Logan's POV

Divorce? Uh, I did think it was the best thing I should have done a long time ago because then I could let go of the burden that shackled me.

Aurel is a sweet woman and does what I say. But surviving in this world isn't enough with just that. She's nothing more than a village woman who doesn't understand anything that would trouble me. I need a woman who can make me shine even more.

Ever since I met Alice, I've been mesmerized by the sweet smile she gives me. At first, she teased me but I rejected her and then she kept doing it until I became curious and tried different flavors.

Alice is two years younger than Aurel, she is a woman who understands business and can deal with great people with her skills. Until I found out that she was the daughter of the owner of the Greenland Company.

I was lucky to get her because Alice liked me and would willingly spread her legs in front of me. She's my best choice to become more powerful and get the attention of those damn businessmen. That's proven because the business I'm running is getting increasingly famous all because of Alice.

"What are you thinking about, Logan?" The gentle touch on my cheek that brought me to those amber-colored eyes made me smile.

Alice, who will soon become my wife, will make me even more successful. Letting Aurel go is the best decision because she's just an ordinary worker in a small company that won't be able to support me at all.

I held her hand and kissed the back of her hand. "I feel so lucky to be with you." I pressed our bodies together, hugging her hips to strengthen our connection.

Both of our bodies moved together, following me again at this party.

Look at it now, I'm at the Beidan Company party, the big company I dreamed of all those years ago. If it wasn't for her help, I wouldn't be able to be here at all.

A small laugh escaped her mouth. Those thin red lips were very skillful when she played with me. "Of course. It's a good thing you ditched the woman right away."

I nodded. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here to enjoy this luxury. This happiness was like fireworks that suddenly disappeared when I saw a woman and a man dancing together.

I can't believe what I'm seeing. Aurel was dancing with a man with green eyes in a dress that molded her curves perfectly. The way she looked at him was so intense. And something burns in my chest very quickly.

Aurel shouldn't be here and with a man. They looked intense, and she had never looked sexy in front of me like that, cleavage showing. It made me so upset. She should have kept her annoying loose t-shirt on.

"How can that hick be here?" Alice's annoyed voice swept into my ears. Her eyes looked so sharp that she grabbed my shoulders hard. "Do you know why she's here?"

Alice looked at me. Of course I didn't, that's what I was trying to find out why she was here. This was not a place that just anyone could enter. Even Alice used her connections to get us here.

"Look at that b***h, she's with another man." She insulted Aurel, raising a frown on my forehead.

Why am I bothered by what she just said?

As the dance music stopped, the annoyance had taken control of Alice. She held my hand tightly and walked towards Aurel, still with the man. I was also curious because that was what followed her.

"Uh, you did such a dirty trick." She spoke with a huff. Looking at Aurel in the black dress.

The closer I looked at her, the more I marveled at her incredible beauty. Her face is perfectly decorated, with a noisy lower lip she seduces. Without realizing it, I gulped.

Since when did she become this beautiful?

Seeing the man beside her embracing her made me hold my breath. That man shouldn't do that because she's still my wife. "It turns out you had an affair with this man. Isn't your attitude so cheap?"

The man probably didn't know that Aurel was married. This hick must have played a trick to trap this foolish man. I'll ensure he gets what he deserves for what he did to me.

But the man embraced her even tighter. Aurel didn't even resist his actions. The woman tugged at the corner of her left lip. "Don't you have a mirror?" The voice was cold. Aurel may not take good care of herself, but she always tries to speak softly to me. "You're having an affair with your secretary and playing crazy in our room."

I wrung my hands. She was so bold to say such a thing. I looked at her sharply so she wouldn't dare to talk such nonsense again."You guys are divorced, and thanks to that, I can be with Aurel." The green-eyed man kissed Aurel's cheek right in front of me. He must have done it on purpose.

"You need to come to your senses. This woman has deceived you, she is a cunning woman and will only bring you shame." Alice spoke in a deep voice. She had made the mistake of making us the center of attention.

I glanced at her quite sharply. She should have realized that.

The man in front of us was now laughing and immediately drew attention. "She is very dignified. Unlike you, miss, who opened her legs to someone else's husband."

That reply instantly became an exploding bomb. The people who were watching us instantly raised their voices, they were noisy and it was filled with condescension towards us.

Alice just realized it and is now sticking to me. There will be trouble if this gets out. I know that Alice lied to her father, and I don't want to lose this treasure just like that.

I put my arm around her to calm her down. "Don't slander. We never did that." I spoke in a big voice. They all didn't know everything that happened anyway.

To fight these villagers, it was a very easy thing. With the money we had taking care of the problem was easy. In the end they were the ones who would taste the bitter taste.

A smile appeared on Aurel's face. There was something that made my skin crawl instantly, I shouldn't be like this.

Aurel stepped closer to me. She looked at me intensely and pulled her lips back again. "You think I'm stupid."

My eyes widened. A country girl like her was undoubtedly stupid. Even though she worked, she never made more than 1000 dollars in a month. She didn't understand the value of money because she was stupid.

"I have all the evidence of your affair."

"What...?" Her words succeeded in making me squeeze my hands tightly. I couldn't answer her now.

Her eyes looked at me with sharp corners. The hostility was so intense. "You'd better be careful. Isn't that Miss Alice who is having an affair with someone's husband!" her voice was so big.

This time there was no way to stem the curiosity of the people here, they were staring and taking photos of us. This was going to be a challenging problem.

While dealing with the people swarming around us, Aurel left with the man smiling.
