Rick was in Kathy’s bedroom. He sat on her bed while she was in her bathroom changing. She walked into the room and sat next to him. “I love you so much!” she exclaimed. “I love you more,” he said. She gave him a peck on the lips and said, “I’m really sorry about your dad. I’m here for you babe.” She kissed him again but this time passionately. It was like a series of pecks as their lips parted to let their tongues slide into each other. He pulled her to him and she was now sitting on top of him. One of her hands held his cheek and the other toyed with his hair. His arms were glued to her waist. They stopped as if to catch breath and their fore heads knocking they stared into each others eyes seeing the need in each other and they kissed again. She took off his shirt. Mean while, Val tried to communicate with Olly but couldn’t get a clear read on him. She was in his mind and his thoughts were so scattered and didn’t make sense. She was now worried. She had Josh teleport her to Olly’s house and as he left Val rang the door bell. Olly came and opened the door. She was the last person he expected to see. “Val!! Come in!!” he said. She walked and immediately noticing Liv she said, “I’m sorry for intruding.” “No no its nothing,” he said holding the door to let her in as he looked at Liv. “uhmmm Liv this is Val. Val this is my best friend Liv.” Liv didn’t like the way he said best friend. “So you’re the friend Olly had met up with. Its nice to meet you,” Liv said with clear jealousy written all over her face. ‘Val is so beautiful,’ she thought to herself. “Nice to meet you too. Olly has told me so much about you,” Val said. ‘No I haven’t,’ Olly communicated with Val telepathically. ‘Well you didn’t have to tell me,’ Val replied looking at Olly while grinning and Olly just smirked back at her. Liv couldn’t help notice the way they were looking at each other. “Ehemm!!” Liv said. “uhmmm Val take a seat he said as she sat down. “So…Olly is your dad OK?” Val asked. Then she saw that despair in Olly’s eyes she needn’t ask. She had already read his mind. “He didn’t make it, did he?” Val asked. Olly shook his head and Val stepped up to give him a hug. Olly held her waist as she had wrapped her arms around his neck. “If there’s anything you’d like me to do, Olly please lemme know. OK?” “Ok,” Olly replied he seemed to be more open with val and it killed Liv on the inside. Olly didn’t bother about Liv’s thoughts so he hadn’t noticed but val was reading her mind and told Olly, ‘Watch out your hurting someone’s feelings, you heart breaker.’ Then she let him go and Olly stared at the clear jealousy in Liv’s eyes. ………. Olly saw the clear jealousy in Liv’s eyes. He let go of Val and took a step back. “Let me leave you girls to get to know each other, I’m gonna check up on mom,” Olly said. Today had been the longest day of his life. It had been a few hours when he woke up and he had now learned how to use his powers though not completely, Liv had told him how she felt, Val had ignited something between them, his dad had had a stroke and now he was dead not forgetting that Liv and Val have just met. He was really exhausted. He walked up the stairs and knocked twice on his parents’ bedroom. The door wasn’t closed so he just pushed it and walked in. “Mom are you OK?” he asked. “Yes am good, son, just a little shaken up about everything that has happened today. Olly saw the pain she was in and he wished these powers came with away to make people feel better. He could plant thoughts in her mind but that wasn’t a permanent solution so he would just have to let her grieve their father her own way. “When are we burying dad?” “I don’t know. We should probably do it on Sunday but in the mean time you should go out with Liv. You know son enjoy your life and don’t be burdened by all this, OK?” she said with her palm against his cheek. He wanted to argue but with his mom that would be pointless, whenever she made her mind up that was it so he couldn’t stay here with her she wanted to be alone. He simply had to reply, “ok.” He walked down the stairs and saw Val and Liv laugh about something. “You guys enjoyed each others company, huh? Let’s go out for a drink or something?” he suggested. They both stood up in agreement with the idea. They hopped into his car and he drove them to a bar. Olly wasn’t the liquor kind of guy he ordered a soda, which affected Val and Liv to also do the same. They sat on the counter for some time, talking. “So how did you meet Olly?” Liv asked. Val looked at Olly. ‘What should I tell her?’ ‘Anything.’ “Him and I met a week ago…I had asked him for directions and he offered to give me a ride. Then we met again by coincidence after two days. We almost crushed into each other while turning a corner on the side walk. I wanted to thank him so I offered to buy him lunch. We spoke over lunch and I told him next time it should be his treat. We met up like 3 days again, today inclusive, I was with him when he heard his dad was in the hospital, you can say fate had a hand in this.” “Yeah, it must have,” was all Liv could say. It was getting late by the second almost turning dark outside so Olly drove the girls home. He dropped Liv off first and she said bye with a peck to Olly and a wave to Val. She stood at her porch for awhile looking at them leave. “Olly I’m really sorry about your father. You need to take some time off from all this training. I know you just started and your very curious but take a breather OK?” “After the funeral, its back to training. I’ll be back for training on Monday. OK?” “ok…you know you don’t have to drive me to the lounge I can just call Josh.” “What if I’m driving you to spend just a couple of seconds with you.” He grinned. “Well if that were true I would know it.” “But I still insist lemme drive you to the lounge.” He reached outside the bar the lounge was under and she went out the car. She stuck her head into the car window and was gonna give him a peck on the cheek but he moved out of place and instead gave him a little peck on the lips. They were both in shock and had misinterpreted everything. Val thought he had turned on purpose and Olly thought she had meant kiss him, not that they were complaining. They looked at each other intensely in each others eyes and stared at their lips. She moved in closer and kissed him. He kissed her back. She tried opening the door bit it was locked but then Olly unlocked it as she entered and sat on his laps. She kissed him. There lips burned on each other, the heat between them. She moaned against his lips in those few split seconds their lips parted. She was unbuttoning his shirt. Mean while, Rick and Kathy were home alone. Her parents had gone out. They were in her bedroom on her bed. Her head lay on his chest and her arms wrapped around his torso. His hand slid against her hair. He was staring at the ceiling buy she had seemed to fall asleep. He had to leave but couldn’t, he didn’t want to wake her and honestly he didn’t want leave. He didn’t want to go back and face reality his dad had died and his mom was in pain. He wanted to stay here forever and pretend everything was alright. She woke up but didn’t move away from his chest. “So what are you thinking about?” she asked him. His body stiffened she didn’t know he didn’t know that she was awake. “Nothing,” he told her. “Remember what we’ve always said,” she spoke. “No lies,” they both said at the same time like they had rehearsed it. “mmmhmmm…” she replied. “Well I’m not lying it’s really nothing. Its just not important.” “So it is something.” He didn’t want to start an argument with her so he told her, “I just didn’t want to leave and face reality.” “Then stay with me, only for tonight.” “What about your dad what will he think?” “Oh! Out of all that was going on I forgot to tell you that he went on a business trip for a month. So please stay.”
