Chapter 22: Revenge Is The Key

"Ainsley, wake up."

I heard a familiar voice of a woman. I tried to open my eyes but all I can see is white. What is happening? Is this the heaven? Am I really dead?

"Honey, it's your birthday. You want to go to the amusement park, right?", she added. Amusement park? Wait, I remember this scene.

I just felt someone caressing my hair. The white wall started to fade and now I can see who is the woman talking to me.

I was stunned. I couldn't believe what I am seeing.

M-mom?

My mother smiles when she notices me waking up.

"I am glad you are now awake. You need to clean yourself first then go to the kitchen okay?", she told me before she kissed my forehead and walk out.

I look around my room and I just remembered that this is the exact date they will die because of the car accident.

"Ainsley, are you done already?", she asked me from the kitchen.

My body started to do something I didn't even tried to do. "5 more minutes, mom", I said sweetly. My body acts like what I did before and I am only watching it subconsciously.

What I am doing here? Is this really the heaven?

I just remembered landing onto the fish port safely. And also Jayden...

Jayden killed me?!

But, that voice is exactly the same as the shadow. But its face is like Jayden's.

Was Jayden possessed at that time?

I sighed. What is the point of finding all those answers if I am already dead?

I focused on where I was but I am dumbfounded when I noticed that I am now in a different scenario. I am now inside the car with both of my parents in the front seat.

No, this can't be. This is the same scene where they died. I should stop them.

I tried to shout but there's no sound coming from my mouth. I can't even open it and say something.

"Honey, what do you want to ride first?", my mother asked.

No, no, no. Make them stop the car.

"Rollercoaster, mom", I answered unwillingly.

"That is scary. Are you sure you want to ride that?", my father asked me while he is driving which I just nodded as an answer.

Just please stop the car. Make it stop. Just go back! I don't want to go to the amusement park. I just want you safe.

Tears started to fall down to my cheeks. Wait, am I crying?

I touched my cheeks and noticed that there is really tears in my eyes. How did this happened? This never happened on the exact scene.

"Ainsley? Are you crying?", my mother asked me.

This is my chance. "M-mom stop!-"

My mother looked at me confusedly. She heard me? "What stop?"

I couldn't utter any word. It is like I am in silence. What is happening? I already did it! Stop this car!

"Ainsley? Are you sure you are okay?", she asked again but I still couldn't answer.

I felt my body suddenly reacted and nodded. "I am okay, mom."

My mother just smiled and arrange her posture.

Am I possessed? But, I did really cried and said something.

I looked at the window but a bright light suddenly caught my attention and the next thing I knew, I am already standing outside of the damaged car.

Tears started to fall into my eyes. I am sure I am not in heaven. Is this a vision again? I don't want this. Please, I want to wake up already.

I went inside and hug my parents who is now covered in blood. They shouldn't be like this. If I didn't tell them I want to go to the amusement park, this could not happened.

I felt someone coming into my direction. I look at him and I was shocked when I knew who that man is.

He looked inside the car like he was trying to look for something and when he already did, he get something into his pocket.

It was a gun.

He pointed it straight at me and devilishly smiled. "Die."

Bang!

I woke up in a familiar place and everyone is looking at me worriedly.

"Thank god! You woke up", Elinora said and hug me tightly. They are safe? I though they dies? But why are they so worried at me?

I am now in our living room in our meeting place and everyone is here, including those who I think was drowned and the one who I think just killed me.

"I thought you guys, died?", I confusedly asked them.

They all look at me like I just said a very shocking news that is impossible to happened.

"What do you mean we die? Ainsley, you are unconscious for two days straight", Madison said.

W-what? T-two days?

"TWO DAYS?!!!"

Oh my god! Don't tell me everything that happened to me in the island wasn't real?

"You became unconscious when Azrael killed the half demon and half human and after that, you didn't woke up", Mason explained at me.

"Azrael also couldn't read your mind. He tried everything but seems someone or something is blocking your thoughts", Madison said that confused and shocked me.

"Someone blocked my thoughts? Now, do you still couldn't read me?", I asked Azrael.

He gives me a glass of water before he answered. "Now I can hear you. Maybe a demon used its ability to you."

"Oh right, you are crying before you woke up. Did something happened?", Jayden asked me. I looked at him but his voice is now like that shadow anymore.

I told them what I just dreamt or if it is my vision. They were all shocked, specially Jayden when he knew that he killed me in my dreams. But Azrael seemed much more worried than before.

After the storytelling time, they all did what they are doing before. Bliant, answering his homework while Madison is his tutor. Elinora picking up his son while Mason and Jayden goes home.

I knocked on Azrael's room but it seemed it was open. "Azrael?", I asked.

"Come in", he answered and I do so. "Close the door", he told me.

I closed the door and went near him. "I know you are bothered about that shadow man", I told him but he just chuckled.

"Yeah, you seemed to feel it?", he asked and I just nodded.

I sat on his bed. "Do you think it is Samael?", I asked him again.

He sighed and sit beside me. "I think so. There are chances that he may be the reason why I can't read your thoughts. Only Lucifer and him is the persons I know who can do that", he answered.

So, Samael invaded my thoughts. He tried to find something on me or he is trying to control me by means of making me emotionally weak. But he didn't know that me being emotional is what makes me stronger.

He patted my shoulders. "Don't think of it. We are all glad you are now safe", he said and smiled at me.

"Azrael", I said that caught his attention.

"Hmmm?"

"I know who killed my parents", I told him.

"I know but Ainsley, revenge isn't the only way", he said but I just shook my head.

He killed my parents but he is still in his position and is now successful. That doesn't count as justice. I want to make him pay for what he did.

"Then just put him into the jail", Azrael said after reading my thoughts.

"No, I want him dead."

Azrael look at me as if I said something wrong. "You are not the Ainsley I knew."

"He killed my parents. Both of them, do you know how much I had lost since then? Azrael, I become an orphan at a young age!", I yelled at him.

He tried to make me relaxed but I just can't. "Ainsley, his death won't make you feel good."

"No, it will make me feel great."
