30. Blood Oath

Liam POV:

After everything is settled, we’re about to make the blood oath, Lucius and I stood up facing each other as Atlantes was beside us.

The Oath:

“I, Liam Venctury, the King of the Dragons, solemnly oath to ensure Lucius Vernom, the King of Vampires, that I’ll take his mate to live in his castle when the time comes, I’ll guard, protect and respect this oath guaranteeing she will not leave the Vampire’s Realm without the King consent in exchange of King Lucius Vernom’s help and intentions of having his mate to be the Queen of the Vampire’s Realm.

Under penalty of facing the Goddess’ punishment, I, King Liam Venctury, solemnly and rightly commit my everlasting word to this Oath.” I said and Atlantes cut my palm.

“Let no devil or mischievous spirit misunderstand me, I reassure King Liam Venctury’s words and my desire being fulfilled and respected until I say so, I’ll subvert it and the oath will no longer linger” he said and Atlantes cut his palm and we shook our hands as sparkling lights came out of our bleeding cut and spun around us, I felt the oath was finally settled.

I got curious and relief about Lucius’ words, I didn’t expect that he was also planning on subvert the oath after I do what I have to do but until he says so, it might take decades or centuries.

“Now, how can you help us?” I asked Lucius.

“Well, as soon as Patsy contact me, I’ll let you know, she always comes once in a couple of weeks, it’s been a while, she might be about to come at any time now, just go to your guest room or you may hang around until I call you. Atlantes, so are you if you also want to stay, you’re both my guests” he said shocking us and he noticed our confused faces.

“What? Do you think I’d have you both locked up in the dungeon and whipped until death?” he asked expressionless and actually, I didn’t think he would do it but that he would actually try something like that.

“At least try to” Atlantes replied instead of me and Lucius seemed unaffected.

“Tempting but ever since I agreed to help you, I can’t take my words back now and you’re a Royal just like I am, just don’t get in my way and let’s do this quick” he replied.

It made sense, he wanted something from me or else he wouldn’t make me do this f*****g blood oath.

“If it was Atlantes, would you force him to do the blood oath too?” I asked him, curiosity was over taking me.

“No, it had to be you” he replied coldly.

“Why?” I asked and he thought for a second.

“Because you’re the strongest one and you can assure me that no one will stand in my way when I find her” he said and that was enough for me.

I knew how hard it was for him to say something like that.

Atlantes and I left his office, we’d find somewhere to talk about what happened.

We made our way outside his castle but not outside the gates, we walked a little longer until we were far enough ensuring that Lucius couldn’t hear us, Lucius had a high sense of hearing as much as the wolves had.

“What did you think about that? Did you expect he would ask me for his mate? That was insane” I asked Atlantes.

“I’ve been thinking about the possibilities but it was all so unsettled and unsure, are you afraid?” he asked me.

“I’m not, I just think he’s still hiding something”

“Liam, he’s King Lucius, he’ll always hide something” he said.

Atlantes POV:

“Liam, he’s King Lucius, he’ll always hide something” I told Liam but I was telling more to myself, he's not hiding something because he’s King Lucius, I also hide a lot about me.

We talked a little bit more and Liam left to the guest room and I flashed to my castle, Liam would let me know if he had any news.

I looked up at the sky thinking about that in a few days, I’d meet King Phoenix again, it’s been a very long time since we started with this meeting and it’s working so far.

King Phoenix needs me because of my endless source of magic, not that anybody knows about it, I always made sure to avoid using my magic when it doesn’t seem necessary, I don’t need anyone gossiping about it, it would turn me into a target for any kind of being and I have a realm to rule, the truth was also that I never gave up on searching for my younger brother and I couldn’t let anyone stopping or distracting me, I had a little to nothing of free time, I would make sure to keep things that way.

And I needed Phoenix because he’s the only who can reach The Fates.

Phoenix was the kind of being that nobody knows much about what he can do or what he really is ever since he spends most of his time on the Underworld, he’s powerful and can do things that the Royals can’t, he’s the son of a God but we’re all unsure if he can be as bad as his father, Hades.

