Arya’s pov I still remember it all, the day I died. I could smell the burning coil round the room, his heavy steps on the wooden floor. It was the day I took my last breath, the day he betrayed me, the day I wished never had come. It was my mating ceremony. The day my betrayal was vivid and clear. Few minutes ago I stared at myself in the mirror for the fifth time. I couldn't help but admire my beauty, I surely was someone admired by many, but I also have done bad things I wished I never did. Yeah, alot and one, I rejected my mate for a chosen mate, funny right? Anyone else would think so, but he swayed me off my feet, he was a rogue who wandered into my land. He was being chased for a crime he didn't commit. I thought he was a liar and a spy, but sincerely he wasn't, my cold heart opened up to him and it never closed since. The footsteps approached the room slowly and I smiled, I could perceive his scent, it was Acher, my chosen mate. He opened the door and I averted my gaze to him, I was dressed in a short Mini halter dress matched with high Lorenz heels, my long hair reaching to my waist, I looked like a goddess in short. My breath couldn't help but cease on sighting him, the look in his eyes full of love and heart, I knew he loved me as much as I did. I approached him happily, wrapping my arms around him and he chuckled. “You look stunning” he praised and I blushed, placed a strand of my hair behind my ear and he smiled. He pecked my eyes and took hold of my delicate hands. “Arya I love you” he whispered and I blushed, I couldn't help but smile, my eyes drifting to him. Gosh! I love this man so much, I was happy until I saw his face, Yeah my fated mate. He looked so sad, drenched the moment I denounced him. I was a Luna with a mate. I took over ever since my father died and everyone respected me. I can still remember the way his eyes dropped sad, like his whole world crumbled. “I Luna Arya, reject you as my mate” I announced and the whole hall gasped. I could see the shocked gaze on their faces, but It was my decision. My wolf Lily, whimpered in sadness “Arya no” she begged, her pleading ringing in my head, but I was stubborn, a nature I received from my mum. My wolf hurt a lot that night. She went into exile for days. I wouldn't blame her, not being with your fate was cruel, but the decision I made was for my happiness. “I Wayne, Alpha of Moonlit pack, accepts your rejection” his eyes told it all, he was pained, and for some reason I was too. I contemplated throughout that night, if I had done the right thing, but surely I knew I did. I snapped out of my thought and pouted my lips wanting Acher to kiss me, he understood my actions and bent down to my level. His olive scent filled my nostrils and my body shivered. I couldn't wait to be his. After this night, we would mate and finally I will be marked by him. I can't wait, I screamed in my head. His lips were about to touch mine, but the door suddenly creaked open, and Amaya walked in. She was Acher's sister, they both arrived at my pack injured. "Luna, the pack awaits you” she announced and I frowned, I was about to get kissed by my lover. I pouted my lips sadly and gazed at Acher, but his gaze…… I shoved the thought aside and took hold of his wrist. “ I love you” I said loudly, waiting for his response, but his gaze was on Amaya. My eyes palpated in sadness and confusion. “Mate” I yelled in jealousy and confusion, his lashes danced slightly and he averted his gaze at me,I frowned and walked away. He followed after me apparently, but I wasn't ready to hear an apology. Afterall it wasn't the first time he stared at her in such a way, his own sister. I grit my teeth in the thought of his action. “Luna are you okay?” Haven asked and I paused on my steps. “Yes I am” I forced out my lip and smiled, she nodded in understanding and walked away. The door was about to open, I kept a straight face on, and I walked out. The blinding light was all at my face, I blocked them with my hands and flashed my brightest smile. “I really wants to thank each and everyone one present here today, for your support, guidance and training, I wouldn't have been here without you and my parents training, holding onto their legacy, but my time unfortunately has passed, a new head is needed and my chosen mate Acher Luan will henceforth be known and declared as the Alpha of Red Moon pack. I Luna Arya step down my leader position” I announced and the whole hall clapped, I flashed a smile and Acher walked in, he wrapped his hands around my waist and I shivered. His touch was cold and distant for some reason, I could feel the weight of icebergs on me, his grip was hard and I winced slightly. “You're hurting me” I whispered inaudibly I did want the pack to hear me, he flashed a smile and pecked my forehead ceasing the pain. I breathed fresh air in pleasure , but my eyes sighted him. Wayne was walking away, his black coat reaching the ground, his black Gucci shores shiny and sparkling under the dark sky, he looked drained. My eyes shivered in sadness, what was this pain? I thought, I had never felt it before. Did he reject me totally? I walked in my heart, it was too painful to bear, something felt weird. My heart beat dissipated slowly and before I knew it. My eyes closed, I could feel my body crashing to the floor, the last eyes I could see staring at me were his eyes. “Wayne” My eyes spanked open, I tried to stand up but my body ached badly, I could hear the words of others, it was soft, cool and familiar. I muttered up my strength and walked over to the door, I was about to push it open until I heard the voice clearer. “She's naive, Don't worry her pack will be mine very soon” I froze, was that Acher?. My eyes peeped through the hole and I froze. Acher and Amaya in the same bathtub naked, her body glued to each other and Amaya mouth opened in ecstasy. They were having s*x! “She will die tonight'” Acher said and my eyes sank, I couldn't help but stumble backwards and they both went silent. “Who's there?” Acher yelled and I took to my heels, running away. “I had to tell someone, anyone”
