Chapter 29

"Pia, why are you so sad today?" Mae suddenly asks.

"Huh? Me?" Pia was pointing at herself

"Yeah you, When we arrived here earlier, you only smile if Brian was with you but if not, yeah your gloomy."

Pia sigh and was about to answer when someone from the back holds her shoulder.

"I'm sorry I'm late, the flight was delayed and I also talked to Sir Dawin's clients."

Dawin scoffs, "yah, I told you to call me by my name if we are not in work."

"Yeah, yeah sorry Dawin."

Pia side was empty that's why Seb sat there and stare at Pia.

"Hello?"

When Pia was finally back in her senses, she looked at Seb and stared at him for sometime. The others were surpressing their laughs when they saw how Seb was nervous infront of Pia.

"You!" Pia shouted.

"Y-yeah me?"

Pia suddenly slaps his shoulder,chest and arms, Seb was groaning in pain, while the others couldn't contain anymore and laugh.

"You texted me earlier that you can't come because your busy for fixing Dawin's schedule!"

"What? You use me against Pia, Seb nice move but she will kill me!" Dawin says scared but his actions were the opposite as he was busy munching a beef steak.

Alice looked at him nonchalantly and decided to continue on feeding Brian.

Seb rolled his eyes from Dawin's remark and looked at Pia.

"Yeah I'm sorry I lied about that, I just wanted to surprise you, did it fails?" He asks, or more like asking himself.

"You didn't but whatever," Pia says while rolling her eyes.

Mae and Lucas sigh, Pia can sometimes be childish.

After a while all of them got busy on eating their own foods, sometimes they talk here and there but Alice stayed silent the whole time and Mae was frustrated about it.

"Alice what's the problem?"

Alice stopped eating and frowns when she looked Mae.

"There's none mom."

"Yeah, keep lying to yourself, did Dawin do something to make you upset?" Lucas gestured Mae to stop but Mae doesn't have any plans in those.

"Mom really it's nothing."

"So there really is a problem," Mae says while sighing at the same time.

Dawin was silent from the while time and didn't utter any word, scared he will say something like before.

"Mom let's go to the farm I saw in the internet yesterday!" Pia excitedly says, changing the topic also as she notice that the table's atmosphere was starting to get uncomfortable.

Mae and Lucas sigh when they realize Pia was changing the topic, but Mae still agreed.

Seb looked at Dawin and Dawin looked at him too, he stared at Dawin and furrowed his eyebrows and Dawin nodded his head.

"Something really happened," he whispers to Pia.

"I know Seb, I was with them for almost 1 week and I can really sense that Alice was not talking to Dawin at all, but I saw sometimes Dawin was staring at Alice when Alice wasn't aware."

"Your a good observer babe," Pia rolled her eyes from the pet name but she still blushes resulted for Seb to smile wholeheartedly.

"You must remember that your still courting me mister," Pia whispers and Seb laugh and nodded his head like an obedient child he is.

"Cassy what's the schedule next week?" Alice asks trying to talk somehow.

"Um, there will be a premiere Show for a movie and you were invited as a VIP guest."

Alice nodded and silence surrounds her again.

After an hour, they are now in the house again and Alice and Brian, well Alice goes straightly to her room after biding goodnight while carrying Brian who fell asleep. Like really he really loves sleeping more than anything.

Cassy also slept early because she will be having a virtual meeting tomorrow early in the morning for Alice's next month's schedule.

The others were still in the living room, watching television.

"Son, what really happened?"

Dawin who was staring at the tv looked at his dad and then the others and sigh.

"I said something to her in the hospital," he frustatingly says.

"Maybe the time I opened the door and she goes out straightly?"

"Yeah, at that time, I said something that I know surely offended her."

Seb then frowns, "what is it?"

"I said that she should be thankful for me as I save her cause she was saying before that, that she should be the one who take the bullet and not me, she says it was her fault.

And now when I said those things, it turned out that she thought She should be thankful for me even though she didn't ask for it.

I told her, she was holding Brian at that time if I didn't save her I know she and Brian will get hurt.

The way I said it, it surely offended her."

Pia rolled her eyes, "you have a point there but can you like say other things like, 'alice it's okay, it already happened, and no matter what happens I will always save you.'"

"Whatever Pia, and it's okay, Alice ignoring me is least than what she did before, I can bear it," Dawin smiled to them.

Mae cupped his cheeks and hugged him tightly.

"My son is so strong hmm?"

Lucas looked at his son sympathetically, his son suffered so much yet he didn't do anything to make it better.

Pia smiled and joined Mae from hugging Dawin.

"Aw! Your squeezing me!"

Seb laugh and join the hug, Lucas just rolled his eyes but nonetheless hug them.

After the non ending hug, Dawin makes a face and said, "you all are over dramatic."

"You brat, be grateful!" Mae says.

The others laugh and after a while of chit chat, all decided to get some rest already as tomorrow, first they will go to the mall then the farm Pia said to her mother earlier.

Alice was peacefully sleeping while hugging Brian when someone knocked on the door resulting for her to open her eyes.

"Come in."

The door opened revealing Cassy, it was early in the morning yet Alice was wondering why she was wearing a casual clothes.

"Wondering why I'm wearing this even though it's still 5 a.m? Well Alice sad to say but I need to go back in Seoul now, Mom called me yesterday night and said she is interested on buying a apartment, well as you know she live in province."

Alice smiled a little and nodded, "that's great, does auntie wanted to move in Seoul?"

"Yeah, you know she is always alone in our hometown as her friends also move out long ago to Seoul."

"Oh that's sad, but now go, you still have a flight to catch."