Hades was so mean that he made sure to turn even the greatest and the most wanted of all things into a nightmare for anyone who lives there, the mate bond, even for Phoenix, that’s why he needs me.

Phoenix had a 2nd in command, a woman named Bhavani, she was also very powerful and some says that they are biological siblings and that she can shift herself into a Basilisk. s**t, that was all I needed!

But I never got really interested about it so I wouldn’t ask.

His left eyes was crystal blue and his right eyes had a dark and fearful black globe with red iris, like angel and ghoul gathered in the same being, he always seemed like he didn’t have feelings or didn’t know much about it, like an innocent child trying to figure things out, that was how I always saw Phoenix, he was always expressionless and asked me about how love feels like, how loath could make a being want to hurt another being and what it feels like to be happy, it was always about business and ruling with him but some says that he cares a lot for his family, it was also all based on what he learnt by himself and what he knew by now, except when we talked about the mate bond, even his dark globes turned into a glowing navy blue color.

I felt bad for him but we can’t ever expect much for him to understand about feelings and what’s wrong or right, some might say that he was ruthless and others might say that he was misunderstood but I never had any kind of problem against him.

Besides if he had feelings like we do, I’m sure it would affect even the weather in the realms, that wasn’t a good idea, he had to learn a lot about it and how to control his own feelings before actually get to the practical stuff or else, he would end up out of control of his own feelings like his younger brother, the dark prince.

I would get everything settled for a when he comes in a few days, we’d make the ritual again.

Alice POV:

I don’t know how many days has passed but it seems like I was about to labor, my bump was huge.

I remembered Liam telling me about how it was the pregnancy with dragons but I’m sure that it hasn’t been 3 months by now, I was also sure that I’ve been only for a few days in here.

What’s happening?

Then I heard the door opening again, I was already waiting for Patsy, she was the one who always brought me food, I didn’t even try to talk to her or answer her questions at all.

But the person wasn’t Patsy and I froze.

“Hello, my darling. Well, well, look at you, the famous and the only hybrid from all over the Realms and now here you are carrying babies and not some babies but they’re having a hybrid mother and a dragon father, isn’t it exciting?” the strong man said, he was tall, green eyes, dark mid-length hair, bright skin and he looked good but there was something gloomy about him that was making me trembling, I was afraid then I realized he was a vampire.

“Who are you? Where’s Patsy?” I asked him and he took a few steps towards me.

“Watch out, he’s not intend to anything good” Hope told me.

“I know, I can feel it”

“There’s no one in here so you can scream as much as you want, little girl” he said before coming to my direction, I tried to run away from him but there weren’t many places I could go to, he was having fun, he had a big grin on his face.

“What do you want? Stay away from me” I shouted.

“Calm down, it’s just that you smell so nice that my mouth is watering, I just want to drink a bit of your blood, now be a good girl and relax, the more you move, the more it’s going to hurt” he said and I panicked.

I put my arms and hands around my bump to protect my babies and I was panting as my heart was racing, I tried to run away but when I was at the bed’s side, he came closer and pushed my shoulders making me fall on the bed and he was hovering me, I could also feel he was grinding something hard against my legs and I started to scream and Hope was barking and growling nonstop.

“You know what, I love it that you tried to run away from me, it makes things more interesting and you’re sexier than I thought, let’s make a deal just you and me, I promise you I can give you protection if you just give yourself to me willingly right now, I won’t hurt you or the babies” he said and I could feel the tears falling down my face.

“You’re insane, what if I don’t?” I asked him trying to find where my determination was coming from, I have to escape this nightmare I’m in, I have to protect my babies and I have to fight for my life, I have to go back to Liam and I was feeling like I have to do this on my own right now.

“Then I’ll force you and I promise you, little one, this is going to hurt like you’re going to wish you were dead, anyway I will get what I want” he said before have my hands pinned on his ones and the started to lick my neck and the swell of my breast “Hmm, you’re more delicious than I thought you were, I’m ready to thrust my d**k into you and drink your blood” he continued and I was sobbing.

“Please, wait, I didn’t give you my answer” I said, I was trying to find some time for Hope and I try to think about something.

He grinned.

