CHAPTER THREE The next morning he had woken up and after his usual morning rituals, he was ready to go meet up with the sense 7s but he didn’t know how to call Josh or communicate with Val. It’s not like they gave him their business card or something. Then suddenly he had Val's voice in his head, “Business card huh...even your thoughts are cute." He wondered if she was trying to say he was cute or....he didn't understand what she was meaning. “Yes you are cute...if I can read your thoughts its only fair I tell you mine, right. Josh is picking you up now.” Josh was then in the room. “How are you doing, kid?” Josh asked. “You know my name is Olly, right?” “Yes, I do.” “Then quit calling me kid.” Josh smirked and just held his shoulder. They were back in the underground lounge. “Hey Olly,” Val greeted. “Hi,” Olly replied. “Ok, quit the chit chat let’s get to your training, kid,” Josh dived into there conversation. “Uhmmm…well Olly, I know you had your brother’s dream last night,” she said, moving, signaling him to follow her, “that just simply means your telepathy is growing and sooner or later, hopefully sooner, you’ll be able to receive people’s thoughts at wider range than the bedroom next to you.” They had walked into the training room she showed him yesterday. “Now you’re going to have to learn how to read my mind on command, not just by accident, OK?” Val said. “Yes ma’am” “I want you to look into my eyes, look deeper into them and listen.” Olly didn’t know what he was supposed to be listening for but he obeyed her commands. All he could here was the murmuring of the other sense 7s. “Try to ignore the other sounds and listen, not to me but to your thoughts. Other peoples thoughts can be heard with in. It’s just that they are really faint and the closer the person is, the louder they are. So listen!” she commanded. He listened and the murmurs of everyone else grew faint. Then his thoughts came into focus. “Good, that’s good!” she exclaimed, “Now listen for the voices that aren’t yours.” He listened as she said and he begun hearing these faint voices and his eyes turned greenish like there was green smoke in his eye balls. They weren’t loud enough for him to grasp until one voice came into focus. It was Val’s voice and it said, “Can you hear? Can you hear me?” He replied telepathically, “Yes, I can!” “First learner, I like that,” Val said, “now you’ll have to practice that more and more but in the mean time see if you can implant thoughts in my head. If you can control me. The secret is to make it seem to the person you’re that the thoughts are they’re own,” she explained, “but I don’t think it will work on me since am telepath too. I’m used to hearing the voices.” She was still telling him how hard it is to implant thoughts in another telepaths mind when his eyes turned greenish again and he said, “Shut up!” and just like that he had done it, he had controlled another telepath, she had kept quiet at his command. Then his eyes were turning back dark brown when he said, “I did it, didn’t I?” “Hmmm…yes you did.” She said amused and fascinated by the fact that he had actually done it. She has been a telepath for 3 years and some noob had planted thoughts in her mind. She didn’t think it too much but she was still awed by his fast learning skills. “Wow, I can read your mind now with such ease.” He said. “Oh can you now? What are my thinking?” Val said. She was thinking to herself, ‘Olly sounds like a girl’s name.’ “No, it doesn’t.” he said defensively. “Ok, I guess this is more than good enough for now, don’t you think? You already know how to communicate telepathically and also mind control. I say we go out and get to know each other better, eeh?” Olly nodded in agreement he hadn’t realized that they had been there nearly an hour. They moved up stairs. It led to some club and then they moved out. “So the 7s stay below a club. How come we can’t hear the loud music.” Olly asked. “We are a few floors below that.” Val said. They walked out the building and they were in the streets, on the side walk. “So, tell me about you.” Olly spoke. “You’re a telepath can’t you just read my thoughts and know whatever you want,” Val said. “I guess I can,” Olly said sounding amazed by the fact that yesterday he didn’t even know that these people existed. Yesterday he thought he was a schizophrenic and today his a mind reader, “ but I don’t wanna invade your privacy.” He said. “You mean like I invaded yours, cause I know all there’s to know about you. Your mom, dad, Henrik and even Liv. So I guess its only fair you invade my privacy, too.” She said but deep down hoping he didn’t read her thoughts cause there were a lot inner demons. “Would you just tell me about yourself?” Olly said. “Well OK, Uhmmmm what exactly do you want know?” Val asked him. He wondered if he she was dating anyone. Then he wondered why it mattered to him. “No, I’m not dating anyone, Olly. Do you want to ask me out?” Val spoke her mind freely, I guess its something about her being a telepath she was always saying, “ I can read your thoughts, its only fair I tell you mine.” “I thought you and Josh are like a thing.” She giggled, “me!!” she said touching her chest, then her aura became serious, “ He’s more of a brother than a boyfriend.” “Why hasn’t any guy snatched you up yet. I wonder.” Olly said. “Maybe its because most guys are jerks and I don’t need to go out with them to know, after all I’m psychic.”