"Yeah,yeah, goodbye Alice see you maybe tomorrow," Cassy laughs and bids goodbye to her one more time.

Alice realize she doesn't want to sleep anymore and decided to open her phone, after scrolling some time in Insta, she gets up and did her morning routine.

After that, she change her clothes to floral dress and she straightened her hair, apply some make up and wear a pink doll shoes, matching her light style outfit.

Brian was still sleeping so she decided to go downstairs, Alice realize others was still sleeping so goes to the kitchen and cooked breakfast for them all.

After 30 minutes, she's done and check the time.

"6.45."

She realize it was still early so she goes outside the house and sigh in relaxation when she was welcomed by a warm breeze.

"This is good," she mumbles.

She goes to the beach and started to take pictures of herself and the scenery.

She was busy staring at the view infront of her when she noticed someone walks and stand beside her.

"Morning." The other person said.

Alice halts when she realized the voice. She hesitantly looked beside her and saw Dawin, wearing a black t-shirt and black shorts with rubber shoes.

She doesn't reply but still nodded.

"Alice I'm sorry," Dawin said, breaking the awkward silence that surrounds them.

Alice was still silent so Dawin decided to continue.

"I know I'm not even your friend, but I want to apologize on behalf on what happened in the hospital that time. I didn't think straight at that time. Alice everything that happened was not your fault.

I saved you and even though you think you will not need it I will still save you.

That bullet if that hit you, I don't know what will happen to me, imagining you inside the operating room, Alice I'll definitely go insane!

Alice please stop ignoring me, I don't like it!"

Dawin was frustrated when he say those things.

"Why are you so concern about me huh?" Alice finally replied, Dawin on the other hand was taken back by the sudden question.

"Why Dawin? You told me! Before marriage, that you don't care about me anymore if something happens to me then you don't care then what is this?!"she sighs heavily and continued, "Dawin! Tell me! This whole thing is suffocating, Win! We are not like this! You said you will not care about me,

So why does it bother you so much specially imagining the scenario of me being shot! Why does--" but Alice was cut off when suddenly Dawin shouted.

"Because I still freaking love you! You Alice! It was years when you left me! I tried to forget you! But why is this stupid heart of mine keeps yearning for you!" Dawin sobs while Alice was frozen in the whole time.

"Alice, what happened to us?" Dawin holds Alice shoulder while he keeps on crying.

"W-win," she whispers.

"Tell me Alice, everything please! Why can't you is this something so hard to tell?!"

Alice sobs and kneels in front of Dawin.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry, I can't! Win! The reason was always killing me but I can't tell you, not now! Everything was still starting I can't just ruin everything!"

Dawin sniffs and kneeled also.

He will try he have too, or else he will regret everything after. This was not his plan but if this is the only thing that will keep him same again then so be it.

"Okay you can't tell me, but please go back to me," he whispers while putting his forehead to Alice's.

Alice cupped Dawin's cheeks.

"Let's start our new life win, comeback to me also, and I'll go home to you."

Dawin jolts and looked at Alice shocked.

"Y-you?"

"Yes me, your Ali, she's home," Alice sobbed and Dawin realizing everything hugs Alice tightly.

Both sobbed while Dawin's grip on Alice's waist tighten, Alice whimpered in pain but she didn't care.

As everything that matters now is finally they are home, their sanctuary is with each other.

Dawin broke the hug and stared at Alice.

"C-can I kiss you?"

Alice didn't say anything but only nodded, too scared she will realize that everything is a dream.

Dawin slowly leaned and started to kiss Alice, it was soft, both we're not in a rush, this kiss, it was the first time for 5 years, what they did in their marriage was not same as this, this was magical.

Alice tighten her hold in Dawin's neck, both kiss passionately, both doesn't want to end this but both still needed oxygen.

"I miss you."

Suddenly a strong wind fans Alice's face.

"Alice? Are you okay? I said good morning? Are you still going to ignore me?"

"Huh?" Alice breathes heavily and instantly looked at Dawin.

Both of them are not crying, both of them are not kneeling, both of them are not hugging, both of them are not kissing.

"So it's dream?" Alice accidentally said out loud.

"What?"

Alice looked at Dawin and shook her head.

"Nothing, and good morning."

"So you are not ignoring me anymore?"

Alice just nods.

"I'm sorry by the way, about the things I said before, none of those are true, and even though you don't want my help I would still help you."

"The dream will not come true," Alice suddenly whispers, luckily Dawin didn't heard it.

"It's okay I understand and maybe you said those thing because it was an effect of your medicine."

Dawin chuckled awkwardly.

"Let's go Dawin, I cooked breakfast and I know Brian is awake now."

Dawin nodded and both walks and going to the rented house.

When they entered the house they saw Pia was carrying and Brian who was crying meanwhile Seb was busy on making funny faces but in no avail Brian was still crying.

Mae and Lucas was sitting in the couch, surpressing their laughs towards Seb and Pia who seems so stressed first thing in the morning.

"Now I know what will happen to you both in the future," Alice said while chuckling.

"That's not funny sis, and Brian was crying for 5 minutes now, he keeps finding you," Alice sighs and went towards Brian.

She carried Brian and gave him a kiss on the forehead.

"Mumma!" Brian said while still crying, realizing that Alice was holding him now.

"Yeah mumma's here, no cry,cry okay?" Brian nods but he was still sniffling.

Alice went to the kitchen and grab Brian's bottle with water in it, and let Brian drink it.

The others followed her and sat on the chair to start eating their breakfast.

"You cooked this all? This is ," Dawin said.

"Yeah, I want to prepare slots of food."

"So you both are good now?" Pia asks.

Both nodded their heads and the others sigh contentedly.
