9. His Prisoner

1572 Words
Ivy's POV. The sound of metal banging on the bars woke me from my sleep. I sat up and looked at who it was and, to my dismay, it was the man that brought me here. "Rise and shine, our King would like you to join him for dinner." He said with gritted teeth. "Oh and wash up and put this on to be more presentable in front of the King." He added as he threw a dress at me. Before he left, he put a bucket of water in and he opened my cell door. He walked over to what I assumed was the way to be and went to what I believed was the dungeon. I quickly washed in fear of a male coming in and seeing my women's parts. I put the dress given to me on and realised how naked I felt with only one piece of material hiding my body. I ripped a piece of fabric from my previous dress to use to dry my hair. Since I did not get given a brush, I used my fingers to comb out my damp hair. Once I was done, I remembered that the cell door was open the whole time. I slowly walked out and tip-toed to where I saw that man going. I came face to face with a door and my hands reached out to open it. "Great," I whispered to myself when I found that the door was locked. I took a deep breath in and breathed out just as I heard a clicking noise come from the other side. I took a huge step back as I began to feel fear creep in. The door opened and there stood the man that gave me a friendly smile the first time I woke. "Oh, your all done." He said as he gave me another smile. "Please follow me, I will take you to our king." He added in a friendly tone. I slowly but cautiously followed the man, who continued to smile at me. I don’t know what he kept smiling about. As far as I knew, I was a prisoner. There was nothing about that worth smiling at. “Here we are,” he said as he opened the door. “Just take a seat over there.” He added as he pointed to a seat. Just as I walked into the room, he closed the door behind me. I checked the door and, of course, it was locked. “Arrrghhh,” I sighed in frustration. I walked over to the seat he told me to sit in and took a seat. I took a look around the dining room and it was huge, almost the same size as the Castle's dining room. It was much brighter than what I was used to. Of course, werewolves move around during the day, while vampires are creatures of the night. Whereas we roam in the night and our rooms have some sort of dark theme to them. It didn’t take long before I heard the door open again and I walked the guy from last night. There wasn’t much light in the dungeons for me to see him as clearly as I can now. So I took my time to look at him. He was definitely the biggest man I have ever seen. He had a beard as a king should, his muscles were outlined in his clothing and when I looked at his eyes, I felt like I could stare at him forever. I moved my eyes down to his lips and they seemed to be begging me to taste it. I looked down and saw a slight grin on his face but didn’t think anything of it. I was too lost in exploring the rest of his body. As my eyes reached his tights, I looked to the spot where his manhood was hiding. I blushed as I saw a lump poke out. Once I realised what I was staring at, I turned my face away to hide. Oh get a grip of yourself Ivy, I said to myself as I shook my head. You're engaged to someone and here you are full-on eyeing off another man. He walked right over to where I sat and took the seat beside me. "Do you like what you see?" He teased as he smirked. "No!" I shot back. He let out a chuckle and I knew it was my face that had betrayed me. I know I was red as a tomato from answering his question with a lie. My embarrassment soon turned into anger as he was still chuckling away with his husky voice. His smile seemed to disappear once he saw I had an angry expression. "Now, I have invited you to have dinner with me so we can get to know each other," he said in a serious tone. "To know each other?" I repeated his words, "Why would we get to know each other? You’re a werewolf! And I am a vampire!” I added as I got a bit louder. I can’t say I was angry with his words, but more confused. Why would he want to get to know me? All my life I was told that werewolves would kill our kind without hesitating. That if I ever got caught, then I would have to kill them the first chance I got. Instead, I was a prisoner in a werewolf's home or, more specifically, the werewolf's king's castle. I was very much alive and from what he said was ‘invited to have dinner with him’. "It doesn't matter why!" He said back with irritation, "You are my prisoner, and if you wish to remain alive you will do as I say." He added. I couldn’t help but let out a sarcastic laugh, "Oh, I get it." I said as I was laughing out each of my words. "Your playing with me. You are pretending to get close to me to see if you can find out anything about Vampires, then when you have everything you need... Well, you will dispose of me," I said. It was the only thing that made sense to me right now. I mean, why else would werewolves keep me, a vampire, alive? “If it’s not what you plan on doing to me, then let me go,” I demanded. He got out of his chair and spun me around to bring us face to face. I couldn’t help but notice that this might be his favourite position. Oh my god! What is wrong with me? I seemed not to be thinking clearly when he was this close to me. Our faces were so close that our lips could already have met each other. I felt his breathing was heavy and so was mine, as we stared at each other for what felt like forever. “What is your name?” He asked so sweet and soft. “Lady Ivy,” I said without hesitation as I matched his tone. “What’s yours?” I added. “I’m King Ivan, king of the werewolves.” He replied with a more serious tone before he moved from our rather intimate position. “I figured you were a lady, your dress had too many layers.” King Ivan added before taking his seat again. I was just about to open my mouth to explain to him why a lady should wear so many layers of clothes but I closed it at the sound of doors opening. I looked to see who was now coming in and it was servants with food. My stomach growled at the smell of how delicious everything smelt. I don’t even remember when I last ate, since I got taken by those werewolves. “Well lady Ivy, eat up. You are going to need your strength now that you are my prisoner,” Ivan said, with a sly grin. I didn’t take his words as a threat though. If anything, I found it somewhat exciting. Even more so, it sounded right coming from his mouth. I sighed from my own annoyance at how I was a complete mess in front of someone I did not even know. I was slowly picking at the food in front of me. I had inhaled the smell of the food to check if there was any poisoning in it. “It’s not poisoned,” Ivan said, as if reading my mind. His words felt comforting that every fiver in my body believed him. I felt calm that I had managed to eat so much, I had forgotten that I was a lady. I looked up and saw King Ivan staring at me. I could tell what emotion was on his face. In fact, it was blank and hard to read. I needed that since my father had taught me to display similar facial expressions. I couldn’t help that he and I stared at each other for a while as we sat in our seats. “So,” I began to break the heavy ailments that grew between us. “Why do you want to keep me your prisoner?” I asked. At that moment I had asked that question, I saw some sort of emotion flicker between his eyes. I could be wrong, but it seemed to be longing. He was longing for something, but what?
