Everyone inside the house who manage to hear what Nyx said stood in shock with their eyes and mouths wide open. Everyone in the Arcan family highly values a single person, and that is the bearer of the seal of the future.

“A-are you referring to the same person that I had in mind?” his father stuttered while asking his son.

His body started shaking while walking towards his son that is smiling pleasantly.

“Hey, why didn’t I realized it till now?”

“What? What did you not realized earlier?”

“Don’t tell me, that man earlier-“

“Yeah, I was a little skeptical at first but if you really think about it, it have never seen anyone lead the young master much less a human.”

“And he also called him ‘lord’ right? That really bugged me earlier as well.”

The guards whispered to one another after hearing the great news from their young master. The master overheard them whispering to each other, so he moved his eyes towards them that made their joyful feeling fade away like the wind the moment his eyes stumbled onto them.

“Oh s**t.” one of them said as he look down on the ground.

“It’s because you guys are whispering loud enough for the master to hear you idiots!” another one whispered in a very angry tone as he poke his elbows to the others beside him.

Their heart pounded their chest like they are about to pop out of their chests.

The master walk towards them as the guards stood there with their pales faces not knowing what the master will do to them.

[Did they see the person who bears the seal of the future?] “Did you manage to see the person who bears the seal of the future?” He said with a cold tone.

His piercing gaze is making all of the guards hesitant to answer his question that even Mars is doubting whether he should do the answering or not.

[This old man is not joking, even his mana aura’s pressure is still intimidating with him suppressing it. Successors really are on another level- eh wait. If the master is that intimidating now then how intimidating will be the young master in his prime?] Mars thought as he started to break some sweat from his forehead.

[I better not think about it, the appearance of the bearer of the seal of the future is far more important than anything in the world for us. But to think that he is the son of the meat vendor who we always buy our meat is very surprising.] he thought with a slight of delight for his existence.

With no one brave enough to answer his questions, Nyx held his father’s shoulders.

[How will any of them answer you if they are frozen stiff by your mana aura’s pressure?] “Stop doing that father, you are scaring them, please be sure to suppress that mana aura of yours if you want your questions to be answered. Otherwise you would be waiting for nothing like what happened here.” He explained in a soft tone.

[Huh? Does it look that way to you?] the master thought as he glanced at every guard’s faces.

“Is that true?” he asked in a rather sad tone.

They still felt the intimidation behind the master’s voice but with Nyx’s explanation, they amassed enough courage to answer the master in a nod.

[What?! Do I really look that intimidating?] he asked himself as he turn his head to look for a nearby mirror.

[Father looks really intimidating but the truth is that he is always clueless of what people around him think of him, he is not really a scary person like what the other people thought he is. I bet if I went and listened to him first, it would take all day just to listen to him nagging me about not being careful. He is even more caring than my mother that she thinks that she might have been the guy and he is the girl. Nyx told himself with a chuckle.

[Ugh! I look hideous! So this is why everyone would always froze stiff whenever I say something. I was never aware of this since the beginning.] the master thought as he saw his reflection in the mirror while burying his face with his hands.

*Sigh!*

“Gather everyone in the hall, we have something to announce to everyone in the house of Arcan.” He said with a sad tone.

[The next day.]

*Creaka!*

“I’ll be on my way mother!” he asked for permission as he opens the door. “Be careful out there alright?” she said as she washes the dishes. “You too mother.” He said as he closed the door.

*Closes the door*

[I wish the other guy did not get that much injured since Nyx looked like put every power he can muster in his fists at that time.] he thought as he walks slowly in the same route.

[Last night]

“We, the Arcans have been waiting for your arrival ever since the defeat of the demon lord three hundred years ago. My family have been doing everything we can to stay in the hierarchy of the main families, sending most of our talented family members throughout the entire kingdom every generation to keep an eye where the bearer would appear. You don’t know how happy I was when I saw the seal on your shoulder at the test grounds of the academy.” Nyx said as his body shakes in excitement.

[Wow, they do that thing every generation? How dedicated are they to do this without expecting any in return for their efforts.] Raven thought as he poured tea in Nyx’s cup.

“Thank you my lor- Raven. Is it okay to call you just by your name? If my father no- my elders rather learn of this, they might scold me for not being respectful towards the bearer.” He ask in a concerned tone.

“Its fine, I am not really comfortable being called like that. Especially by someone close to my age but if the elders still pursue that issue then I don’t have any choice but to tell them myself do I?” Raven said as he took a sip from his cup.

[Wow, this taste good. It is even better than our originally made tea.] he thought as the taste of the tea surprised him. “Wow, this tea is good. May I ask where you had gotten these?” he asked while staring at his cup.

“Oh that, I picked them up from the ruins when I went there the other day. The leaves smells wonderful so I thought it would make a good tea. But it’s good that you liked it, are the guys outside fine staying out there without any chairs? They can just sit there in the bench, should I bring them tea?” Raven asked as he held the kettle ready to bring some cups outside.

Nyx immediately jumped off his chair to stop Raven from doing so.

“No, no, no. It’s fine, may I bring some for them to have a taste later?” he said in a polite voice.

[I can’t let Raven serve them tea because if they later realized that the person who served them tea is the bearer of the seal of the future. They might get depressed and kill themselves.]

He told himself as he flash an awkward smile.

“Is that so? Then I will just pack them a bag then, please share this with the others from your family as well. If you liked it then they might like it as well.” Raven said as he stood from his chair and pack a bag of tea and placed it on the table. “Here.”

“Thank you very much Raven.” He bow his head in a graceful manner.

[Hooooo. The smell is really nice, I can’t wait for father and mother to taste this. Sorry guys, you have to wait for a while.] he thought as he enjoyed the smell of his tea.

The aroma of the tea scattered outside Raven’s house that Mars and the guards are being drawn into.

“No fair, I bet whatever the young master is having, I’m sure it’s delicious.” One of them said while peeking inside the house through the window.

*smack!*

His lips smack as he wipe his watery mouth.

“KUA!” he groaned in pain when Mars immediately pulled his collar.

“Come here and don’t complain, our order is to guard this house with our lives. Go back to your stations.” He said with a stern tone.

“Ehh? Stop lying to yourself, even your mouth is watery. See? There’s drool in the corner of your lips.” He complained as he points his finger on Mar’s mouth.

“No I’m not.” He denies as he wipe his drool off.

[What a liar.]

Every guards thought as they saw him wiping off his drool.

[Back to present time.]

[We a lot about everything, I hope we get along just fine from now on.] he told himself as he smiled.

Raven is lost in his thoughts when a student in the alley blocked his way out.

“Are you Raven Oston?” the students asked.