“Then tell me, little one” he said and bit his lips in anticipation and I was disgusted.

“Can you tell me who you are before I tell you?” I tried to gain some more time again but I was already thinking about something, very risky but I got no other option.

“I’m the past King of the Vampire Realm, Demetrius, now spit it out already that I’m not as patient as you think I am, little one” he said as he was about to rip my shirt off.

I intently fixed my gaze on his one, I couldn’t believe it, he was King Lucius’ father, I was even scarier but I gave him a mischievously smile, he loosen his grip on my hands and I fight like I never did before to kick his balls off and leaned closer and kissed his neck and slightly bit his earlobe, he groaned.

“Now that’s more like it, you’ll enjoy it and I’ll give you protection, no one will ever hurt you” he said and I couldn’t take it anymore.

“You’re right, no one will ever hurt me because I won’t allow it” I said with determination and I kicked his balls off and he shouted in pain.

“f**k, you b***h, you’re going to regret it badly” he said before he tried to sink his fangs on my neck, I defended myself by using my wrist with my bracelet, he bit it off and could still bit my wrist and drink my blood by so much force he put into his jaws, he was very strong but so did I and I was free to use my powers now.

I waved my hand and threw him away, his fangs that were sunk on my wrist got violently off me ripping some flesh from my wrist which caused me to squeak out of pain.

I was having a hard time to use my powers, I was in pain and I was weak because I was losing blood nonstop, it looks like my whole energy went off after I used it, I felt a contraction and I couldn’t stand up, I was almost fainting.

Liam POV:

Atlantes left to his castle and I decided to go back to the guest room and wait for Lucius, I was getting nuts without Alice, I didn’t know how she was, our babies and it’s been a few hours…

“Liam, I just want to say that the Dragons flew over the Wolves’ Realm and there was 2 packs with problems, they were dealing with rogue attacks, our warriors could defeat them easily and no one got harm besides the rogues that got brutally turned to ashes” Prospero let me know.

Finally, a good new!

I wouldn’t wait anymore, I needed to go talk to Lucius so he could share everything he knew, I was determined.

I knocked on his office’s door, I could hear a woman moaning and she stopped.

She made her way to the door and opened it.

“Come in” Lucius said and his second in command came out with a messy hair, she smelled like s*x, so that was what’s going on between them.

I made my way in with a confused face but that was not my business.

“Don’t worry, there’s nothing going on between me and Amber, it’s just s*x and nothing else” he said smirking and I got even more confused, why was he explaining to me like I deserved some explanation?

“He’s hiding something very important, we have to know what it is” Alec said in my mind.

I didn’t care about it so I didn’t say anything about it.

“Lucius, I’m getting impatient, Alice is in danger, she’s pregnant, we’re having twins, I don’t know what they could possibly be doing to her and our babies right now, we have to do something” I said as I ran my hand through my hair and I could see that he also seemed a little worried when I mentioned Alice and our babies even though his expression was quickly replaced by his coldness again.

Suddenly he froze.

“Do you have something to cover your scent?” Lucius asked me quickly.

“Of course I do, why?” I asked him.

“There’s no time for it, use it right now and stay outside my office’s door waiting” he ordered.

“What? Hell no! What’s happening?”

“Patsy is about to flash here, I’ve just seen it, she can’t see you here, stay outside the door, do whatever you want but don’t stand on my way and cover your scent, Liam, and you better do it quickly or you will regret it badly, your mate and your babies will die and it will be your own fault” he said coldly and expressionless.

Fuck, that would be my chance to do something, I can’t just let her go, I used the defense rune and made my way out, a minute later, I could hear her voice inside his office, Alec roared inside my mind.

I waited for a couple of minutes and anxiety took over all my being and I slammed the door open, she froze when she saw me, I was about to throw myself on her and I felt an unbearable pain.

I couldn’t even talk properly, all that ever came out of my mouth was her name.

“Alice” and Patsy flashed at the same time.

The pain was so unbearable that the last thing I knew, I got unconscious for a few minutes and when I woke up, I saw a frowned Lucius staring at me with a small and thin fabric on his hands.

What was he about to do?
