Orion’s POV
Hillary whimpered as I thrusted fully into her from behind. Her butt up and face plastered on the chair.
It should be a victory s*x but I felt empty.
I knew I was a lost cause, and there was no redemption for me. It would be stupid to believe that after ending the line of the one person who brought doom to my world I would have peace, but all I get is nothing.
To be candid, the plans are in motion, maybe I would find peace after truly eradicating them.
My mind was everywhere but here till I heard her scream. “Orion please, gosh, it’s too much.” She tried moving her hand but it was cuffed to her back.
I slowed down my pace. She wasn't the cause of my frustration and it's only fair that I gave her pleasure as she has been a faithful confidant.
I slapped her across her butt cheek making her hiss back in pain then moan as my finger delved slowly between her folds, working with steady precision.
“Ohhhhhhhh.” moaning again, she melted on the sofa, uttering incoherent words.
I increased my pace ready to get it over with. I knew this time around her c**t wouldn't do it for me. After she chased her release, I stood up, unclasped her hand, and went to the bathroom, cleaning up and tucking myself back in.
I closed my eyes and placed my head on the wall. The quietness, was soothing but it lasted only a while before it was disrupted by a mind link from Kael my Beta. ‘He is planning on aligning with another pack using his daughter as an exchange. The faster we strike Alpha Orion the better it is for us.’
I opened my eyes. ‘It’s high time we settle close to them. Send Hillary with a few guards with her back to Darkwood.’
‘Alright Alpha Orion.’
With that, I got out of the bathroom to see Hillary sitting on the couch robed in blue satin, her hair disheveled from the activity beforehand.
“Pack up, you are to return to Darkwood.”
Her eyes went wide as they met mine, but if she had anything to say, she didn't utter a word. She nodded. “Okay, Alpha Orion.”
She stood up heading to my restroom, while I took my seat on the executive chair.
“What are you doing?” I asked as she let the robe fall freely from her skin, making her bare.
“I was thinking I should shower here instead of my room.”
“And when did that begin?” My tone was as cold as steel. Though I didn't meet her eye I knew she flinched.
Immediately she lowered her head. “Forgive my manners.”
She knew it was her cue to leave, so she did. Leaving me to get ready to move.

“There are four Intel within Alpha Jack's mansion. We can come tomorrow, as the matchmaking will be happening on his sister’s Twentieth birthday.”
I nodded, watching our surroundings curiously. Though the easy buzzing of the market felt normal I didn't know how to be calm. The last time I felt ease, was when my mother was alive.
But ever since I watched Johnson sniff life out of her, it sniffed my peace also.
I couldn’t tell if it was the thought of my mother that made me notice the stall, but for the first time in eighteen years, I was seeing a place where they sold elote.
It was hard to believe that I had to blink. But there it was. I had stopped walking watching remembering as my mother said, ‘food tastes better when it's shared with someone you love, not when it's classy, or expensive’ when I refused to eat it at first, cause my naive self called it dirty.
Though I later ate it after the convincing, I would give up an arm to relive that day, to feel the warmth of her voice, the softness in her touch, her smile that lit up the darkest days.
The way she gave, gave, and kept giving her all to me until it made that monster take her life. To catch a monster you must act like a monster but I have lost myself in this acting that I fear this is now who I am.
“Alpha Orion.”
Karl's voice shook me out of my thoughts.
“Do you want me to get an Elote for you?”
“No Kael, don't. Let's keep moving.”
After touring the market, we noticed that the patrolling guards were not stationed among the commoners; they were mostly stationed toward the Alpha mansion.
Even the devil himself finds it hard to sleep at night. The irony of life.
Kael and I were about to head back having gathered all the information needed to visit Johnson.
As we rounded a corner, a petite lady bumped into me, lo and behold, she was with an Elote whose butter was smeared all over my shirt. I felt the heat from the melted butter seep into my skin.
It tingled.
She opened her mouth in shock, her face suddenly turning red. “Watch where you are going!” She spat invisible steam seeping from her nose and ears.
Kael took a step about to bundle her away, but all it needed for him to stay put was a look.
The lady who accompanied her glanced between both of us before rushing towards the Lady. “Let's get you another one My Lady.”
“No, it's fine Gwen, let’s head back.”
She moved as if to walk past me, but I held her by the arm and pulled her back in front of me.”
My wolf purred at her scent. That monstrous beast was snuggling at her scent. This hasn't happened ever.
This is a first.
She glared snapping her hand free from my grasp. “Don't touch me.”
I couldn't stop watching her, her hair was covered with a veil, her face flawless like milk. Though she was dressed as a commoner, she's far from it.
There's no way a commoner would have a maiden who refers to her as My Lady.
“My Lady it’s smart we head back now.”
I mindlinked Kael to create a distraction that would make me alone with the Lady.
Before he could go into action some patrolling guards approaching made Gwen lose her mind. “Hide my lady.” was all she said before launching into the bush opposite where we stood.
The Elote lady, clearly confused, spun and tried to run in the opposite direction, but I grabbed her arm, pinned her to the wall with her hand locked above her head, and loomed over her with my bulky frame.
She gasps at the suddenness, her breath creases my skin, my eyes wandering to the rising and falling of her bosom.
“What are you doing?”
Her sea blue eyes brought comfort to my soul. Even as she glared it was soft. Her pink lips folded in a pout.
Trying to shake free, she uttered sternly. “Let go of me.”
“You can either stay put or I call the attention of the guards.”
She stood still, watching me in awe. “You dare threaten me?”
“The rate of these public displays of affection is becoming alarming.” One of the guards lamented while the others laughed.
My wolf loved that they thought we were an item. Locking both her hands with one of mine, I trailed my hand on her cheek feeling the smoothness of her skin.
“What are you doing?”
“Saving you?” I whispered, imprinting her scent in my memory.
“I can see you don't value your life.” She added.
“Should I be scared of you?”
“You should keep your hands to yourself. It's rude to touch someone without their permission.”
“I am not touching you My Lady.” I drew the ‘My Lady’ teasing her.
Her eyes searched mine, and it felt really different.
Though I had promised myself to soil the Alpha mansion and return to mine empty-handed, I think I’m going back with this one. She would make a very interesting mistress.
She pushed me back, moving away from the wall. At the same time, her maiden rose from the bush, whereas Kael stood expressionless.
“Let’s leave Gwen.” With that, she turned around and walked toward where the guards had gone.
I smirked, her scent lingering on my palm. “Follow her and find out about her.”
“Okay, Alpha Malek.”
My wolf peeked curiously at the lady who had caught our attention.
