before that he asked Alice first on where she is going.

"Care Orphanage Dawin, please let's go!" Alice says, worried evident on her face.

Dawin and Alice is now on the road when Dawin curiously ask Alice something, that he eventually regret.

"What are you gonna do there?"

"My son, he needs me."
