They were speaking telepathically the whole time. “What if our mind’s limits are not just 10% or 20%, what if we can do more than what we think. Maybe we can even tap into our minds completely at 100%, imagine what we’ll be able to do,” Olly said. Then he got a notification on his phone. He pulled it out his right thigh pocket. ‘Olly get your butt over to Horizo Hospital, dad just had another attack.’ Olly’s face flashed with extreme fear, he texted back, ‘coming!!!’ “Val you gotta tell Josh to teleport me to Horizo Hospital as soon as possible she had already read his mind and she was worried for him. Josh left him in the hospital’s men’s room. Olly ran to the emergency room. His mom and Rick were there. He hugged them and asked, “Is dad gonna be fine?” They looked at each other with that look of uncertainty but also hope he needn’t be a mind reader to see that they were hoping for the best but expecting the worst. The doctor walked out and said, “Are you relatives of the deceased?” “DECEASED???” they all looked to be in shock. “What the f**k are you talking about???” Rick yelled. “You don’t f**king know what you’re doing!!” Tears fell from their mother’s eyes. She just couldn’t stand anymore. Olly supported her and let her sit down as he comforted her, even though it had hurt him too, so much. It was hurting him so much. Liv walked through the hall and she was there with them. “Olly, is he OK?” she asked but then saw the look on all their faces, “Is it that bad?” Olly shook his head real slow as if he couldn’t believe it himself, “He didn’t make it out this time.” Liv was in shock too, her parents didn’t live in the city and she basically did everything on her own but Olly’s parents were always there for her. She had started seeing them like her own. She was in a lot of shock. She looked at all of us and said, “I’m sorry.” As she broke down and started crying too. Rick just stood there, pinching the skin between his eye brows with his eyes filled with tears but didn’t cry. He just walked out the hospital. On his way out there was a trash can in the parking lot and he kicked it like the bucket was death and he was compensating for his dad’s departure. He sat in the car and then he broke down, he started to cry when he saw Kathy’s car pull up in the parking lot she opened the door and walked out. She immediately noticed Rick’s dad’s car and she walked up to it the door locks were open. She knew that his dad had had a heart attack but ignorant about the fact that he had died. She opened the car and sat next to him in the passenger seat. “I’m sorry, nun” is all she could say. She had never seen him cry before and she knew it must be serious. She hugged his head to her chest and stroked his hair in attempt to calm his nerves. When the the tears had stopped flowing, he looked her in the eyes and told her, “Hus gone, my dad is dead!” he never thought that those words will once be reality. She was now in shock she understood why he had been crying, her eyes became teary too. Olly walked his mom out the hospital to the parking lot. Rick and Kathy moved out the car and he told Olly he was going to Kathy’s place. Rick and her sat in her car in deafening silence. Rick stared out the window with his veins popping out on his fore head in anger. She looked at him place her hand on his back and rubbed it trying to cheer him up. “I love you hun,” she said, then she started the car. Olly drove his mom home, Liv had followed in her car. Their mom had stopped crying and was now calm but too calm. Olly had never seen her this calm yet so scary. She looked like she could walk back into the hospital and beat up the doctors who worked on her husband. She loved him so so much that she’d literally rather take his place in this situation. They drove into their garage. His mom silently walked out the car into the house up the stairs into her bedroom. She locked the door behind her shut and she sat staring at her husbands side of the bed. Their was a family picture of all four of them when Olly and rick were 11 and 10 in that order. She lay on the bed hugging the picture to her chest thinking to herself quietly. Olly didn’t want to leave his mom alone at this moment. After he had parked the car, Liv had arrived too. They sat together in the living room as Liv held Olly’s hand in comfort she just wanted to hug him right then but Olly wasn’t that touchy kind of guy. He’d go through immense pain and never show it. He handled pain his own way. He ignored it but once in a while those walls he built around him to lock out his suffering crumbled down and he couldn’t take it anymore, Liv wanted to ask him to let her in, so that they could she share this pain together. He could read her mind and he felt how hurt she was that he couldn’t be vulnerable even with her. She wanted to be his shoulder to cry on because he was everyone’s support but no one supported him. A tear fell from his right eye, he wiped it immediately and he slid his hand out of her grip and walked into the kitchen to get some water. He asked her, “Do you want some?” she nodded in agreement. He brought her glass out of the refrigerator.
