Chapter 39
It was several hours later, but Ron did make good his promise to Adam and Simon. By the time he reached the hospital, it was late at night, and only a few hours before the general strike started.
On arrival, he was initially told that it was too late to see them. He was not prepared to take that.
He walked toward the isolation unit, where they were being kept with a nurse trailing behind, still trying to tell him he couldn’t go in. Pushing through the doors at the entrance of the unit, he was met by two security guards and a doctor. He was again told he couldn’t go in as the patients were being isolated and could be contagious.
He told the doctor that they either get him a suit or he would go in without one. One of the guards tried to put his hand on his shoulder, he didn’t
