Naïda has recovered her energy but has nothing on which to use it. That is becoming intolerable!
The human concept of hospital will never make sense to her. Even human bodies are equipped to heal most injuries and illnesses they’re prone to, if properly triggered.
It is true that the damage she and Michael suffered was nearly catastrophic. For the first days, she was far from certain that death would not prevail. Decisions of priority were agonizing, especially having to allow radiation-damaged cells to wreak havoc in Michael’s body while she repaired her own substance, because she could not do what had to be done without first regaining some of her own strength.
