Chapter 6: Audacious Request
How long had it been since Kazuki had been able to just spend some time reading? Since his two hundredth birthday, most of his time was taken up by a schedule of political meetings, responding to correspondence, attending balls. Even dinners were rarely quiet, as there were often visitors from other countries to be entertained. But tonight there was no pressure and no desperately trying to feign interest in the droning chatter around him.
