Enzo "The woman who carries the pure Drew bloodline and the white wolf Queen shall be your fated mate, Alpha Enzo. She will bear your seed and continue your bloodline. With the power she possesses, none shall challenge you and your dynasty will reign forever." I was only eighteen when I became the Alpha, a young and burdensome age, but yet I never complained. According to the clan law, my wolf, Gose, was supposed to choose my mate during the mating ceremony but not one female stood out. Like I always did, I didn't flinch. My dominance was vast, no one dared to challenge me. I wield fear like a blade. Every pack bowed to me without needing a Luna by my side. Years passed and Gose still hadn't made a move, his silence was deafening. I needed an heir, it's something I can never deny. I spread the word of the white wolf Queen to be brought before me and, over the years, several women have graced my throne, specifically inspected by Gose, but yet nothing. Until her. Gose was relentless that night, something he had never done before. I had no choice than to trust his instincts. He found her. After years of waiting for my mate. Kora gave me all the information I needed about her. They will all pay! Ethan and his entire clan will feel my wrath. A perfect oval face with eyes crystal clear. I can vouch that her beauty doesn't need to speak to command attention even in the midst of the crowd. Her white hair flows into the waves, her lips tiny but powerful enough to lay a grown man. At first, I thought she couldn't be my mate. I am Alpha Enzo and won't bend to beauty but Gose had other plans. My mate will never be someone who has been touched by another man. Never! But with her, I see fire in her eyes, so fierce. I fell for her that night. The moment I sank my teeth in her neck, my blood boiled, my eyes turned gold. "She's the Alpha's mate," an elder screamed from among the guests. "That's our Luna," another exclaimed. The hall reeked of awkward silence. Eyes scanning at every corner. No one wanted to break the silence and for a moment, my fingers trembled as I pulled away from my Luna. My breath shortens. I have never been this humbled by a woman. I hope no one saw me. I can see her legs trembling. A lot of things are happening right now, the bond forming between our wolves is immense. I can feel it. The connection, it's inseparable. I move closer, watching her stumble with tears streaming down her face. "I need some time alone," her voice can barely be heard in the ballroom. I can't escape the dark smile that curls on my lips right now. "Enzo," Kylie screamed at me. "Isn't this too much for the event? It's your birthday and your family is here. The whole pack is gathered to celebrate you. Why don't we focus on you instead and bother ourselves about that woman later? Besides, you don't have to accept a lone wolf. I can't even sense a wolf in her." I pretend not to hear a single word. Kylie has always been on my neck since we were little. Sometimes I feel like she has a crush on me and can't tolerate any woman around me. The only reason I constantly ignore her is because of her Father. Elder Karl is my family's advisor and my father's best friend before he died. Without him, I would have failed as Alpha of my pack. My only concern is my mate. I see dizziness all around her, and before she could collapse to the ground, I rush off towards her, spreading my arms to have a catch. "Kora," I screamed. * "Maybe you were too hard on her, Alpha Enzo. She will be fine, she just needs a good rest and some time to think, Kora," the pack's healer, my childhood friend and my most trusted and loyal subject, says. "But why her Enzo?" "When she wakes up, we will have a talk with her," Karl, my family's advisor and the oldest elder of the pack muttered. "I need a moment with her," I declared. "But—" Kora put up a protest. I shot her a cold glare, and she trembled, but before they could all go away, Kylie appeared with a frown so hard on her face that it made the air thicken around us. "I will stay too. I still didn't trust her yet." Everyone quickly rushed off, but Kylie stood aside. I respect elder Karl so much and wouldn't dare to disrespect his daughter in front of him. "Look," she whispered. "I have a plan. Come to my room tonight. We need to make her reject you if this is all her shitty manipulation to get an Alpha King to claim her. Words got out, she is cursed." With no one to witness, I growled deeply enough to wake my wolf, threading a more deadly aura than I normally do. Kylie's legs start to tremble, and I can hear the whimpering of her tiny wolf. "Leave us," I command. Her fist clenched and she swallowed anxiously only to glance at Davina before exiting the room. I sit next to the woman I have been waiting for all these years. "Are you worried she won't like you back?" Gose asked. "Do you think she might reject you?" "No Gose. I should have been there earlier. They almost killed her. I could have missed her for life and have my pack fall into mayhem." Sigh. Kora exclaimed behind the door. "No! This cannot be happening…. Why is he here? Not tonight..."
