Chapter 21: Reincarnation

"Azrael?! Where are you?!", I shouted everywhere but no one seems to hear my call.

He can hear me even we are far from each other right? But why he can't do it now? Azrael, please I need you.

"He can't hear you here", a man suddenly said behind me. I was stunned and fear started to envelope my feelings.

I look at my back and I saw a black persona. He didn't have a face but I know he is powerful. His aura screams death, pain and miseries. Who the hell is he? Is he like a powerful demon or something?

"Ainsley!"

I suddenly opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was Azrael looking at me worriedly. What just happened? Why am I in a different place again?

I massaged my head which is now in pain but I don't know how it ended that way it was now. I just remembered that I was lost, I don't remember being hit by a rock or knocking off.

"What happened?", I asked Azrael who seemed to be worried about me.

"I also don't know. You just passed out", he answered. "Maybe the demon tried to use its ability to you but because of your ability, it just makes you unconscious for about five minutes."

I look at him confusedly. "Did you just said I am unconscious for about five minutes? How the hell? It doesn't make any sense, I just felt like it happened for just a minute."

Azrael shrugged his shoulders. "Maybe it was because of your ability?", he asked me but I didn't believe him. That reason just doesn't make any sense. If it was because of my ability, why does Mason and Madison who are more powerful than me became a victim?

I shook my head. "No, I am sure it is certainly not because of that. I actually saw someone in there. It was like a shadow who talks like a man coming from a very deep and dark place", I described.

"You are really terrible at describing", he told me and help me to stand up.

"Okay, okay, I don't know alright? But he was like Lucifer. I just felt some major creepy and very dark atmosphere in him. It was like when you are around him, you are feeling so terrible", I added.

Azrael stopped for a moment. "Are you sure you felt something like that?", he asked me which I just nodded.

"Of course! I wouldn't try lying to you, it just didn't make any sense if I do. I want to get out of here fast, you know?", I said while trying to clean my hair which the bird pooped.

"This is so gross", I added in disgust.

Azrael look at the tracks he left earlier. "We need to get out of here now", he said to me.

"Out of the forest?" I got up and cleans up myself.

"No, out of this island", he answered and started to walk onto the path we walked before.

Wait, did I hear it right? O-out of this island?

"Azrael! How about the demon that hypnotized them?" I rushes towards him. This man really walk big.

"They will be back from normal if we get out of here safely", he answered before we finally arrived at beach.

Luckily, they are still unconscious. Azrael and I put them in the boats with the help of his clones. I really can't differentiate the clone from the original because it really just look and acts like him but the clones can't talk, unlike the original one who only likes to boss me and say anything that praises him.

Later, the island suddenly started to shake. It was like a someone is trying to keep us here. Is it the demon I saw earlier? Azrael still didn't tell me who it is. That demon was so dark, much darker than Lucifer and all I can sense was death, cold and fear into him unlike Lucifer who still have kindness into him.

The waves are also massive and I know if we try to go back to the main coast, we will be all dead. It is either the waves will eat us or we will be drowned.

"Seriously? They want us to leave at first and now they are trying to keep us?!", I shouted irritatedly. Azrael just chuckled at me.

I still couldn't see my death as of this moment so it means this is not the place nor time I will die. But maybe it had some glitches? Oh god, I don't know what to believe anymore.

"Demons are more clever than human but they are also sometimes stupid", Azrael told me before he gets into the boat. "What are you waiting for? Get in!", he shouted as the waves are going stronger and higher than usual.

I don't have a choice but to get into one of the boats with Jayden who is still unconscious.

The other boat with Mason and Elinora was with Azrael's clone while Bliant and Madison is with the original Azrael.

Is he sure this will help us leave the island? A small boat versus a huge wave? Things really does not make sense in Azrael's vocabulary.

"Don't try to paddle, just let the waves", he reminded me but I was hesitant to do what he just said.

"But, if we let the waves we will be stuck here in the island", I told him.

He arranged Madison and Bliant in the boat before he answered me. "I told you, demons are sometimes stupid", he said before he remove the paddle on his boat. Is he sure about this? But he is so confident that this will surely save us yet I am still so confused to what to believe.

In the end, I did what he just did. I cab trust him because he saved me for so many times and I am sure he would not do anything that can lead to my suffering.

I grasp into both sides of the boat firmly and prayed for my safety. I trust Azrael and I trust my ability but I am still scared. Who wouldn't be scared if their life is on the line?

I felt the waves are getting higher and higher. I look around and I don't see Azrael and the other boat anymore.

Oh my god. D-did they drowned?!

"Azrael!", I shouted but no one answered. Oh please, he is the angel of death. He wouldn't die because of drowning.

Minutes had passed and waves are now calm. But still, no signs of them.

The waves brought me into the fish port and I saw our car, still parked into the place Azrael parked it before.

I leave the boat and tied it into a tree.

I searched everywhere but still, I couldn't see any traces of them. "Please don't tell me you are dead."

"Actually, you are the dead one."

I heard that voice before. The shadow. It is him. But, how did he end up here? I thought demons are only trapped in the island.

I didn't look at him as I am surely will be doomed again if I do so. Last time something changed and I know if I look at him again, this scenario will change again. Why am I seeing this as a pattern or somehow like a vision of mine?

"Mind if I can see your face?", he asked me but I don't want to. I don't know what he is up to but I don't trust this man.

He maybe notice that I didn't even move or try to do what he said so he tried to manipulate my body. He made me look at him but the next thing I knew, I was succumbed into the darkness and the last thing I saw was Jayden, holding a big stone with blood into it.
