Chapter 23: It's Her

"No, it will make me feel great."

I felt blood rushing down my veins and the intent of killing someone makes me feels great.

The chief of our station needs to pay for what he have done. He killed my parents to be in his position today. He only wanted the power and money.

"Ainsley, don't do anything", Azrael said and hold my hands.

I took my hands off him and walk out of his room. As I opened the door, I am now at our station.

W-what happened?

"Ainsley? What are you doing here?", Amanda asked me. I was about to answer her when someone caught my attention. Mr. Gregorio.

"Hey chief!", I yelled and wave at him.

He look at me and smile. "Oh Ainsley, what can I do for you?", he asked me.

I smirked at him. "Die."

I elevate him into the air and choked him. This is it, I am going to kill the murderer of my parents.

"W-why?", he asked me but I just faked my laugh at him.

"Ainsley, what are you doing?", Amanda asked me in shock. Every police get their guns and pointed at me. Oh right, they all think highly of this guy when they didn't know what an asshole he really is.

I make their guns pointed at themselves. This is how you supposed to play.

'Kill him now', I heard someone whispered in my ears. 'He murdered your parents, he deserves it.'

He is right. I stared at the chief who is now struggling. "You killed my parents! You killed them because of your hunger of power!"

I suddenly felt something changed in my eyes but it doesn't last for a second. Demons and angels started to popped up out of nowhere.

"What am I doing here?", an angel asked himself and look at me. "Oh god. Is she?", he asked while pointing at me.

"Ainsley, what are you doing?!", I heard Lucifer calling me. "Stop that!", he added.

I shook my head. "No, no, no. I want him dead."

I gripped my hands tightly but was stopped when someone hugged me from behind. "Ainsley", he whispered into my ears sweetly.

I lose my focus and the chief falls onto the floor.

"Ainsley, you need to stop. This isn't you", he said again while hugging me tighter.

Tears started to fall into my cheeks as I realized what I had done. I hold Azrael's hand and apologized to him. "I'm sorry", I said as I started to cry more.

I shouldn't have done that. I should just make him pay for what he did by means of putting him in prison. I shouldn't have thought of killing him. I-I'm sorry.

Azrael smiled and wrap his arms around me.

"That's so sweet but what should we do to them?", Lucifer told us while pointing at the polices I controlled before.

Oh right, how did I control them? That wasn't part of my ability. And how the hell I teleported here?

"Maybe because my gut feeling says I am right?", Lucifer sarcastically told me while walking towards me.

I remove my hands off Azrael and look at him. "What do you mean by that?", I asked Lucifer but he just smirked at me.

"Look at them", Lucifer said and pointed at the angels and demons here in the place.

Angels started to remove their memory of what had happened and the demons on Lucifer's side cleared the mess I made. I felt like they really could be at peace by doing things with the help of each other.

"Hey demon! Can you please shut up for a minute? You are ruining my concentration", an angel hissed.

"Maybe you are just not that powerful so you are losing your focus by just a tiny sounds I make", the demon said.

Before they actually fought, their mates started to shut them up.

I sighed. I take back what I said, they can't be together.

"Uhm, are you trying to made me see that angels and demons are not really gonna be at peace?", I asked Lucifer but he just rolled his eyes at me.

"That was not I am trying to made you see. Think of the bigger picture, why are they all here?", Lucifer asked me. Well, I didn't know.

I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. Why are doing here? Does something bad happened to heaven and hell that's why you are here?", I asked him back which made Lucifer irritated at me. Why? I don't know what they are trying to tell me.

"Ainsley, because you summoned them", Azrael answered my question that made me shocked.

"W-what? Me? I summoned them? That's purely impossible. I didn't even know how to summon a demon or angel so how can I possibly do that?", I asked them. My mind is so confused right now. What are they even trying to tell me?

I just felt something changed or something that clicked my sould and then they were here. That wasn't it right?My only ability is the eyes of death. I still can't even unlocked the full potential of my ability and yet, now they are telling me I can summon angels and demons?

"Well, you can also teleport, move things and control someone", Lucifer added.

"Can you try not to believe what you saw or your gut feeling are saying? Maybe there's a reason why I can do that?", I asked them both.

"Like what kind of reason? You being the bridge of heaven and hell?", an angel said as we speak.

I analyzed his face and he seems to be familiar to me. Where did I see him again?

" I am Gabriel, you may know me as to the angel who delivers the prophecy to mortals and we actually met before so I am familiar to you", he introduced his self.

I was taken aback by what he just said. Seriouy? Gabriel? The Archangel? "You are not joking aren't you?", I asked him for assurance but he just laughed at me and shook his head.

"Why? Does he seemed to be demonic?", Lucifer asked me that made Gabriel stared at Lucifer like he wants to pinch him to death.

Maybe I should stop them before they actually started an apocalypse in front of me. "So, what do you mean by me being the bridge of heaven and hell?", I asked them.

I sat on the chair beside me and they also did.

"A bridge is a mortal or human that was blessed by the God to become the link between the two dimensions. He or she can summon either any type of angels and demons", Gabriel explained to me.

My confusion started to build up. I don't remember myself being blessed by someone. I just remembered that I was baptized before but every christians had been baptized right?

"Actually, God blessed the mortal soul not the physical form of the human. You may be reincarnated and your doings on your past life made God seemed to see something in you so he decided to blessed your soul", Azrael added that somehow cleared my confusion.

I shook my head at them as a disapproval. "Elinora, Bliant and other mortals who have supernatural abilities are being blessed anyways. How come I am different than them? I am also blessed to have the eyes of death as my ability. I can't be blessed again."

Lucifer rolled his eyes at me at put his arms around my shoulders. Azrael stared at him but Lucifer doesn't seem to mind it at all.

"You know what, to make it short. Supernatural abilities are given by demons or angels. It may be the effects of something that happened in them or they just enhance your inner ability that came from your genes. Like what Azrael did to you. You already have the ability to see the death of others in your dreams but Azrael only give some tiny little dust in your eyes to make you see the dead and it enhances your ability more", Lucifer explained briefly. Please remind me more that the king of hell is much more great at explaining than others.

Azrael removed Lucifer's arms in my shoulders that made Lucifer chuckled before he continue what he was saying.

"So you being the bridge was given by the God himself, that's why it is special", he added.

The confusion is now clear but it doesn't explain the question, 'why me?'. I still doesn't know what made the God choose me. Did I really do something in the past that made him see the best in me and choose me other than anyone else?

Azrael patted my shoulders. "Don't think of anything. If God sees something in you, then that means you are much better than anyone. Just remember that God sees your potential and he gave you that ability so you should use it for good", Azrael assured me.

"Or for me. You can be in my side if you want", Lucifer cut Azrael off.

Azrael and Gabriel gave him death stares but Lucifer doesn't mind it at all. "I think you should go back. I can handle this", I told them.

The angels and demons started to go back to their respective territories as they finished what they are doing and it seemed they pause the time so everything may go back to normal once we all left the scene.

"All right, but Ainsley, I remind you, use that ability for good", Gabriel told me but his eyes seems to be on Lucifer which was just smiling at him.

I just nodded at him and bid my goodbyes to both of them.
